It will shock most people that the full meaning of that quote actually means the reverse of what you think it means. The full quote is:
"The Blood of Covenant (for example marriage) is thicker than the water of the womb (for example, siblings)".

I heard this guy only cast yoruba actors on his projects.
Chioma Chukwuka is Yoruba abi? Or Nse-Ikpe Etim? I think not.

It's refreshing he casts those he perceives fits best into each role, regardless of their stardom.

If you are a Christian then you are not worthy to carry the bible and if you do, why did you read most books written by Paul who was an Antichrist and a man who oversee how thousands of Christian were killed before he was converted.

If a man/woman is in Christ, old things are passed away and all things became new.
Well said. smiley

You will in the end justify yourself and do whatever you want to do, but in my own opinion, that 2 hours is better spent with your wife and children if you got any than what you seem to want to spend it on. If you spent it teaching your children if you got any, maths for instance, you and your's will be blessed.

Moderation, is my word for you. If you were spending quality time with your wife and family she would likely not be complaining so much, and considering you are a doctor with your own practise and other doctors working for you, I doubt you got time for wife.

But I assume. Please tell how many hours work you do in a week. And do not lie!

Nah! Vain worship is not for God at all.
The kind of worship God wants is not what you do in your church buildings on Sundays... Jesus Christ never commanded any of His followers to show up in a building on Sundays to pretend to worship him - doing what sets you against Him.
This is pure balderdash. OP do not listen to this guy if you don't want to be misled. A word is enough for the wise.

Your wife is possessed sir. shocked What is wrong with her? Except you're not giving us the full story...

Please remain zealous for God, stand your ground as the head of the house and ask God for wisdom/insight to this situation. In fact, you're not taking it too far, you have just started. When there is a calling, your heart will be longing to serve God and then get to know Him the more. I really hope you didn't marry the wrong person but there is no situation irredeemable for God. Pray for your wife constantly and deal with her in love.

Guard your salvation with fear and trembling.

He excel in his choose career not doubt, but did he surrender his life to Christ while on earth this is usually where the problem lies with many greats. They feel ashamed to be associated with Christ because of the clique they belong to and their status in the society, but those things don't last. Our primary purpose on earth is to be genuinely reconciled to God, all other breathtaking achievement are nothing but addition. With the grandiose and flattery of beleaguer fanatical fans a church was even build in his name with himself as the object of worship. We should be careful who we worship and where we worship, this is because after death it doesn't take much time before reality dawn on us of what really matters and the sovereignty of Christ over all. Even adherents of Islam and other deviant religious sects all over the world will be dazed after death to see that Jesus is the only way to salvation and none else.

i used to be in your shoes even at this time last year so i understand how you feel. Let me share how I escaped from the trap. I went on my knees privately on 31st dec, 2019 midnight and said a sincere and heartfelt prayer to God about my poor spiritual life, did 21 days fasting programme concerning it and he answered my prayers by baptising me with the Holy Spirit. I now understand what i was doing wrong all this years. I had been serving God with my own strength not by the strength of the Holy Spirit. You see, when the Holy Spirit comes into your life you begin to serve God almost effortlessly. You can pray for hours with ease, fast and sing praises non-stop. If you read the Bible, you will understand the hidden mysteries behind the words and He will direct you to passages you never knew existed. The Word of God will become true in your life like 3D stuffs grin instead of 2D. For it is written, that God is a Spirit and should be worshiped in Spirit and in truth. Romans 8 also talks about the wonderful difference that will manifest in your life after the infilling of the Spirit. I will advise you to go on your knees to beg God to baptise you with your Spirit. p.s it might not happen immediately. Mine took 7 months. God might want to groom you through a certain process so that you will appreciate this free gift.
Well said smiley.
TV/MoviesRe: CITATION: What Do You Think About The Movie?! (SPOILER ALERT) by sholay2011(m): 4:53pm On Nov 23, 2020
Daverytimes:
Lol, I cannot recognize good acting.
I love when random internet people that don't know who they are talking to starts telling that person what they can and cannot recognize.
If you enjoyed her acting then that's perfectly fine, but it's not worth it to discuss anything with you when you say she "did an almost perfect job".
To call that statement laughable would be an insult to laughable statements.
Bros, I don't care for who you are but my post was purely based on what you wrote up there. And it shows clearly that you can't recognize good screen acting when you see one. I'm not sparing you, based purely on that post. Did Temi nail all the scenes? Maybe not as she went a bit out of character in one scene or so BUT unlike the Nollywood definition of acting, she surprised and gave a very solid performance.

Why not give me an example of what you consider good acting in a Nigerian movie so we can judge each other's tastes?
TV/MoviesRe: CITATION: What Do You Think About The Movie?! (SPOILER ALERT) by sholay2011(m): 4:33pm On Nov 23, 2020
Daverytimes:
The movie needed a better lead actress, I think in Nigeria we could have found a lead actress that would better translate the emotions of the character.
This movie sorely needed the main actress to display that emotion and temi was not capable of that.
I don't know how the selection was made, nor who provided the funding for the movie, I just hope she did not get the role due to nepotism, though it's no better if she was chosen based on her acting ability, as that would imply that the people handling auditions have no clue what good acting looks like.

Overall I would say the movie was beautifully shot the cinematography was good, colours where not vibrant but was well suited to the theme of the movie, music choice was questionable but acceptable. Sound mixing was hit and miss, and overall atmosphere was acceptable.
Are you kidding me?? Temi did an almost perfect job. One of the best lead performances in recent times of Nigerian cinema. You don't even recognize good acting when it's staring at you. Nigerians are not the best at reading subtletly of screen acting but prefer the overacting that involves screaming, shouting, tears, hyperventilating and more screaming. Shiorr.

