Thank you smiley I can handle any1 giving me abuse I am use to it! I know what it be like being a single parent I am a strong person and cope well,I can cater for my unborn child has I wouldn't keep if I couldn't aswell has not beleieving in abortions
Well, its good you believe you can carter for your unborn child, but can you carter for the 'born' child when it arrives? Being strong is not the only thing that child needs.

Goodluck though.

You sound sincere: there are so many trolls on the forum so its hard to know who's not telling the truth; and you just registered this handle today, a strong characteristic of trolls.

Anyway, if what you're saying is the truth, then make sure you are ready: financially, emotionally, psychologically to be a single mom. Please don't bring someone into this world that you can't carter for.

Abortion is still a very nice option if the issues of being a single mom is overbearing.

Pour a generous amount of salt inside the gen fuel thank! You've been talking for the guy for over a year now yet no solution: now you want to start talking to health workers? In this damn country?

Kill-off that gen, and the next one and the one after that one. We do it always while we were at school. We don't even confront you, just spoil the damn thing. When you repair your gen everyother day, you will realize that we all have some fundamental human rights which no one should infringe on.

Its because we are all born in the image of Adam that disobeyed. Adam sinned and we inherit his sinful image when we are born in his image. Adam's sin was an act but it is imputed by being born in his image.
Does that even make sense to you? Adam disobeyed, therefore every other man born into this world inherits the sin? I mean, like seriously? Adam was of the image of God, we all are of the image of God, why is one man's sin imputed to everyother man?

The Op asked what Jesus' death achieved! Its a valid question because God could have just allowed man ask for forgiveness from the original sin (he didn't commit) and then all things become okk. But No: someone must die before the loving god forgives any sin.

Since after Jesus died, did it stop man from being born in the same image of Adam like you posited?

You guys just give the God so many wonderful attributes that it becomes harder for you to defend: viz a vis omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient while your biblical stories proves it wrong.

Let me add more to instances timonski gave:

Adam and Eve. If your attribute of God is correct, then he was right there when the serpent was deceiving Eve, he had the power to prevent it but didn't; he just watched. But what was recorded in the bible was that he came down to fellowship with adam as he always does (omnipresent: disproved).

He asked adam where he was then adam replied that he was naked. "Who told you that you are naked, have you eaten of the fruit I asked you not to? (Omniscient disproved).

The anger in which he dished the curses left right and centre shows he neither had the foreknowledge nor predestined anything!

God doesn't meet up the standard you set for him.

Lol...big fat lie! He is not at rest with his conscience that's why the pleading, begging and swearing.

I know this is late but this is what you would have done when he went to watch arsenal game: get urself prepared mentally and emotionally. It was obvious he wasn't going to own up. When you asked him and he said it was his friend, demand that he gives you the friend's phone number right away! Call the so-called friend with your own phone in his presence and ask him. You're not being childish, you are trying to gain your man's trust back and right now with this uncertainty, it will be hard to trust him.
When his friend picks up, calmly introduce yourself. Tell him that you and his friend are having a little argument and that you needed his sincere and honest response.

Then ask him if he came to your friend's house 2 days ago! Don't ask him if he came that day the event happened, drag it back by a day or two. If he said he came, ask him when was the last time he's been to his house and if he came alone.

A girl once did this to me: in her own case, she saw a wrap of half-smoked weed: and of course, just like your fiance said: "it wasn't mine!"

From what I just read in my bible, Gehazi was his servant and not slave.
Loooolll...that's the dumbest defense I've seen for a long time now.

Okk, let me pretend that you are really ignorant of words written in the bible and educate you a bit.

Colossians 3.22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;

Ephesians 6.5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Colossians 3:22 New International Version (NIV)

22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

Servant; slave; same thing: its just in the version of the bible you read.

Lol...seems the only prayer he answers is that of 'forgiveness of sins'. When the dying sick prays and prays and prays, he still ends up dead. When his children gathers for a prayer session, bokoharam bombs them all to death. And yet, he is a loving father, the omni-omni everything!

People find it diffult to pray either because they are not genuinely saved or they ignorant of God's word which could be the fault of their shepherds. Until people become more spiritually marture will they not find the presence of God boring. There is nothing as beautiful as talking to God through prayers or His word and you hearing Him speak to you by that beautiful still small voice.
Yea, its always the fault of the people that are tired of praying to a God that doesn't answer or talk back. When prayers aren't answered, its always the fault of the person saying the prayers: either he doesn't have faith, or its not the will of God, irrespective of the fact that it won't take God anything to heal or save the person saying the prayer.

