[Am honestly not happy about this.
How can I download the family Information form. I have been trying to do so but it's not working. I am trying to tell her that this is misrepresentation and can cause me issues but she is claiming she is right

Right about what? Was she the one that filled your other forms? Please go through the forms filled on your behalf. If for any reason you're able to get away with this, the implication might take effect in future. You don't actually have to download. The one already downloaded and filled, can be edited. If you need a download link, just create a study permit application with your account. Download form and delete application.

Hello Everyone
I just got knowledge of this platform and the information I have gotten here is invaluable. I would definitely have done my visa application myself if I knew of this platform.
I applied for my study permit on May 5th 2021 using an agent. She applied for visa for two people I know of and they are currently in Canada so I was at peace.
Having browsed through this platform, I found out about Family Information form and having to fill out the section of your brothers and sisters. Through out filling my Visa application, she never asked me for my siblings name, date of birth so I got worried. But she did ask for details of my parents ie their name, dob and occupation. I called her today and she said that she didn't fill out anything on siblings. That it's not necessary.
I am actually worried now. What's the implication of this?. In my letter of explanation, under my hometies section, I listed all my siblings and their names to show proof of home ties.
Please advice me on what to do now.
Thank you
Your agent is negligent. Download and fill a new form. Submit via webform. Let them know you discovered an error with the one you initially uploaded.

Hello Shupy,

It is a template already created in which the officers are mandated to follow and/or edit to enter their concerns.

I have seen the notes of a Nairalander who got approval but her 2 months (within this age range not vivid) baby was refused for personal assets and financial status.

The concerned person should either seek a JR or reapply. When addressing the concern, PA should constructively argue on the officer's concern ground.

Importantly, if a minor gets refused for home ties and financial grounds, it is coming from the sponsor and not the minor. A sponsor can also be a contributing factor to an applicant's denial.

One love bro!
Thank you.

I reviewed the application. It was package terribly. From SOP to the proof of fund.

Please guys be careful when employing the service of an agent. They are not even needed but I do understand some people can find the entire process overwhelming. An agent should only be providing you guidance, review documents, provide tips and suggestions. You can do every other thing yourself. Nairaland is here for everyone and if you want a personal service, there are about 2-3 professionals here.

Don't let any agent handle your entire application. Create your account yourself.

Study plan is an aspect of an SOP. People just tend to use the term interchangeably. You seem to be placing too much emphasis on your family. And no, there's separate letter for anything. Every explanation regarding your home ties must be included in your sop. Family members birth certificate is not necessary. Your mother working somewhere is not an home tie. Your home ties are incentives for you to return home after your studies. If you're going for an agricultural program, your parents poultry and farm are incentives for you to return home. Even the explanation you give regarding career path can be used as an home tie. You must make the most out of every circumstance.
@TheDarkGamer #BoldSection I meant there's no separate letter for anything. All must be included in your SOP. Like I stated before, the program you've chosen makes it a bit complex. Ensure it's reviewed by a professional.

I was beginning to lose hope that I would be answered. Thanks for your response.

I am doing a Biology major and I am a minor, is it still compulsory to have an sop? How can I input/suggest evidence of my home ties into my sop, if needed?

I'm 16.
Except you have a passport from a developed country, you must write an SOP. The career prospect of the course you're going for is not a promising one in Nigeria but like I said, you must make the most out of every circumstance. You mentioned your mum being a lecturer or something like. Focus on your long term plan and goal in your SOP. For example "...I want to be a researcher on neglected tropical diseases ravaging some parts of Nigeria". You see how I have inputted an incentive to return home. Your parents can include their landed properties and talk about their establishments in their sponsorship letter. You just focus on how this course is going to be useful on your return to Nigeria in the future to address home ties.

Are you doing this on your own? You need proper guidance especially with your SOP. I can't make that commitment. I'm stressed. You might need to seek professional service of justmellow or Frank. All the best.

Aside from the consent letter, how do I convince the visa officer of my home ties? What should I include, to serve as strong home ties?

