That was similar to how they took over india. it all started with a company in India too. Where different territory and chief seek refuge and armoury before the british started controlling their territories.

I am ashamed of myself that I never came across this nigeria's story.
Foreign Affairs › Re: President Macron Of France Is A Fool! - Trump by Sirwallace(m): 9:57am On Jul 27, 2019
duni04:
Bros forget story. The major issues in America are unemployment and crime. He has tackled those issues head-on. Unemployment is at its lowest in decades. He is tackling crime by getting rid of undocumented immigrants. Simple!
His foreign policy is "America first".
WW2 ended more than 70 years ago. America cannot continue giving hangouts to the Europeans, especially now that China is quickly knocking on the global power door. It's every country for herself today. If America continues to carry the weight of the EU and NATO and continues to subsidise the rest of the world, China will just promote itself to to global superpower status. Trump is simply shaking off the shackles that have kept America subsidising the world for the past 70 years. China is the motivation.
I totally agree with you on everything trump is doing for his country. Welfare and security of the citizens is the responsibilty of every country leaders. My point is you don't do that by undermining and ridiculing your counterpart from other countries.

Imagine a putin calling trump foolish on some policy. What do you think will be the outcome of that?
Foreign Affairs › Re: President Macron Of France Is A Fool! - Trump by Sirwallace(m): 9:38am On Jul 27, 2019
duni04:
You are talking nonsense oga. Check the stats, it's only illegals from Nigeria that hate trump. Trump has placed the American economy on a pedestal to be respected by all. Unemployment is the lowest in ages, stock market is booming. What else would anyone want? He has prioritised America first! How dare you even compare with Obama the was a specialist at giving speeches? Obama was all talk and no action. Remember the red line in Syria? He made America a laughing stock.
Trump may be a lousy President, but at least he's lousy with a cause and with action. Obama did nothing for anybody apart from writing a book that fetched him and his family millions. He didn't even do anything for his black constituency.
He puts americans first at the expense of ridiculing and putting other countries economy down. Thats what you call patriotism. But I call it patriotism with selfishness. Trump is acting because of america's biggest economy and military might. That was the case of Hitler too. The only difference between the two is the absence of land grabbing. Power intoxicate they say. Trump is pushing for his match across the globe, until he met his match in Putin or the short man in north korea across EU.
He forgot other countries too have their countries interest at heart and he is no respecter of their interest.
If you dont call that selfishness, I dont know what you are supposed to call it.
Foreign Affairs › Re: President Macron Of France Is A Fool! - Trump by Sirwallace(m): 9:21am On Jul 27, 2019
The same trump who keep increasing tax and tariff on china's goods. If every country leaders are as ruthless and extremely patriotic as some people who call it, inflation and chaos would have absolved the whole world.

If it is the same apapa-oshodi expressway I just came from, then the govt need to arrest 100% of danfo plying that road. They all drive against traffic and the gridlock from apapa port is not helping issue.

I expected the ministers to be screened on the basis of their expected portfolio .
Same thought I had when I was watching the screening. How do you screen candidates without knowledge of their job description. I dont really know what the constitution says about this, but I believe ministerial nominees should come with portfolio so they can be properly screen according to their portfolio.

I mean how do you interview a job applicant for a job you the recruiter dont know they would handle?

Its a welcome development. i wish same can be replicated across various ministries to return sanity to this country. Many civil servants abscond from their place of work. It is worse at the local government level.
This says a lot about integrity of nigerian youth.

Na NLC life problem be that, if they cant strike for high cost of governance through security vote for executives, runing cost for goverment offices, and constituency allowance or strike to expose political looting in ministry or strike for Inflation, and energy cost hike, then fvck them.. we cant continue piling up national debt just to pay Politicians and Civil Servants Salary

Useless civil servants: ministry of water resources want pay rise without providing water to any citizens, ministry of work wants to get increment for doing absolutely nothing as engineers but hire Chinese Goverment Civil engineers for every small project including covet and drainages

...
A lot of sense in what you wrote there.there is no added values across various ministries and yet they wanted added value in their renumeration despite the huge sum budgeted for each ministry every year.

Competency has nothing to do with tribe or ethnicity. If you are good, a befitting organization like MTN will recognise you and so I am not surprise they replace the former chairman with the chap.

The fear of the unknown after brexit is the reason the past PM chicken out of office. Most british wanted a no deal brexit, strong brexit they call it. I believe they are happy with the emergence of Boris as one of the strong advocate of that.

Sports › Re: Sports Industry Vs Entertainment Industry Which Is The Biggest In The World? by Sirwallace(m): 9:19am On Jul 22, 2019
I see people mistake fame for wealth here.
We all love sports, majorly football and that explains the sentimental that comes with our judgement.

Entertainment industry is an all rounder and it viewership and endorsement genarates more revenue that a sport event.

Talking about fact, the epl clubs combined generated €248m in 2018.
When disney join marvel in 2018 to produce their blockbuster movies like avengers: infinty, black panthers and the likes, they generates a whooping of $1.2b for 4 movies in 2018 alone.
The numbers say it all.

There is nothing brown about Lupita Nyongo, the woman's skin colour is black and there's nothing wrong with it but all this hype around her is pretentious at best. That's the same way they made her the most beautiful woman in the world a few years ago. There's no way a bald headed woman like this can be the most beautiful woman in the world, it's just an attempt by white people to make blacks feel like they are beautiful but as always, they choose the darkest, baldest and most masculine looking black women.

I don't understand the purpose of this challenge. What is the essence of posting your pictures for a challenge when you already post those same pictures every single day on social media? Should white people also start their own challenge? All these things are unnecessary and it's just an attempt to make black people feel proud and beautiful but do we need constant validation of our looks?

I would much rather see a Malaria or AIDS challenge that would bring about donations and social reforms in tackling the two most devastating ailments of our continent.
To cut it all short, it is called inferiority complex.