And I am surprised this thread made frontpage when the OP is clearly stating he watched a pirated copy of a movie he can watch on Netflix...and even provided the link on the same thread. This is just...sad.

Movie could have been shorter but I loved the gradual build-up. Temi, Jimmy-Jean Louis, Gabriel and Madam Awosika killed their roles. Ini Edo tried her best but her character was just flat...mostly due to writing imo. Very good cinematography and direction. The feasibility of certain events in the movie remain questionable but a very good effort from Nollywood imo.

Lol.. Praise God! Please keep dishing out warfare prayers. Warfare prayers spoils many things for witches and demon spirits.

I remember the experience i had in the village, during my university days. I woke up from sleep in the middle of the night, at about 1;30am or thereabout. I went back to sleep but felt someone tap me, and then i got up again. This time i couldn't sleep no matter how hard i tried. To be honest, i was a lazy prophet at that time. lol

Anyway, i knew it was God doing the whole thing so i told myself "Let me just go and read my Bible since He won't let me sleep". I grabbed my bible and went to the parlor to read. Then at that time, i heard someone turn on a tap to put water into a bucket.

I paused. The Holy Spirit reminded me, that someone always turned the tap on at that exact time every single night! It was 2am by the way.

The running water was coming from my Grandfather's brother's (grand-uncle) house, who lived in the same compound with us, but different houses.

The Holy Spirit told me that the wife of my grand-uncle always put water in the bucket, dipped her legs inside and used it to go for witchcraft meetings.

I now understood why God woke me up. I got angry in my spirit. I got up and started some hot warfare prayers.
* Warfare prayers is hottest when angry (holy anger).

I was about 20 mins into the prayers when i started hearing a very loud noise coming from our gate. We shared this gate by the way.

The gate was shaking so loudly, it was like two people were struggling with each other at the gate. That noise ought to wake up the whole house, but no one in my house or theirs woke up. The more i prayed, the more the gate shook, very loudly.

When i ceased the prayers after about an hr, I heard the sound of flapping wings... not like a bird's but like a human being or angel that had wings. It was extremely loud & heavy. Something took off in the air. And it wasn't a bird.

It was about past 3am now. I sat down to do some more bible studying. Then i heard my grandmom call me.
But as i heard my name, the Lord opened my eyes at that time and showed me a spirit dressed in white that stood beside my grandmom's room. It was the spirit that called my name, but in my grandmom's voice.

I knew not to answer, but i got up and went to my grandmom's room, only to see the old woman fast asleep. I laughed and went to bed.

But it wasn't over.

In my room, i saw myself go to my door to block my door, for i felt someone "unwanted" coming to my room. So i felt i should guard my door and block the person by the time they came. As i waited by the door, my aunty came wanting to enter my room. I was taken aback, It wasn't who i was expecting. I was suspicious, so i blocked her and i asked her why she was here at that time, she didn't respond. She just gave me the most wicked smile i had ever seen.

My discernment shot through the roof. I was fully aware now that i was dealing with a spirit/demon. At that time, the disguise faded out and changed to its real self, the spirit dressed in white. I quickly turned to go to the bed. The spirit held my hand, and i felt it's strength. It was a strong man. But i struggled with it and freed my hand, hastened to my bed. There, i saw my body lying on the bed. I stood over my body. Put my hand in my hand, my feet in my feet, and entered into my body. Then i woke up!

It was my spirit the Lord was using all this while to guard the door to prevent the evil spirit from coming to attack.... for my warfare prayers had offset that witch and had even offset the spirit she summoned to attack me. That spirit was a fallen angel.

The next morning, the Holy Spirit stirred me up to stay in the balcony as early as 7am. As i stood there for no reason, i saw my grand-uncle's wife (the witch) coming into the compound. I greeted her. But she came to me, and asked "Who are you?". I smiled and didn't answer (not sure) because i knew what her question meant. Of course, she already knew me since i was a child. As she walked away, the Holy Ghost told me she was looking at me through a peephole in the wall from behind. I turned back to meet her gaze, she quickly sped off inside her house.

So this was why the Holy Ghost told me to come out? I laughed and went inside.

Spiritual warfare is not just fire! It could mean the death of several agents at that time. Witches and Wizards live among our friends, neighbours, relatives and even families. Always be a prayerful Christian. keep it up Perra and everyone else! wink

God bless you smiley

I only follow CharlyG1, hence, read his posts and quotes only. I decided to check out the thread a bit today. Alas, a Christian thread has turned to 'A Nite Of Thousand Laughs'. CharlyG1 said it repeatedly that no reply should be given to the trolls. Unfortunately, people kept on replying... binding and casting out demons has been the order of the day. If u all know these trolls very well, you'll know that you have a long way to go with them. They are unapologetic and incorrigible.
Funnily, I don't see these trolls has demon/marine/satanic agents as they've been portrayed. They are only catching cruise. And a lot of people fell for that. They will not leave this thread as long as you keep replying them.
Again, you Christians should ignore them.
I agree with you but disagree with the emboldened. I get your point but even when satan is using certain people, they wouldn't know because there will still be a rational explanation to back it up, such as catching cruise and taunting 'religious people'...but by the help of the Holy Spirit, we discern what is really going on. Remember Peter rebuking Jesus in Matthew 16 for saying He is going to die seemed rational and even caring, but Jesus knew satan had hijacked Mr Peter. Nonetheless, we should learn to ignore them.
