maj007: THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Ignorance is a major problem in Nigeria. We have so many educated illiterates in our midst.
"What people don't understand, they fear and what they fear they destroy". Nowadays, they run to social media to cry wolves.
I learnt typing with a typewriter. And I can say that the so called typing tutor is not the appropriate tool to teach keyboarding skills.
Strength build up in the fingers is very necessary to achieve dexterity when using a computer keyboard. Also, typewriter allows you to master looking away from the keyboard while typing. Once you hear the bell, you know where you are.
The teachers are, in fact, doing the right thing. SHIKENNA Bro, I know typist who had never used a typewriter and that look away typing with a speed of light. So whats your point? |

fairfora: Shock of my life you said . There's no point sending a PM, especially for security reasons. Pls understand me. In case you have read my post recently, my aged mum's personal nurse was kidnapped 2 wks ago, only to be released a few days back after paying a huge sum as ransom. The trauma still lingers. I'm not doubting you personality and I don't look down on people. The only PM I've replied to so far was that of a lady who said she needed a job at ayinke house(LASUTH), the day PMB came to lagos to commission the hospital building and I made a comment under a post here because i was also there .We didn't eventually meet. I only gave her a Dr's number to call. You have divulged too much of a personal information already. Just let the guy go and focus on what is important. You have made your point intelligently without disrespect unlike he did and you keep going back and forth with him. Silence they say is golden and it works in a situation like this. |

Dude, you have the best of response you can get from some of the guys here. Speaking as a graduate, a degree in computer science will expose you to different area of ICT but trust me wont be easy in a nigeria school if you do it fulltime unless you can afford private school.
Since you need your job for upkeep and family support, enroll in distance learning, part time or NOUN and continue with your job.
Then go for professional online course and thank me later. |

I remember the first time I set my foot in UYO, the Akwa Ibom capital. The place was nice and serene and the road network was great. When I got to camp in NYSC, one of the moderators told us how clean we met the place and we should keep it that way.
I believe a sane government re-orientation of the populace will go a long way. |

Freehuman: Most Nigerian youths are actually lazy. They do that to all politicians.
Nigerians are not honest. These old people are right. I'm from a well to do family and yes people come in to disturb my parents. People with huge muscle mass, height and everything. They wake up , sleep, gamble, have sex beg online and offline. Have you try to engage them and try help their situation through job and empowerment. |

Those guys who are lambasting the guy because of his situation are the few fortunate ones who were in his shoes and managed to scale through. I expected something better from those guys.
Life they say is not fair. Before school, I did all of those things some suggested the guy do; selling for mum, work in a factory and did a teaching job. I realised there is no future in that path and I worked my ass to get to school.
Managed and graduated from mech engine department with the so called strong 2.1 finished NYSC and here I am close to 30 and still looking for job. Does that make me a lazy human, not street smart or Simply lazy?
Some of these guys have no idea how life treat others even when life is throwing all the jabs at you.
Like a guy rightly said, na person wey get bag of rice for house dey see person wey dey buy cup as foolish.
Would be glad if anyone could help the situation here too..I reside in lagos. |

Sports › Re: Man Utd Have Become Toxic Under Woodward - Even Guardiola Would Struggle by Sirwallace(m): 10:48am On Sep 27, 2019 |
Truth lies in the squad depth of ManU, poor transfer policy and lack of player discipline. Sacking mourinho wat justifiable going by his pattern of football which is in contrast with united style of play.
There is this pure transfer policy of keeping those average English players by all means. Like wha the hell is rashford, lingard and the likes still doing in that team and why would they let that big for nothing pogba still remain in that team and cut herrer loose.
Although woodward has his own flaws as regards the transfer policy but the bulk of the work lies with the manager disciplinary action on and off the field. Only pep and probably Conte has that discipline that can revive that squad and bring back our glory days. |

I would study mechanical engineering over and over again but wont near nigeria for the study or practice. 99% of the lecturers here know nothing practical about the course. Common CAD and sollid work hard for these people.
After graduating with the hype strong 2.1 with no opportunity to show for it.
With solid engineering background, I can divert to ICT which is the route I am taking now.
Done with HTML and CSS. Now on this stubborn javascript. Surprisingly i did all this with a phone as No money since laptop got stolen During NYSC.
The ultimate goal is web and app development and data science.
Still on the look out for job, i would appreciate anyone who will offer help cus things has not been easy. |
