do you mean I should open a domiciliary account with Nigerian bank and the living expenses will be there and then upload the statement?
Yes. A letter of explanation and statement of account

Any fall intake applicants awaiting medical request instead of doing upfront medicals, might as well defer admission since you're in no rush.

Hello guys
Please who here applied in march and has gotten a response from IRCC, either PPR or Rejection?

I also want to know if there has been a case where IRCC updated upfront medicals to passed and still rejected the applicant?

I applied for my cousin in march and i’ve not received a response, I even ordered gcms and nothing there.

Pleasee help !!

I will appreciate responses!
We have seen March, April, May applicants get PPRs and refusals; however so many in that timeframe are still awaiting final decision.

Hello gurus in the house, I need urgent advice, I've already submitted my application since May whereby I used my maternal uncle as my sponsor tho we're not bearing the same surname and we only back it up with a letter from him that he'll support me and a court affidavit being my uncle and ready to sponsor me through my studies, I submitted all NSE requirements his MBS and Ielts and he's international passport.
Please is there any thing I need to do maybe through webform in order to back it up before the final decision will be made. Please I need urgent response. THANKS
Have him send your living expenses to your account. It will be more convincing if you open a domiciliary account and show the fund in USD currency.

Hello Everyone,

I've been an active reader for a while now.
My SP journey has been a ride.
I applied on my own March 2020, and got refused 2 months after due to 'situation of employment' - even though I have a full-time job and submitted all required documents. I engaged an IRCC consultant and reapplied in July 2020, refused again- 1-year tuition paid, and had a reasonable amount of funds left in my POF. Then I went through JR in August, application reopened after the settlement offer.

(On the side---- after JR, I started learning French, finished my masters, passed TEF some weeks ago, and my CRS is now 536)

Back to the study permit, my GCMS notes arrived some days ago and I noticed that the application was approved in March (eligibility, criminality, and medical passed) and PPR was to be issued on March 11, then the status changed to "canceled" on the next page. (I changed my college in between because at the time JR verdict was out, I didn't have admission anymore in the first college, and no other available intake for the next 2 semesters)... so the approval was for the previous college (I saw this in the notes). I actually received Medical and BVL updates around that time too.

Towards the end of May, IRCC sent an update saying they are reviewing my additional documents (the new LOA).

That's the update so far. We are still waiting. We are also hoping FSW opens soon.

Congratulations to all PPR candidates, and all the best to 'us' awaiting PPR.

Wishing you all the best. May God save everyone from malicious officers. A lot of people don't have the patience or money for judicial review.

Good day all.we don enter 2nd of July ooo.but @Lianna still dey 1st of July.at least Nigeria dey enternew year b4 Canada. lol.any that aside .please Gurus, we realize that GIC can only be bought by the applicant and a sponsor cant purchase GIC for the person he is Sponsoring so my Brother hu is a PR has decided to pay for my 1 year full tuition. my question is simple, sending his account statement will not affect my application positively as he Just bought a house in Canada and is paying monthly mortgage. meaning ,he does not have sufficient proof of fund as a sponsor. He however intends sending his last 6 months pay stub, letter of employment and his wife letter of employment in addition to the initiative he had taken to pay my 1 year tuition fee.however I have #13m in my account as co sponsore.is this sufficient, especially since I intend purchasing GIC out of d 13m to show I am also responsible. note, I am 31yrs,study gap 10 yrs and married with a kid.thanks 4 ur anticipated replies
Since he has decided to pay your tuition fee, you don't need GIC anymore. His sponsorship letter should state he is going to be responsible for the payment of your tuition fee for the entire duration of your studies and that he has paid a year tuition. You just present the 13m in your account as fund for living and traveling expenses. No need for GIC again. The arrangement is not an essential requirement especially for Nigerians.

thank you for your response bros.problem is he only has the 10,000 CAD for now because of his mortgage plus his wife just gave birth and is on 1/2 salary.so he can't pay that.mehn.God help me.this POF is giving me head ache.
In that circumstance, your packaging makes sense. I however don't have any experience with the GIC arrangement.

Don't do GIC. Your brother should pay for your tution fee. If possible 75% of the entire fee, and with the balance in your account, you're good to go.

What's required is the MyBankStatement certificate. Don't submit the regular statement if you're able to provide the certificate.

Morning guys. Please is there anyone who submitted in February still awaiting a decision? My agent advised to hold off on the medicals. Could this be the reason why, for almost 5 months, not a peep from the VO? Anyone?

The bolded says a lot about your agent. You are not in good hands. However, medicals is not the reason your application hasn't been finalized since you haven't gotten a request. IRCC officers are just negligent. I hope you have access to your account.

Use a third party somebody with the possibility of just 5 years ban if a chargeback occurs.

Actually the bank will pay in USD but deduct the naira equivalent from my account (please correct me if I'm wrong). I believe I've come accross persons who have paid with their naira account, I think the only problem with this method is that it takes longer but since I'm not in a hurry I wasn't bothered but its this deadline email that is making me confused.
I guess I'll just do another one and take to the bank on Monday.