@bolded, never ever was it recorded in the bible that God had a still small voice! You guys just make it up so there will be a risen why he wasn't heard.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is It So Hard To Talk To God But So Easy To Chat? by simplex2: 11:30pm On Feb 22, 2015
Maybe because God has refused to talk back. When you chat with someone that ignores you 95% of the time, the next thing to do is to stop talking and better still, delete the contact.

Religion is the biggest fraud perpetuated by MAN! You are in the right path of self-discovery. They will tell you not to ask any questions; to believe, just believe, have faith..bla..bla..bla! Then they start threatening you with blasphemy when you ask questions. Then they threaten you with hell fire!

The answers you seek are not in any religious thread. The truth shall set you free!

Oyedepo is unkillable. He is a covenant child of God so early death is impossible except God choses to call him. And when his time comes, it wont be via plane crash or via any accident. If he has to go, it will be a peaceful death. He will just go to his room, lie down and sleep. Dats how prophets die, and not by plane crash.

Let me mark register.

I'm an atheist to everyone I know except my parents. U've tried telling them so many times but I know it ll probably kill them to hear their son say "There z not God"

Nah, I will keep it to myself.
Its best that way for your sanity and peace of mind. I don't engage in arguments with them religious felas; unless when they tend to disturb my peace. Was in a bus for a short journey sometime ago when a preacher, as usual, decide to disturb the entire bus with condemnation and damnation of whoever won't believe in his preaching. Then he started yabbing about how unpeaceful other religions are and how they are known for causing wars, terrorism and unrest and how only in christianity that there is absolute peace that passes all understanding. He was seating close to me so I just asked him in a calm voice: 'Isn't that the same things christians did in times past?' He tried to feign ignorance (maybe he didn't really know) but I reminded them that god did command his people to wipe out the amalekites, caninites and any pegan and unbeliever that crosses their path, same thing allah told the muslims so how is it peaceful in his own religion.

His mistake was to think he would intimidate me with a louder voice but I persisted. Reminded him that all the first born of egypt was murdered by his peaceful god just to make a point. Reminded him that jericho was utterly destroyed because they refused to open their gates and allow the isrealites to pass thru. Backing up the little conversation with bible verses murdered whatever defense he was going to put up. He pulled up crap about old and new testament but I reminded him that right inside the bus, he had mentioned that god is the same yesterday, today and forever so why is he adjusting the nature of god to suit his purpose.

Now I was able to engage into this argument by taking the stance of a muslim and being Lagos where there's mixed religious population, some peeps inside the bus (who are obviously muslims) concurred and supported me. Now imagine if I had taken a stance that there was no god? I will of course be getting disdains from both muslims and christians alike inside the bus.

I don't argue with them felas as long as they let me be. I prefer discussing 'issues' with them rather than discussing god with them (maybe because of my agnostic nature). Like the issue of tithing my colleagues at work were arguing with me: when I opened Deutronomy 14 and showed them where it is allowed to eat your tithe and even buy beer with it and drink.
But its obvious nothing you say will free them from their bliss.

If you're going to remain agnostic for a long time, it is better you tell her about your agnosticism now. Whether you tell her or not, she will find out eventually. She needs to know about something like this before she goes ahead with marrying you. The sooner you tell her, the more time she'll have to consider your position, and maybe endorse it.

Why does it matter what her reason for dumping religion is, assuming she does that?
Telling her is not an option, rather, I'll make her find out. It will require time and many life examples to drive it in. I don't know how she'll take it if I just throw it at her. I know we need to be in the same frequency if we're going to commit but my greatest fear remains how she'll take it!

@bolded, there's no question about if I'm going to remain agnostic. Religion is simply deceptive!

Yep, it sure does, and after this post i have a feeling your mind is actually made up. If you know already that this is not how you want to live and you don't see any convincing development after some serious talk, i would advise you to move on and find someone who thinks like you. Everything else would most likely only lead to constant arguing and frustration on both sides.
My mind isn't made up. It worries me day and night. I make sacrifices to put things in shape: whenever she's around, we go to church together. Moving on won't be ideal for me; what happens when I move on and fall in love with another christian? I move on again? And again? I'm agnostic and not an atheist, at such, frivolous things as religion and existence/non-existence of god doesn't border me for once.

I want to spend the rest of my life together and can even accommodate her religious excesses (as long as it doesn't affect my finances and future children) but will she be willing to do same? My greatest fear!
