Foxrain:I write scripts...yeah that's correct. |

Who? |
Na wa. ![]() Happy Birthday. |
It takes more than old age to be a "legend" of an art or expertise. Asa Is more of a legend of naija music than Onyeka Owenu but naija ppl will always think they are being respectful by calling every old person in the industry a legend. |
Jesus! Nigeria! I read this story and I was shook. |
kindaguy:Like I mentioned in my previous post, I can only speak for Manitoba, not Prince Edward Island cos I am at the former. |
kindaguy:There is a limit to how much expenses work salary can cover. I mean there are other recurring expenses like rent and phone bills. And person go chop. How much is the tuition that you are talking about? I can only talk for Manitoba but if you are an undergraduate student, no work can cover tuition going close to $10 to $13k. And remember you are to work legally maximum of 20hours per week. |
God help you. ![]() Btw, how old are you OP? |
I have kinda obsessed over people (and even celebrities) in my head lol. Of recent, I think a younger guy I got to know may be obsessing over (or maybe he just admires) me. Anytime I use a word consistently, he starts using them. There was a time he tried to dress like me. It took me a while before I noticed that someone once mistook us for blood brothers. He is very attentive when I am talking and reminds me of the details months after to my utmost shock. If he notices I go somewhere to cut my hair, he will change his barbing salon. And he likes to copy my gesticulations as well. He was sitting one time like that that I was even trying to say he should sit right and then I remembered that is actually how I sit. If I say I have watched a movie, before I know it, he has watched it. He wouldn't even be the one to tell me until it sort of comes up when we and our other friends are discussing. And he likes to yab me though constantly when I am with my other 'older' friends that they keep asking if I had wronged him or smth. But he is also very respectful sha. He says whatever I do easily sticks to his memory. He closely follows and eats what I eat whenever I visit his guardian who is like a family friend at home (he doesn't know I have noticed). The funny thing is this sort of "admiration" made me like him as well (cos I have never experienced such o) and to be honest, I also use some of his words now...lol. And in a gathering, I soon noticed I am unconsciously doing the same gesticulations as him. He has become my adopted brother by force by fire. And I have noticed some strange coincidences with him in terms of time, name and place that I know this is not ordinary. He always reminds me of a younger, braver and more tech-savvy version of myself. |
Wow @ the comments on this thread. I wonder if they will be the same if gender roles were reversed. And this may not necessarily be of jealousy like many are screaming here but breach of trust. I mean (according to OP), they had been friends for 17 years. No blame on the guy because he is an ex and both parties should have moved on but the "best friend" should have applied common sense naa. Or was the guy the first person to ever woo the so called best friend ni? True friendship means nothing to people, alas. |
KushyKush:Lol...nope. |
casby:Your address please? |
muhammadmuqtada:She used a rope. ![]() |
frosbel2:The question is: "Is she actually pretty?" ![]() Nairalanders confusing fair skin with physical beauty. Chai. |
Omotola's best friend is Rukky Sanda? Never even imagined them as in the same level....na wa. |

This is not about Christianity. What they have done is not necessarily wrong if they see the man Of God as their spiritual father (regardless of his age) and coupled with our cultural values, kneeling down is one of the signs of respect. You will not see whites that are Christians doing this. Not that it invalidates the act or validates it either, but trying to use this picture as an attack on Christianity is not it at all. But gestures like these may unconsciously instil pride into the man Of God himself. |
Who? Thank God for his life. |
Who? |
DPizzy:Lol...yeah! ![]() Who be this? You must have lived or currently living in Winnipeg. |
FrankNetter:It is well bro. That guy is nasty though from your story. I remember when I was working at superstore, one of the Philippino guys (they were like 60% of the people in the Produce Department) who was actually friendly asked if I was from Africa. I was like "obviously". He said: "Africa must be a very big country". Ah. I sharply did some Geography 101 for him that Africa is a continent and there are over 50 countries. My country, Nigeria, is just one of them. I asked if he had never heard of Nigeria before, the most populous black nation? He continued: "I have heard of South Africa. Isn't that the Southern part of Africa? And you are saying Africa is not a country?". ![]() Na so I just ignore am. |
fighal:Lol...sometimes it is here. And Winnipeg is not a big city like that but a cool place. |
barondmoni:I will come back to share some of my funny experienced here. |
10. I went to eat in a restaurant and was handed this newspaper to read. This column was so funny I had to take a pic. Savage response. ![]() Oya, I don try! Frank come continue your thread o!
