timifakay: Great thread boss TochiPhotos *thumbs up*
Found this early today and was glued to my phone all day, sent your links to friends and invited some to like the Facebook page... Been so captivating. Congrats on the Vivian account breakthrough, though she lost the battle, God knows best.... I could go on.
I don't know if you can post some in Pidgin English then the British English translation will follow (I guess some people respond in pidgin), I think it may increase the 'Nigerian flavour/ feel'. Thanks for your time, energy and resources. God bless you plenty. Nice suggestion. |

Royver: The memory still clings to me like it was yesterday.
We looked out of this same window, admiring the same lucid scenery from mother nature herself.
She had held me so softly, her body gently but firmly pressed against mine. She had smelled of lavender and hibiscus and her skin had been cool to the touch. we must have stood there for almost an hour, admiring the beautiful scenery as the seagulls flew lazily past in the evening sky. "Let's go for a swim!" She had finally whispered, her lips close to my ear, tickling my ear lobe rapturously. I had smiled and turned to look into her face, her beauiful face, the face of a goddess if ever there was one. She smiled up at me, her beautiful smile invoked in me so much love that I wanted to go on my knees and declare my love once again.
She saw my lips move and quickly put a dainty finger to them, silencing them in one graceful movement. then she grinned and ran out of the room, her flower adorned dress blowing gaily in the evening wind. I ran after her, laughing and making mock attempts to catch her as she ran towards the sea. She stopped suddenly and I bumped into her, almost knocking her over. I wanted to apologise but then again she put her finger to my lips.
"Don't talk, just Be." She said.
Then she took off her clothes before me. Slowly, seductively, almost innocently, her bare beauty was revealed to me. And I marvelled at this natural architecture of wonder, of art, of creation. She looked away shyly and covered her breasts with her arms. Then innocent eyes flashing in determination she stared back at me.
"Your turn" she said softly.
I obeyed. It was the most natural thing to do. In a moment we both stood naked in the Sun's evening light with the foamy waters of the advancing waves beating against our ankles. She drew closer and that hibiscus scent wafted into my nostrils.
We kissed. Our lips touched and it was like little flashes of electricity shared between us. She tasted of chocolate and honey and I couldn't get enough. We were so lost in our kiss that we didnt see the big wave coming and it swept us right off our feet.
I got up laughing and tried to picked her limp form up. It wasn't until I saw the blood gushing from her head and the sharp rock where she had fallen that I began to comprehend what had happened.
What happened thereafter was like a blur. I remember hauling her limp frame back to the house, crying as I stumbled about looking for the car keys, finally finding them and driving like a lunatic to the nearby hospital with her lying in the back seat, blood pooling around her forehead and staining the upholstery...there was so much blood.
The doctors tried thier best to console me, I had been a few minutes too late.
Its been thirty years and the memory still causes me pain. I still smell the lavender and hibiscus anytime I stand by the window. And when the wife asks for the frame to be changed I shake my head stubbornly. When she points out the rotten wooden edges and the rusty hinges I smile reminiscingly. Lately she has come to start joinig me by the window and together we sit and enjoy the evening breeze.
"Its a lovely scenery," she says, but i quickly put my finger to her lips and smile.
"Don't talk," I say, "Just Be." Freemanan: Freedom stares at me with pained eyes but I was too clinged to my confinement. Maybe the creepy skin of the window reads meaning of deceit and pains only awaiting my gullibility. I hate the thought of freedom if this window is my rite of passage. Every bird dream of this moment, not for me. Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! |

favour0011: The only logical conclusion I can reach from these recent refusals after medicals is that cic had reached its quota for September intakes before sending those medical mails and had rescind the decision after discovering this. I stand to be corrected tho. However, I advice the affected applicants to defer to jan 2016 and refire. Dnt give up cos ur almost there!! Does that mean all June applicants et al will be denied I don't buy it. |

Jaymaxxy: What you may not know about late Dr. Adedeji Adejobi
* He had his PhD at the age of 29 * He was one of the best Econometrist in Africa * He was a cheerful giver. In fact, he pays school fees for students who are less privileged. * He enjoyed fighting for the rights of the students * After rounding-up his lecture for the semester, he apologises to the class for anything he might have done wrong. * He was a prince in Orile Owu in Osun State. * Even the dullest student will have a "C" grade in his course. * He was very principled! * He was one of those lecturers that would lecture for 3 hours and the class would be like "we just spent 1 hour"
Adieu Dr. Adedeji Adejobi God bless you for this post! You just summarised what I know about this man. He taught me and so I can boldly confirm what you have here...especially apologizing to students generally after lectures in case he said something (in the course of making the lecture practical and interesting) that didn't go well with a certain group, maybe religious a la Christians or Muslims, or gender a la Male or Female. And this man is damn intelligent! |

This man taught me Marketing in my final year. I know he is a man with a GOOD heart who wants the best for his students, beyond the four walls of classroom sef. This is not about calling him 'nice' because he is dead. Na from him I first heard SWOT analysis.
Some of my colleagues actually shed tears when they heard this heartwrenching news.
May his soul rest in peace. God protect his family in Jesus name in these trying times.
And the assassins and their sender will know no peace!!! |

Just the US Open and she completes the Almighty Grand Slam and equals Steffi Graf. Then, the conversation of the greatest female tennis player or sportswoman can be put to rest. It must pain those white people that an elite game that is believed to be exclusively for the 'whites', a black woman emerges the best and the legend! Serena Williams...trashing those white girls since 1999. |

darefestus ooo.....how many times did i call you...
see ehn with the number of disparities in many cases via online i would say that if you have a lot of waka come documents, vis a vis landed properties in form of DOAs or so many survey plans, reciept of tenants, reciept of transactions made by your sponsors and so on, and these documents occupy like 30pages, dont add them where youre also putting your payslips, letter of employment, letter of introduction and so on. i personally feel your important documents would be at a risk of being overlooked if you do so.
As the online portal guides......if you have just few documents which are straight to the point in each section, then its no issuee.
The way we seek for compressors on this forum is alarming, turn from colour to black and white, shrink from this to that, transfer from this to that.....i think we are putting more than necessary sometimes.
CIC that put 4mbs abi say 4mb dey enough for you to show what you want to show. While you have some points, you tend to overanalyse issues...going back and forth. ...drop this issue and move on. PS: I know you're not the only one analysing, but you are a regular that many have benefited from here. You can benefit from some advice too. |
