Liekiller:Does she have the capacity to think outside the box? YES! Will she be willing to go that road? That, I cannot say! You know how offensive religion makes one be. When you present hard facts, you will be taken as a lost soul who doesn't even deserve a listening ear. I will cite an example. I gave her money for something relating to school last month and she used a tenth of it to pay tithe and sowed some seed with a part of the remaining. The money was no longer complete and she didn't have the nerve to tell me. It was money meant for her off-camp accommodation. When the landlord/caretaker's pressure became unbearable, she told me about it. I was so shocked/mad about it. I confronted her and we had this bitter argument over the phone. I was trying to make her see that her student/pastor was feasting off the students but she was understanding it that I was angry that she paid tithe and sowed seed because I was the one that gave her the money. I was so pained! Here was I working my a'rse off to make ends meet and someone else is at the alter, making some gibberish proclamations and hoodwink naïve people to drop cash for him. This is just a case among many! Its just becoming a little unbearable. The worst is that the 'offensive' religious attitude comes in play and negates any form of reasoning that would have taken place. Apart from the love we have for each other, I don't think I will like to see myself having these sort of issues over-time. Trust me, even love itself has a breaking point. |
Liekiller:Yes, I know I should speak with her first; infact, that was the major reason I backed out of the supposed intro last year. I'm just not certain of the outcome. I can't risk losing her for something as false and irrelevant as religion. I just wish she sees things the way I do. I've tried to discuss it indirectly with her but the direction the discussion takes makes me to withdraw. I don't rob it in people's face that I'm agnostic; I don't even dabble into religious arguments offline. I let people hug whatever rocks their boat. I just wish there's a way I'd make her understand the fraud in religion without making it look like the only option for her if we'd spend the rest of our lives together. |
johnydon22:Exactly! The case of virgin birth is very obvious. The older religions always adopts a virgin birth to their leader; so he'll be depicted as half-man, half-god. A simply google search will show that most religions that existed b4 christianity assigned a virgin-birth status to their god. Christianity just copied, transcribed and made theirs more popular. |
cupid1:I read all those gospels. I read the gospel of mary magdalene, that of thomas and that of judas is'cariot. I read about the early christians and the crusaders. Xtians seem to be satisfied with the little that was given to them. Those men at Nice made a thoroughly selection and inserted phrases like 'don't add or remove', 'everything written in the scriptures is approved of god' bla bla bla! Christians even consider it blasphemous to seek for knowledge outside the man-made bible. As long as they are concerned, that book is the 'beginning and the end' and they actually feel it was thrown down from heaven! |
Wow! Nice thread. There are loads of issues we can discuss in-house. Was thinking of starting a thread about certain things but decided against it; since the obvious religious felas will invade it with their fanaticism. nana228:This is the first issue bugging me: My girlfrnd. We've dated for yrs now and we're planning on getting married next year. But one thing has always lingered in my mind: religion! I'm agnostic but she is a devout christian. We started dating long time ago when I was still a christian; but after my mum's death, I realized all the promise of ask and it shall be given were false. That was the spark to my quest for answers: and I discovered I've been lied to ALL MY FVCKING LIFE! I was supposed to see her parents this xmas but I developed cold feet and called it off. I'm yet to tell her I've left religion; she's yet to understand why I backed-off. Don't get me wrong, we love each other like mad! This is our 4th year dating. I do love her but the issue of spending the rest of your life with someone of contrasting believe scares the shit out of me; what happens to the children? What if she believes she can rope me in and then turns to a nag thereafter? I know I should tell her, but I'm still scared of loosing her. I wouldn't want her dumping her religion because of me so its kind of complicated. What do you guys think? |
The jews concocted a story about how life started from their race and how they are the fathers of all nation and you lot believe them? Smh! Try and calculate the distance from garden of eden (present day middle east) and Australia you will understand that no level of migration will make man move from middle east to australia within 2,000 yrs. And the Noah flood? Another bull crap! Talking snakes and donkeys? Bull crap! The more you understand that these things were concocted for a supremacy purpose, the better for you. The bible you adore, reverence and defend with all your life was assembled at the council of Nice by mere mortals like you and I. They threw away some books they felt wouldn't suit their purpose and accepted the ones they wanted. |
Told u guys, red apple is wonderful for the health. ![]() |
iykofias:Don't mind him, use the ctr + alt + del method I told you about. |
yorex2011:Na so ee dey be when ur village people remember you. That's why I laugh at people boasting that they never lose a bet. |
