Taxation is 40 percent on this type of salary so take home is 60 thousand. Now as a doctor with all the vaccines you have to take that weakens your body with age coupled with the age at which doctors finally are done with studies coupled with ageism in the uk I put it to you that the average working lifespan of a medical doctor is 30 years. So 60 thousand multiplied by 30 is 1.8 million pounds lifetime earning. Now you said it’s possible and you know doctors with 600k houses ? Mortgage with all the interests over 30 years you end up paying three times the house worth so mortgage on a 600k house is 1.8 million you will end up paying. That’s your whole lifetime salary without paying other bills and buying food etc etc . So it’s impossible on a doctors salary to be able to afford these houses you are mentioning. Unless the doctor has a doctor wife but that’s never the case. Almost all doctors have sit at home take care of the babies wife. And so I submit to you that on a medical doctor salary the most you can comfortably do is a 300k house.

UK is going thru economic meltdown at the moment. So things a expensive and hard. But there are still jobs and opportunities.

Pls focus on IT, go for certification in IT courses eg project management. IT is a great economic cushion in this period. Your wife can go into coding since she has computer science background. She can easily earn 400 pounds a day in that field.

Travel to the north of England and see what naija GPs are pulling in per week. 5k per week is regular stuff.

Lagos business owners are subjected to multiple taxations by different revenue agencies. Go to alaba and ask those traders their ordeal with Lagos state govt, U will write a book. Right from apapa exit gate all the way to their shops in Ladipo, it's taxation galore.

You only are exempted from paying tax if you’re making anything less that £12k in a year. And £12k cannot even be enough for the bills you’d pay through the year.

I repeat, we don’t pay tax at all here if you know how the tax system works in the UK.

Ok so you are at a higher tax bracket which is 40 percent so you take home like 2700 a month. It's London so your rent is like say 1000 if say you are single and no family and managing a small one bedroom. So that 1700 left. Council tax is like 150. You left with 1550. Let's say your utilities 300 a month you have 1250. Transport lets say 200. That's 1050. Phone and internet lets say 100. That's 950. Feeding let's say 400. That's 550 left. Clothing and haircut and miscellaneous like eating out and sending to naija etc and buying naija foods let's say like 300 a month. You have 250 left. Young guy you want trip woman to movies or go pub to drink pints of beer etc let's say 200 a month. You have 50 pounds left. Now this is calculation for single man.
