onatisi: exactly, the absence of young new dynamic entrants into the political scene is what makes the older politicians to keep coming back to power every young man is busy fighting for his future and survival because there is no system on ground in Nigeria that guarantees any thing. in Nigeria you are on your own unlike other western countries . even right now , you are outside Nigeria trying to make a living and to secure your future , you are not willing to drop that because of Nigeria politics . the same thing too applies to other Nigeria youth You are right sha. |

onatisi: why cant you present yourself for election? is it bad if you present yourself? why are you waiting for others to do something you yourself can do ? instead of shouting and crying shame shame all over nairaland , you just stand for election and see if we wont support you Maybe when I am back in Nigeria and opportuned to get into the political arena... |

Shame on Nigeria! Shame on Nigerians especially our "youths" who keep encouraging the recycling of these old cargoes to rule while they are used for snatching of ballot boxes instead of functioning in the corridors of power like their counterparts in developed countries.
Atiku again? And after him, will it be a son of Timubu or someone from the Yaradua family? And the cycle continues. |

Emmytes: Op, I found it hard to believe that you've been in the Us for 10 years and you don't have a green card yet. You are definitely not a full blooded Nigerian cause we are smarter than that.
If you've stayed in the US for 10 years and you don't have a permanent resident status then I must say that you weren't advised properly.
Don't you have parents, family members etc to advise you? By now you should have been properly settled and even thinking of starting a family depending on your age.
I'm assuming you travelled on a student visa and I've seen people go to the states with a tourist visa and in less than 5 years, they are already permanent residents.
Nigeria is in shambles right now and you'll be doing yourself and your future generation a lot of injustice if you ever attempt to leave the states for Nigeria without a backup plan. Don't do it. Not that this is a wrong advice but it is kinda funny. |

Afam4eva: Why should you advise a Pastor when he's next after God. He can't do any wrong. The moment a person is proclaimed a pastor, he can't do any wrong. He's half spirit/half human. Even asking this kind of question may annoy God. This sarcasm though... |