larryozomah:Yea, handicap is great. Your game @bold is kind'a risky: why not play straight 1? Still good odds; no need to push it. |
opsydudu:Better use that money buy sharwama. |
suxxman: tolam4skywd: ddooskie:Why are you guys laughing like hyena? You all know this secret and you refused to share it with others. I shared it to help him out and you're laughing! Bunch'a psychos!!! ![]() #hope the dude haven't crashed someone's system shaa!# |
paxonel:Yea, right! Philippians 2.12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Now who's the ignorant one? |
mazizitonene:It was same monsuru that answered you. Just that he/she/it forgot to use the neroflo moniker and unknowingly used the edenhazard. That's how disoriented the dude is. |
tolam4skywd:Don't worry about where they will deduct. Use a public cyber cafe, the money will be deducted from their ISP through data (MB). So it doesn't concern you. Buy 30mins time and you can fund your account with 30k. |
Too many slips flying left-right-and-centre! Make I post my own: Che: 1 Arsenal: +1 Manutd: +1 Big stakes only: ------------------ That's all ------------------ |
^^ person go accumulate one-million games in one slip. Word of advice, stake big in a single game: Chelsea/Burnley: home win @ 1.22, stake #10k and get #2,200. Stop shooting everything that flies: aim at the eagle and save the bullets for other eagles. tolam4skywd:Use a pc; hold ctr + alt + del keys, then type the amount you want, any amount at all. |
edenhazard:Trademark of scam artists! Btw, scientist just discovered that red apples are good for the health. They contain carotine which helps in vision and brain cells development. Unlike the green apples which contains excess liglin which restricts blood flow to the dckk and makes you lousy in bed. Wouldn't you rather have a red apple? ![]() |
neroflo: edenhazard:How many more accounts do u have here? Smh! Monsuru + neroflo + edenhazard (with 'f') Nnah! Na waoh! Multiple identity disorder. |
godoluwa:Was I the one that started the thread with the topic of making 30k daily? |
kkayode247:I thought we'll be making 30k everyday? Its good you're being sincere finally... Kudos though, missed ur games. Please warn other punters to desist from posting games on ur thread, let them start their own thread if they want to. |
Isn't it obvious the jews are messing with y'all? They are the special people, the only ones whose salvation is guaranteed, the best and loved tribe, the 144,000 that doesn't even need to accept christ for them to be saved while y'all are asked to workout your own salvation with fear and trembling? Ignorance is bliss indeed! |
MrPresident1: vooks:Classic! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dude just ran out'a thread. Wouldn't be messing with ya for a long time ![]() |
Paretomaster:No nau, are u dumb? Elaho is the one writing this story: the one on white is his girlfriend. |
Boyebeez:That's just a baseless assumption. Vs 16, cain left the presence of God to dwell in the land of Nod. Vs 17 he knew his wife: its that simple! 16 before 17. You are trying to infer that he was already married even before leaving to dwell in Nod. Then who did he marry? Because as at then, there were only Adam, Eve, cain and abel. You are also trying to say that he was married before he was cursed. Let me ask you, what do you understand by "dwell" that was used in vs 16? Cain went to Nod to 'dwell'. |
In your little research, you didn't read where Cain left to dwell in the LAND OF NOD. Genesis 4.16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. That was the place he took a wife from. People were already existing there. His children also took wives and bore more children in the same city. One of his grandchildren, Lamech even married 2 wives. Was is it still Adam and Eve that was supplying cain and his children the wives they married? Something is seriously wrong with the bible and those that compiled it. If not, people won't be trying this hard to explain the bible. |
Yes you can! Religion endorsed slavery: morality wiped it out of existence. Religion endorsed polygamy: morality is gradually taking it into extinction. |
blesseenE:For the ongoing UAC recruitment which was organized by workforce too, after this first 'do-it-on-ur-own' test, we were contacted for a second online test to be supervised by workforce crew at selected centres across the country. Those who passed that test were invited for a first stage oral interview. We're still waiting for the result of that interview and a date for the second stage. All this process has lasted for almost 9 months now. Hopefully, NB won't last that long. |
Honestly, this should be the worst test I've ever written in my entire career. The workforce guys should come let me set my own test for them for 20min and see how they will fare! Anyway, I take solace in the fact that when there's a general poor performance, the benchmark will likewise be reduced drastically; unless they don't want engineers in that role, then they can employ those that wrote earlier today. Asking others about Mary's apples and mangoes and then asking us core mathematical and statistical questions for the same time duration! Nanzenze!!!! |
unofficial:Huh Weren't they compensated? They compiled the list of those coming from outside Lagos during the general interview and called them in first during the one-on-one interview. I assumed they were compensated with transport money after their own one-on-one.Anyway, they still don't owe anybody anything. |
Na to ram the car for wall be dat nau. Define drunk driving for them with real life demonstration! |
