This shows you have no idea what you're talking about. Brazilian football in those days was arguably the best league in the world as players rarely move out of their countries for football and Brazilian league contained the best talents at the time
And yet the Brazilian president had to beg him to keep playing in santos when offer came from europe.

I here you.

.
This is the most stupid nonsensical post I've read today

you think Messi would last a full match in those days when tackling from behind is legal? when something that's regarded to be red card worthy today would be seen as only a free kick at best in those days? when many top players barely earn enough to live a comfortable life to Messi that has personal staff for almost everything asides training, brushing and eating? are you comparing those days when opponents can simply break your leg and get away with it to now that Messi can jump over a Sergio Ramos tackle and still get Ramos sent off?

You're talking a lot of juvenile sheet bro
What was his greatest competition?
Dont tell me its the word cup where fewer teams were playing then.

The dude is great and he help promote the sport in those days when african countries are getting one spot chopping 14-0 in the world cup.
Just so you know, the game is now very difficult compare to those era.
France, Brazil, portugal and other football nations now struggle to play against african opponent they used to annihilate.
Can you imagine nigeria losing to madagascar,? Thats how the game is developed.

And uncle smart, are you saying game in those days are more difficult than we have today? Today when defenders have access to videos clips of their tormentor.

Pele did nothing different from what neymar did in brazil. The only difference why Neymar aint successful is because of the tougher competition and of course his own default.

Did he even play in europe?

Puskas that Messi has never won?? So nomination is what defines greatness.. Lol

Ogbeni what has Messi acheived for him to be termed the greatest player ever over Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Delima or even CR7
All these guys are not as consistent spanning 10+ years and the Goat is still going strong.

Zidane won how many champions league? After his world cup in 1998.
Delima became a fat boy after winning the world best 3 times and remain irrelevant. The goat is stilll going strong.

Maradona is a drug dealer who won the world cup with drug and had a fantastic season with napoli and that was just it.

Cr7 is the greatest competition to the goat and that is obvious.
The goat has been very consistently consistent and still going stronger everyday.

Jokerman:
Ogbeni...

Pele's player of the century award is bigger than 100 ballondors

Pele a three time World Cup winner

Pele 1260 goals to his name
Cancel 500 offside goals which are not part of the rule then and tell me how great he is.

Maradona does not even come close.

So messi is the real GOAT.

That is an interesting observation, Jimoh. But if education is the problem, then is religion still not a culprit? Evidence points to the fact that religion promotes ignorance.

A lot of religious organizations tell people that a human's primary purpose on earth is to multiply. As it is what as particularly instructed to humans by god to do under any circumstances. And anyone who comes to earth without offspring wastes his life.

Islam for one, is a notorious promoter of ignorance. The alma-jiri menace in the north is an example. Boko Haram are against 'western education' as part of their agenda. I have been to a 'was' where the imam was confidently telling the listening followers that university education is not permitted by Allah. And that in fact science is 'haram.'
Just like we have 419 pastors all over the country, they are stupid alfa too. You evidently met the latter.

That being said, islam in the quran and hadith of the prophet mandated humans to seek knowledge. It is an obligation for every muslims to seek knowledge. Google Algebra genesis in mathematics; tha name was coined from a muslim mathematician. Medicine books by muslims called kitab whatever; cant remember the name again contained the modern medicine practices.

Infact, the european came to trade with the Arab, stole their methods and practices and built on that just like what Rome did to the greek during the roman empire voyaged in europe. You can google the incidence that led to pythogas death in the hands of the romans.

That arabic numerals you call numbers is part of the muslims contribution to counting in mathematics.

Using Boko-Haram, an Islamic Group to judge the whole religion is not logical. Its like saying the white garment church which are known to be fetish is used to judge all christians.

We have muslims in the south west too you know and we dont have almajiri on the street and People still holiday and shop in Dubai; a muslim country. Almajiri on the street has nothing to do with religion but your country ecomomic and political mismanagment.

Among the caliphate desciples, they have astronaut, great mathematicians, chemist, physicist etc.

That Alfa is one stupid Alfa like shekau.

I can't support anybody if what they bring to the table is mediocre, countrymen or not, let's face it, lionheart is thrash, it's the same story we've all seen, the only reason its up for nomination is the oscars are being diverse in this PC culture and yemi isn't a vocalist, she might get nominated but she won't win unless the Grammy's have lost their touch
I thought the same too on lion heart hyping and blowing on Netflix. There is nothing spectacular about that movie and getting it on Oscar is just for PR to africa from Oscar.

Trash! Yemi Alade is a trashy artist even for 'Nigerian Standards.' 98% of her Music is incoherent gibberish. Apart from her early singles 'Ghen Ghen Love' and 'Johnny' her songs come across as boring garbage that I wouldn't listen to twice, unless I was paid to do so.
Have you listened to "Nagode"; English and Swahili version.

. President Gen Murtala Mohammed conceived the idea in 1978 .He wanted a central place for the capital of Nigeria.Abuja is central and nobody s land then. President Babangida implemented it in 1991. Regrettably all federal capital projects were abandoned...National theatre Iganmu. National Stadium Surulere and so on....
I thought murtala was assasinated in 1976.
He overthrown Gowon in 1975 and his administration didnt last past a year before OBJ took over.
Politics › Re: Why Did Nigeria Move Its Capital From Lagos To Abuja? by Sirwallace(m): 11:34am On Oct 05, 2019
wirinet:
The main reason the capital was moved from Lagos was mainly security. Security of the government against coups and security of the country against foreign invasion.
The seat of government Dondan Barracks and State house (marina) were security nightmares. It was very prone to coups as it is surrounded by Two major Barracks - Bonny camp and Dodan Barracks. All a soldier has to do to overthrow the government was to take control of the two Barracks in a lightening strike.

Another major disadvantage of Lagos as the seat of government is that it is too close to the sea. An advanced navy could sneak into the marina with a submarine undetected and overthrow the government with special forces, while an aircraft carrier wait off the coast to begin a full invasion. An invasion could be carried out within a few hours. Remember, Saddam Hussain sacked the Kuwaiti seat of government within 12 hours of invasion.

Another problem with Lagos was that it was easy to isolate the seat of government from the rest of the country. Just blow up the bridges that connect the Lagos island from the mainland and the government would be isolated. It would be impossible to bring in troops to repel an attack on the seat of government.
One of the smartest comment I have read on NL.
Nice man