Actually you don't need to print another 1. Flywire and western union also have a 3-day deadline for their invoices too. The validity is referring to the exchange rate. The payment is still going to be received. Someone was having the same concern not too long ago. Payment was initiated after validity period of the invoice. Even if your bank reaches out to you concerning the validity, insist they proceed with the payment.

Run me through how you paid.

Flywire has a higher exchange rate compared to form A.

Did you pay into a WEMA bank account generated?

Flywire has an option called international transfer or something like that. That's where the payment instruction for using form a is.

Really Are you sure
Just the letter, no further evidential prove or of any kind?

For the personal (sponsors) account now, is 10M naira okay in sponsors account?, having provided for 10kcad and first semester tuition fee separately

And yeah, the fund is sufficient.

You can also include pictures of establishment and receipt. Both those 2 I mentioned should be at the top. You submitting a new CAC document is not advisable.

Career progression is not only when you have a bsc and going for master, to me is when you're acquiring new skills to develop yourself either educational or career wisely. I have seen a PhD that pursued bsc in another field and on case what you're is in line to your field. It just depend on how you can structure your SOP to convince the VO!
My view!

I have emphasized on the importance of progression severally on this thread. An application attribute that has a low approval rating should not be encouraged. You know 1 person that got approval in a situation doesn't negate the fact that over 90 people would be denied in similar situation. It doesn't matter how convincing an SOP is, one can be denied solely on ground that there's no progression.
They see us as immigrants seeking better life and not genuine international students. They are not wrong. So one needs to try to eliminate every possible red flag and hope for the best.

Hello everyone!

For one's sponsor (parent) whom is into palm oil, poultry farming, piggery and cocoa farming business but no CAC documents because none is registered.(just normal buying and selling...)

Is it advisable to just register it now while preparing to submit my application in sept for Jan 2022 intake?(I don't know if the date of reg. might be somehow to the VO)

Or can we just provide receipt of selling to customers, for prove of the business(es).
These businesses are just to show source of funds from my sponsor while studying.

Is many receipts of different years/month/season prove my sponsor is into these businesses?

Thanks!
A statement of account and sponsorship letter stating what they do is sufficient.

Thank you so much. I understand a lot of things now. So, my checklist says request for medicals. Am I to wait for them to issue to tell me to go for the medical or do I go on my own to Lagos/Abuja?
That is, after filling the medical form.

Also, do I check for updates by logging into my account in the IRCC website regularly? Or emails will be sent to me (Haven't received any yet)?

Also, what happens if my study permit/visa is issued after school is in session, can I still go?
Have you applied already?

For medicals, visit the link below to book appointment in Lagos or Abuja

https://mymedical.iom.int/apps/omas/#_frmHome

You will get notification email for important updates.

Lastly you will defer your admission. IRCC will request for an updated letter of acceptance if they intend to approve your application. You can also upload a new letter via webform without waiting for their request.

Must one also make withdrawals? Or just regular deposits are fine? Does turnover matter?
Regular deposit are fine. There's no rule about withdrawal but a VO might have concern if funds are not held for long periods or regular low balances.

I just registered an account on the IRCC website. I selected the option that I haven't done medicals by an approved physician. I have some documents to upload. Do I just do the medicals in an approved hospital, or will I receive notification from them?

How do I upload my printed documents. Should I take pictures of them and upload?

What document should suffice for proof of funds? Bank statements? Aren't those rather long and too tedious to be uploaded? Any ideas?

CC Thaiy ekulu77 Mofolam Shupy and any others.

* You can can do upfront medicals at any point in time

* Use a mobile app scanner to snap image.
* Proof of funds include
i. MyBankStatement Certificate.
ii. Sponsorship letter
iii. Business/Company documents
iv. Any other documents that shows sponsor is well established
NB. All must be combined as one pdf file. Same goes for other upload section.

Hi guys.

For those who succeeded in paying their school fees, what bank did you use?

How fast was it? I want to make school fees payment.

Thank you. I anticipate your kind response.
Processing time depends on many factors, sometimes beyond the bank's control. However, I will suggest sterling, stanbic and last option UBA. The first 2 options are among the fastest. Within 1-2 weeks.

Thank you very much for your response to my question yesterday. I am very grateful, and I appreciate the kind effort.

The consent letter has been written (still need someone to review though), and I have started on the Statement of Purpose.

I want to know if it's too late to apply for a study permit. What's my chance of receiving a positive response before September? Also, the tuition is quite expensive (UofA), so the school has let us pay 50 percent now and the remaining by January. Should I reflect that in my application and do I also need a cover note from the university for that?

Thank you.
It is not too late to apply. IRCC can be unpredictable; besides, you can defer admission during the processing of your application. You do not need a letter from your school regarding payment of tution fee. Just make a reference to the amount that has been paid in your SOP. Ordinarily payment of tution fee is not an essential requirement for application approval; however, it's good part payment has been made. All in all, reach out to @justmellow for a professional touch to your SOP and your application in it entirety. I am rooting for you. All the best.
