The way the fast track the screening process, I knew they were eager to go on recess. Everytime TAKE A BOW AND GO. Whoever or whatever group that made the tradition of not questioning former senators appointed as minister should be ashamed of themselves. That tradition is ridiculous.
Also screening of the nominees without portfolio is absurd. They are too many loopholes in our rules, laws and tradition.

This dude invested massively in infrastructure but change and disrupt some policies orchestrated by his predecessors and that was the beginning of his downfall.
Worse of it all, he didnt have the ball to challenge the power that be in lagos. So right now, his political value is close to nothing.

Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu Campaign Signboard “Vote BAT 2023’’ Spotted In Lagos by Sirwallace(m): 9:54am On Jul 29, 2019
izzou:
In other words, if Tinubu rules in 2023 to whenever, he will conveniently hand over to a Northerner and the cycle goes on because no other region has such partnership? Hear yourself sir

Even in your individual states, you still allocate gubernatorial seats to regions..... But it's never possible with the presidential seat

Very funny
Sir, even within states, some sregion who dont play their card very well dont get to the governorship seat. I know of Lagos and Ogun state. We all so how Ambode an Epe man was disgraced by his own people in the governorship primary in Lagos.

Contrary to what you inferred, any region or group can become president if and only they gather support from all region. If the middle belt, south south and east play the politics right, trust me nothing will stop them from emerging president in the future.
Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu Campaign Signboard “Vote BAT 2023’’ Spotted In Lagos by Sirwallace(m): 9:26am On Jul 29, 2019
izzou:
Yeah

So we can conveniently say that since the South west and the north have such loyalty, then they will keep ruling us back to back while the south south, south east and middle belt watches, right?

This is what you mean Abi?
Other region too can make such loyalty to get the numbers but I doubt if that numbers can outnumber the other two regions.
Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu Campaign Signboard “Vote BAT 2023’’ Spotted In Lagos by Sirwallace(m): 9:15am On Jul 29, 2019
izzou:
They don't have the numbers?

Is there any time they will ever have the numbers?

I'm talking about taking turns to strengthen our unity.
Let parties present candidates from the middle belt, and let the party support him. What has numbers got to do with that?
Now you are getting the drill. That is loyalty with other region. That is when a minority group can get the number to win election in this country.
Jonathan did exactly that in the south west few weeks to the election and he got all south west support except osun state where he lost.
Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu Campaign Signboard “Vote BAT 2023’’ Spotted In Lagos by Sirwallace(m): 9:12am On Jul 29, 2019
Another thing is if tinubu himself didnt become president in 2023, he will be by proxy. The guy knows nigeria politics like the back of his hand.

izzou:
And when they voted in Obasanjo in 8 years, they didn't play politics right abi?

And what about the Middle belt? Why are you guys deflecting from there and focusing on the Igbos?
OBJ is a product of june 12. A compensation by the military to the yoruba after the all accepted 1993 election and what follows after Abacha's death.
The middle belt still dont have the numbers and loyalty with the north can get them the numbers. Still around the points I mentioned earlier.
And OBJ couldnt have won without the number in the north.
Politics › Re: Bola Tinubu Campaign Signboard “Vote BAT 2023’’ Spotted In Lagos by Sirwallace(m): 8:50am On Jul 29, 2019
izzou:
Do you think they need to play any games to earn it?

What game did the North West play before the whole nation voted Musa Yaradua? Did you know him before he won?. All it took was for Obasanjo to lift his hand

I'm not saying it must be Igbos though.... But we have other regions in the country....

Like I said, the first tenure of the Yorubas was also supported by these same Igbos. Or did the Yorubas play any game for that one?
I have nothing against an igbo man becoming the president. I am an advocate of competency for any elective post regardless of the ethnic or political affiliation of the candidate. But in nigeria's politics, loyalty and much more numbers win election. Until the igbo learn how to play the politics right, I am afraid it would take an eon for them to get to that stage of producing the president.
If you look at the emergence of yaradua and jonathan as president, you cant take away those two factors I mentioned.

I dont really understand the rational behind ministerial nomination without portfolio.
The worst of it is the bow and go screening processing. I was mesmerised when I saw senators defending appointed ministers as opposed to drilling them just because they are politically inclines or came from the same state.
Even a non reasonable dino was asking keyamo to recite the second stanza of the national anthem.
I mean the whole process is just a shambolic one.

Well said by her. She's one of those actress with sanity. Portraying your personal life and most times faking it does not portray you as being successful. Most celebrities do it for showbiz which is understandable, but most who copy this do so as a result of inferiority complex.

High time our leaders started fighting for our citizens abroad. Many have been lynched, killed by these south Africans. There was a recent recording of Ghanians looting Nigerian shops in their country. And the minister of foreign affairs, the ambassador to these countries are not taking any action against these moves. Thanks to the timely intervention of Abike Dabiri in some of these cases.
