Kagawa10:
PDP and propaganda are inseparable.

Nigeria situation could be likened to a market woman who sells 20 number of corns at a rate of 110 naira per each daily. Years later, the market leaders eventually reduced and controlled the price at 50 naira. The market woman is still expected to sell same 20 number of corns but nothing higher than this. Tell me if the woman's income would increase or decrease? However, if the woman had saved enough when the corn was still priced at 110 naira, she wouldn't be affected by the fall in sales price, pending the time sale price would increase once again.

That's the situation of Nigeria today. When crude oil which is our main source of foreign revenue was selling at $110 per barrel for more than 5 years under Jonathan, Jonathan didn't save but looted us dry instead. We're suffering from this effect today now that crude oil has been selling at a poverty rate of $50 per barrel for the past 4 years under Buhari yet Buhari administration has had so many projects undertaken by him despite earning 60% less.

If only people knew what other oil countries such as Angola and Venezuela are passing through during this global crude oil price recess, they would thank God Buhari came in rather than Jonathan who looted us dry despite oil boom when crude oil was selling at $110 per barrel for five years unlike the paltry $50 it has been selling under APC. If the looting Jonathan couldn't save during the time of plenty and was already borrowing, how would he have carried on during this crude oil price recess?

Despite Buhari administration earning 60% less yet he's come up with plenty projects such as

Our railways at itakpewarri, Lagos-ibadan, Lagos-Abeokuta, kaduna-abuja etc,

The production of low cost fertilizers,

Zik maoseleum

Baro inland port,

Kaduna inland dry port,

Port Harcourt airline terminal,

Abuja airline terminal,

Rice mills,

Foreign reserve increase from $26b to $43b,

Construction of our express highways such as enuguonitsha, Lagos-ibadan etc.

Social policy schemes such as tradermoni, npower etc

Payment of all pensions of airline staffs that were forced to retire after the shambolic privatisation by Atiku. PDP didn't pay them in the last 16 years.

And most especially, stabilizing us through this recession which happened because jonathan failed to save despite earning 60% more than Buhari. Note that there's been a global fall in the price of crude oil from $110 per barrel in 5 years under Jonathan to a paltry $50 per barrel under Buhari administration yet Buhari was able to keep us afloat while having many projects to his name thereby surprising Ngozi Iweala and Charles Soludo who predicted recession because jonathan looted and failed to save during the time of plentiful.

Sai Baba. PDP, Neva again

Elections are coming. And there's no need to fear. Why? Because the will of Nigerians will not be subverted. Never! A President once told us in this country that the coming polls would be do or die.
Not with President Buhari. Fair is fair. No foul play.
Under his watch, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa and Anambra states.
At the last Council of States meeting, Gov Willie Obiano publicly registered his appreciation to President Buhari, for the level playing ground he made available during the election in his state. With do or die apostles, and a certain political party in power, such would never happen. Not with their garrison mentality. All states are territories that must be conquered, willy-nilly.
APC has won gubernatorial positions under Buhari in Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti and Edo states. The victories were fair and square. The party lost in Bayelsa and Anambra.
This President would never manipulate victory for anyone, not even his own party. And you ask me not to trust him? I will, and no mistake, and all sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians are for Sai Baba.
To the NEXT LEVEL we all go
Shut up you bigot.... I sincerely doubt your citizenship because no patriotic citizen supports Buhari

Politics / Re: 2019 Election -predictive Analysis by sirjoe1124(m): 12:34pm On Feb 04, 2019

mandarin:
I [s]created this thread in March 2015, see the link and several responses here:

https://www.nairaland.com/2203244/data-analysis-election...my-objective-take

Some people argued that I was myopic and all sort of stuffs. Fast forward to 2019 lets look at what we have on our hands in two weeks time.

The distribution of registered voters across states has been released by INEC but I was a little bothered the corresponding number of PVCs collected should have been shown as well. I however want to gauge the perception of Nigerians and look at how the two front runners stand in two weeks time i.e. PMB and ATIKU across the political zones and FCT.

