God will save the christians first; then if there is still space in heaven, he will welcome us agnostics...the muslims will just take a class in humanity, then given a room in heaven. Hindus stand a better chance, but I'm sure there's no space for y'all!

Misogynist2014:
The New Testament was written in Greek, even Muhammad in his apparent contradiction of the suras, called the New Testament 'injil' i.e. Good News. I consider the Qur'an as also a confirmation of the Holy Bible.
Your response in no way deals with the point I raised. Joseph is a jewish name, why didn't the Greeks substitute it? All the 12 disciples names were all jewish, same as the apostles and others. Why did the Greeks decide to change your messiah's name to one of theirs?

Your last statement is a direct contradiction to your believe. Is the quoran now a standard for confirmation of truth? Can we then go ahead and say that all that is contained in the quoran is the truth, nothing but the truth? Because it will not be right to pick passages from the quoran that supports your claim and throw out the rest.

Please if you're going to quote me, tackle the issues I raised and not raising more issues as we'll end up going around in circles.

Misogynist2014:
Joshua of Nazareth, whom the Greeks call Jesus, isn't it?
My question remains: Why and how did the Greek version encapsulate the original name? If the Greeks decide to substitute the original name with one of their idol gods called 'Jesus', then you are apparently giving credence to the little Greek god rather than the original messiah you intend to.

Same with the generally accepted picture of your messiah which is actually a pix of someone else.

Same with the Greeks pagan celebration days which has now become traditional christian celebration days too.

How convenient!

Misogynist2014:
I don't need an evidence. The Holy Bible is enough evidence to me. Any research that does not concur with this Book is declared invalid, but I thank my God no meaningful evidence exists.
Exactly my problem with you folks: let me ask you one question; have you ever wondered how the name 'Jesus' came to be? Of course its not a hebrew nor jewish name. Even in the translated English version of the bible, most hebrew and jewish names were retained; why the chanhge from 'Yeshua' to Jesus?

A little research won't hurt you.
Christianity Etc › Re: 14 Evidences For The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ by simplex2: 6:48am On Apr 05, 2015
All your 'Evidences' are verses from the bible! How convenient. So if I'm to provide evidences that Spiderman is real, all I have to do is gather 14 comic books on spiderman and that's it!

Evidence that Jesus lived and died for your sin: Bible.

Evidence that Spiderman is real: Comic book!
Christianity Etc › Re: The Christ Embassy Church Is A Cult by simplex2: 6:23am On Apr 05, 2015
If your post is anything to go by; then mostly all christians are cultist and churches cults.
For catholics, it is the pope and their doctrine.
For Winners it is their daddy, the keeper of the key to gates of hell.
Have you heard of the Lords chosen and their 'God of chosen'?

What you call sin is a human nature and not peculiar to any church. That a member of CE screwed a chorister doesn't mean its a norm in CE; other church members do same and even more.

Not that I buy any of you people's religious hypocrisy anyway; you all are same! Bunch'a hypocrites!

You don't have it bad here in Nigeria; you're actually earning a decent wage and with time and more job experience, can actually move to another job that pays better.

Ubenedictus:
I actually believe God "got the revelation" of adams disobedience, he simply decided to let it be and instead bring forth good out of the mess.
Really? And he acted surprised when Adam informed him he was na'ked? Must be a good hollywood actor then.

Fastforward few hrs later, why not just scrap Adam and Eve and start creation of man anew? Wasn't that the idea behind wiping out the entire generation of Noah? Sodom? Wouldn't it have been better killing just Adam and Eve (2 people) than killing off all Noah's generation?

Right from the time of Adam, man has never-ever kept God's law; not Adam, not Noah, not Sodom, none!
Can't God take a clue that the ways of man is different - totally different from his ways and at such let man be?
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Can Possibly Explain The Concept Of Jesus Dying For Our Sins Logically? by simplex2: 6:51am On Apr 04, 2015
And what has changed after the supposed death?

Sin still abound, death still abound!

The bible said sin entered the earth through 1 man (Adam) and that life entered through another (Jesus). So why are people still dying? Why are people still believed to go to hell if they die in sin? If Jesus had not died, (according to your bible), sinners will still go to hell and righteous people still go to heaven: so what difference did the death make?

Christianity Etc › Re: Home Of Atheists, Freethinkers, Agnostics. by simplex2: 12:36pm On Apr 02, 2015
Okk, testimony time!