What I have now are:

Family pictures, landed properties, family members' birth certificates, mother has a government job in the university, parents poultry and fish farm (lol, I don't know if that's helpful), mother's supermarket, etc. Should all this be written in a separate letter?

What more can help to strengthen it?

Is Study plan the same as statement of purpose?

Thank you.

Thanks. I understand. But is there any acceptable limit to what the final balance of the SOA should be, considering my account is well run daily?
If you've paid your entire 1 year tution fee, anything above 13k cad is sufficient. If you haven't paid, just sum it with the 13k cad.

How will they know it is a borrow fund if it sits in the account for sometime?
As long as it's a lump sum deposit, there will always be concern about your genuine access to the fund. You either have to make the deposit smartly or address the possible concern regarding the lump sum.

First of all. You made the right decision by going for a 1 year program since your budget is tight. All you need is to show is your tuition fee total + 13k cad. Don't just go borrow money and deposit o. It's a red flag. And don't hide your relationship status. She might be able to join you sometime in the future. All the best.

4. Lastly, let's be considerate to other people about how we boast after getting PPR. Trust me, the things you boast about: perfect SOP, Prayers, Documents etc, there are people who did all that and more and still got refused.
Congratulations. Your perseverance is very inspiring. I sincerely hope your family will be able to join you. You raised a solid point.

After the first refusal in 2019, we did our best to package the whole thing.

In the LOE and Letter of Sponsorship, I broke down my statement of account (sponsor) and also attached receipts of my business.
Turnover and balance on accounts were huge figures. Also in the LOE, we explained how the lump sump I sent to her would be used to effect payment of the remaining tuition and living cost. She also added her bank statement, letter of employment from a reputable company and ties to some social and NGOs in Nigeria.

I as the sponsor also listed and attached evidence of some of my Landed properties and assets; explained carefully how this payment will not in anyway affect me since I am single and have no kids.

Personal account of sponsor with balance in the eight figure range.
Business account of sponsor with balance in the nine figure range.

Even with the gift of deed of a lump sum, the Canadian commission still deemed it fit to reject the application with the generic reason;

" I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status"

Experts in the house, what options/ways can a young lady of 24 years old use to prove home times to Nigeria?

Have you ordered GCMS note? You can't get proper suggestions without it.

Anyone know where second stream (first dose) are being administered in Lagos Island/VI/Ikoyi axis? My spouse has checked at Sura and Onikan PHC but they said in two weeks time. I suspect something is off. One will get there in two weeks and they will say it has finished again. Any confirmation of where first dose vacinnation in ongoing in this area or even mainland?

I can confirm that the main vaccination hub in Lagos is currently vaccinating for first and second dose. The place is very close to the military hospital at yaba.

The real problem is that vaccination centers have been instructed to only vaccinate second dose takers. You're not likely to be attended to if you're going for the first dose.

Hello Medical Experts in the House.

It's a wonderful news that the 3 days mandatory hotel quarantine and that of the 14days is about to be lifted. This is a welcoming development, however, is it possible to get the two shot of the vaccine before the resumption of the fall session in August and September?

It's very sure most applicants are not fully vaccinated. So what's the way forward?

Lastly, I pray this week favours us all. We are still expecting ppr most march applicants.

It is well !!!!!

Hello guys.
Will I still be able to get NSE request if the closing amount of the SOA is 20million but during the six months there was a time the amount in the account was 5million then 10million and 30,000?
I heard the minimum of 10million must have been constant and not less even though the amount in the account presently is 20million naira.

Please I need a response
NSE simply requires you to submit MyBankStatement certificate and IELTS. You don't necessarily have to wait for request. To the bolded, that's not a requirement, but VO might have concern about very low balances, sudden and unexplained lump sum. It's important you address the source of the fund and make at least a semester payment.

Hi guys, I have been seeing a lot of people ask about eligibility review, please is this the last process to a visa decision? And how long does it take from eligibility review till visa decision?… I will be grateful if I could be educated on this. Thank you guys.
The eligibility status in an applicant's account is not a reliable indicator of application stage. It's regarded as the most important/final stage in the process. Sometimes it begins within a few days after submission, finalized months after and vice versa. In some cases, the eligibility status doesn't even change.