Key Factors
1. The Performance of the APC: The APC has struggled with the economy and that remains the grey areas in the party's performance. Increase in petrol fuel price from 97 to 145 naira, lost of jobs in the financial system and very low price of crude oil commodity market plus negative image of a corrupt system led to lost of growth and brought in recession not forgetting the exchange rate.
2. The followers of both candidates and their running mates
3. Religion and ethnicity: These will play major roles in two weeks time and will be seriously influential
4. Voters turn out where and by what number
5. Party structure on the ground

NORTHWEST

Here, ethnicity and religion will play key roles. PDP has some big wigs in Sokoto, Jigawa and Kano but apart from Sokoto, governors from these states are of the APC. PMB enjoys cult personality in this zone and he stands to take at least 70% of whatever votes is cast. Talking about the economy do not win votes here as the army of voters are largely less concerned about such. Atiku will do well in Southern Kaduna and get some good votes in Jigawa.Turnout here will exceed 60%

NORTHEAST

The same pattern will follow north west except for Adamawa where I expect Atiku to win by 55-45 but I expect the turn out to be huge in this part of the country above 50%. BUHARI will win this zone by like 65% to 35%.

MIDDLE BELT & FCT

The FCT and Nasarawa are too close to call, so i give them 50-50 chance. These two states have armies of people directly affected by the economic performance and also armies of pr Buhari voters. Atiku will most likely win in Benue by over 65%, Plateau by over 52%, Taraba by over 68% while Buhari will win in Kogi, Kwara, and Niger . Turn out where determines who get majority votes here.

SOUTHWEST
PMB will most likely win this region by 60%-40%. Atiku will do fairly in Lagos, I expect him to poll up to 45% of the protest votes on the economy. His biggest win will most likely come from Oyo state while Atiku's performance in Ogun State will be fair say 35%. I expect 52% turn out rates. Etnicity will play a major role as PDP has no clear program for the region except for the post of SGF will is quite hard to sell and permutations on 2023 is key factor here.

SOUTHEAST
This region is locked down for Atiku. =Permutations on 2023 is key factor here as well and Peter Obi will be seen as a factor. Atiku will win this region by at least 80%. Turn out is expected to be at least 45%.

SOUTH-SOUTH

PMB will win in Edo state but Atiku will win in all other states but, it may be a 65%-35% sharing of cast votes with turn out at about 48%. Unlike 2015 when GEJ contested and it was a moral issue for the region to support him, there is apathy based on those contesting and Akwa Ibom is to watch here.

If you look at all these factors, it looks more likely for a PMB second term.
I welcome opinions and other contributions, thank you.

supereagle:

From the wall of Sani Sallau Dauda :
Summary of my experience today at Buhari's
rally in Kaduna
After attending a political rally for the first time in
my life I realised that 70% of those in PMB's rally
are probably not on social media.
They don't want to know whether PMB fell in Lokoja
or not.
They don't want to know if PMB is Queen
Elizabeth's blood cousin or not.
They don't know whether PMB said "Presidential" or
"Senotorial" or "Gubernatorial" candidate.
They dont know whether PMB is old
All they know is that there are seeing construction
of roads
They are seeing rails
They are seeing npower, tradamoni, market moni,
school feeding program etc.
They are seeing him recovering their money looted
by oles.
They are seeing him paying pensioners owed for
decades.
They are seeing him revamping agriculture.
They don't even have Android phones.
I saw the old, young, men and women shouting sai
baba sai buhari, 4+4.
All I see is people sharing water, foods, buying
water with their hard earn money to quench their
thirst while waiting patiently for hours to appreciate
and to catch a glimpse of their hero.
All I see is people who love their President so so
much that they closed their shops and abandoned
their businesses to support their beloved President.
It took the President more than an hour from Kawo
to those who knows Kd to ABS because of the
traffic of people just trying to catch a glimpse of
him.
My advice to those shouting hunger on facebook
and tweeter and vowing to send PMB to Daura
because according to them Nigerians are tired of
PMB have to take things easy so that by the time
PMB is announced the winner of 2019 election, they
won't shout rigging or develop high BP.
Finally, I thank my good people of Kd for not
disappointing us.
God bless Nigerians.
God bless PMB/Osinbajo
God bless Kaduna.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