Our dispatch rider at office had an accident with his dispatch bike. He tore his face, elbow and heels and was stitched up.
The irony was that no one in the office had empathy on him. You know why? The guy had this 'ugly' habit of turning every conversation to 'God of chosen' talk. During the weekly safety meetings, after all discussions, he will take the stage and tell us all that all safety discussion are useless unless we have 'God of chosen'. That the 'God of chosen' is the only one that guarantees safety and with HIM, nothing will happen to anyone.

Yesterday, he met me at the staff canteen during break and started complaining bitterly that none of us called him to console him or ask how he was faring since after the accident. Well, I didn't know why no one had called him; he wasn't my buddy at work so I don't know why he was expecting me to call him so I didn't feel guilty at all.

I gave him an ear because I sensed he needed a listening ear. He talked for long, how the accident was the work of the devil, how 'God of chosen' saved him; how he rolled on the floor and was close to falling over the bridge into a swamp when 'God of chosen' held him and dragged him back...bla bla...bla...

I asked him why the 'God of chosen' didn't prevent the accident from happening in the first place. This is the second time this guy is crashing our dispatch byke and management is already considering terminating his job.
Then he gave me the most irritating answer I've ever had; that God had to allow it happen so that He will save him so that he will testify to the church about how God saved him.

You need to see the excitement on this dude's face as he said the above trash.
I wish he was educated so I can talk sense into him. It was even difficult having a 15 minute conversation with him without getting pissed.

At the end of the conversation, I realized the kind of brainwashing and negative indoctrination that has taken over this man's mind! Same way religion has corroded most people's sense of reasoning. How can someone be excited that he had an accident and God saved him! Damn! Even we humans know that prevention is better than cure. Then thinking about being used as a pawn by a God so that I will testify of his miracles!!!

Ridiculous.

Alfa dear, the genetic disease is a purging; a way to cleanse you from an evil that you did/was done to you in your former life.
Its a debt you are paying in this your present life-cycle.
Your next life cycle will be smooth and pleasurable to you and your soul. It may be your last before you reach a point of soul-fulfillment.

Now that's just the monk talking.

You wave aside all believes as long as it is not contained in your bible: you actually think/believe the bible is the right standard for measurement? Breaking news pal; your bible has the most heinous and preposterous tales of all times viz a vis talking snake and donkey, day and night existing before the sun, the moon being a source of light, 6-day creation, invisible-omnipotent-omniscient-omnipresent being watching over everything!

Trust me, these are more unbelievable tales than the theorem of reincarnation which I personally find plausible being an agnostic that is open to learning new things.

You need to remove the lies in your bible before seeking for others you will term gullible because you are the gullible one here.

Keep probing dear, you'll get there someday.

Meanwhile, while you're at it, have you wondered why just a sin of disobedience changed the entire supposed plan of god for man?

Ubenedictus:
i belive every Christian will agree that he came to reconcile us to God. the 50million question is how?
Yes, how? How did the death make god forget the grievous sin of disobedience and now got reconciled with man? How is there even a reconcillation because things has remained the way it was till after the cruxification: the supposed relationship between god and man (adam) hasn't been the way it was before the almighty sin of disobedience; death is still ravaging everywhere, sickness, informities...exactly as they were before Jesus came and died: so what exactly was the over-hyped death for?

And to think that the death would have been avoided if the omniscient god got the revelation that adam will actually eat the fruit; if the omni-potent god planted the tree on top of mount everest where it would be inaccessible to adam: if the omnipresent god rebukked the serpent when he was trying to deceive eve as he is ever present everywhere, everytime...

A lot of things dont add up abeg!

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Which Multinational Companies Can I Drop My CV At VI...? by simplex2:
No 'multinational' will accept your cv when they are not recruiting: and recruitment is mostly first thru online.

Try the domestic companies first.

Also, use vconnect to get info of some companies, open their website, click on contact us and copy out the email address. Send your application and cv to as many as you can get in a day. Remember to turn off your 'sent from my BB' signature when sending the mails and don't spam the mails. Just one at a time (unless you know how to use bcc ,blind-carbon-copy. very well).

When you get to VI, pick one road and scout; you can try kofo Abayomi today (and all the attached streets, closes and inns around it), tomorrow you try Adeola Odeku, next you hit Awolowo etc.

After that, try ikoyi; if you can make your way into Dolphin estate, osborne estate and parkview. They dont normally allow people without estate id card to come in but if you come early enough when staff of companies are going in, you may be lucky. Or find someone to build a rapport that will help you get in.

I did all these sometime back, and till today, I still get invited for interviews even when I've got something doing. If you don't have a job, your only job is to get a job!
