Nice one bro... I see what you did with the link there. Another trick: if you want to link directly to a specific post on a page, right-click on the text above the post (i.e. "Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8" ) and copy the link. Using the Nairaland text editor you can hyperlink directly to said post, not just the page of the post.

I would advise that you don't only apply to schools with cheap tuition particularly if your BSc CGPA is above 4.0. As a PhD applicant, you should get funding if you play your cards right; this post (link edited) should help you on tips to find a research supervisor.

After you get admission, you should read at least 400-500 pages of the thread.

Also, I am quite ok at using different tricks to use google to find most things, even content on Nairaland.

Also, it is easier to use Google to find something that I've once read on this thread so long as I remember a key phrase from the post. In addition, I also have a document where I save links from this thread that I consider to contain extremely high value information.

I applied for student visa on 5 of may 2015, I was cald for my medical on d 3 of june 2015 and my visa was denield on the 28 of july 2015 but my medical was 5n. I applied at thompson Rivers university, BC 2ru an agent but I didn't indicate that on d questiona that they gave me d day I submitted my visa application. I answerd dat no one introduce me to the sku dat I search for d sku myslf online. Cud it b dat my visa was denield because I answerd dat I had no agent? Or wot cud b d cause?. Do they use to denield someone visa afta medical nd even afta passin d medical?. I'm confused guys nd I nid ur replies. Tnx

So I just got to vfs office, and I wasn't surprised

They only removed length of proposed stay from my first refusal.

Hi all. Finally picked up my TRV laden Passport yesterday at VAC, Lekki. So grateful to you all. Going to York University, Toronto for LLM. This is my story. My first application was refused on May 4. I reapplied on June 7, got Medical Call on July 18, Passport Request was August 13 and Passport Pick-up was August 18. I thank God for seeing me through. I already listed my docs my I got the medical call. To all TRV hopefuls, I wish u God's grace and mercy. Flying towards the end of this month, still look for accommodation though, anybody going to Toronto or anywhr close to York Uni should pls PM me. Very mank thanks.

@sholay2011, your story is similar to my sister's. After painful two US denials, she decided to apply to a program in Switzerland last November, a few months after applying she found a similar program in Canada and she applied the same essays and app materials that she used for the Switzerland application. This was the only Canada school she applied to and she barely applied before the deadline, and here we are with her TRV. It is truly amazing.

good morning everyone

i'ld like to share my experience with you guys from MMA to Toronto. if you travailing on a student visa pls make sure ur offer letter is in ur hand luggage and your original WEAC or Neco result as print out copies were not allowed and most students traveling were delayed boarding their flights.

my experience at immigrations Toronto

i'ld advice while on queue to see an immigration officer just look out for immigration officer with less wahala which was what i did to avoid mad scrutiny

then make sure u pay at least half ur tuition cos they demanded for our tuition receipt as a prof we were coming to study a Ghanian guy was almost denied entry cos he didnt pay fees bur he was able to prove the school asked to pay on arrival how ever an Arab girl was denied entry as she couldn't prove shes coming to study. don't know if they allowed her later bur she was told to stand at the waiting room

then make sure u have ur account statement to show prove of funds and also show them ur bank cards to show you have access to the accounts.

surprisingly the immigration officer i went to asked me the length of my program which is a year he smiled and said i know you've got your eyes on PR i smiled and said well.. True he briefed me how to go about it and how to extend my visa if i wish to bur i should do it legit.

Thanks everyone for your support if you need any help am willing to assist as long as it within my capacity. And to all TRV hopefuls don't worry too much your approval mail is here keep the hope and faith alive we serve a living God.

I appreciate what u are saying and where u are coming from. But at times the harsh reality of things is different from what u read in motivational books, citing examples of white men who grew up in the western world and what have u.
I think at the end of the day it takes God's grace to pursue one's purpose /ambition to a positive conclusion
