Lovelypet28: Schools should open, we are too many in nigeria with limited resources to go round, when children start falling ill because of there underdeveloped immune system, parents will spend more, but because we dont think as nigerians, we want to open schools, lol. Anyways if people die, population will reduce. No reopening of schools till Sept., the government should be thinking in the direction of e- education, make internet cheaper. Israel and germany that opened early are regretting it. The thing with those countries is the detection and manner to act on it. Nigeria can't do both |

Let me put in clear terms.it is a proposal for education during this pandemic.the ministry is seeking more inputs to it.this proposal includes the online teaching programs.tv and radio teaching etc.please read before commenting guys. This site needs serious fact checks sometimes. |

Perfecttouchade: are private teachers ready to sacrifice this term without payments, cos we need to ask ourselves, is it the parents who can't feed properly at the moment would be able to afford school bills due to the inability to work during the Lockdown..even school owners can't pay teachers for now, let's be honest with ourselves...what If teachers keep infecting theirselves and they start losing teachers, we will then get sense and realize we are still in the fight or even children having to go to isolation centres . People think it's simple like bread and butter |

Investnow2017: You noticed too that since the US demonstrations the figures there have spiked considerably. What baffles me though is South Africa recording over 4,000+ cases daily for over a week now and it does seem their death rate is climbing too. You notice they tallied over 100+ fatalities in the last 24hours! This is not looking good. I'm waiting for the spike in other states to finally conclude yeah it's the protests. So far NY and Minnesota haven't seen real spikes yet . Funny south Africa has conducted more tests than many countries including Nigeria and they're just recording high numbers now. From what is happening, my take is unless you are New Zealand, have low population density, do effective tests and contact tracing and of course the socio-economy and psyche of the people permits, then there's no getting rid of this thing. Now Nigeria is a funny case cos we don't know how sick people are getting and it's annoying . Their just dropping figures is becoming useless now . Lagos don't even provide breakdown again. I'm beginning to agree with some in saying 'where are they getting this people from' |

She said she knows some people that work with the Covid-19 team and they are not likely to ever become poor in their lives with the money they make from there. Someone also told me they haven't been paid for this month . That's why they didn't hold briefings yesterday. |

Investnow2017: What is happening in Brazil? Over 40,000+ new cases and 1,364 deaths in 24hours! Catastrophic! The virus is happening . I'm beginning to think the virus arrived there last year instead of February or their atmosphere has been polluted by the virus (if that's possible). It's the same reasoning when US kept recording 20k daily cases for weeks . |

Judybash93: Well, i have a friend who was hospitalised here in Chengdu after contracting the virus. A young healthy dude who is a diet freak and very strong guy became a shadow of himself after the disease almost knocked the life out of him. They had to place him on a ventilator after his lungs almost gave way. Unless if you're looking for a 1918 solution where those who will die should die, i think we should rather look for a way to eradicate this thing. We did it with small pox, we should find a solution instead of trying to race against nature. Where is that if i may ask? |

Purplebubble: who will call for testing, when the ones who called for testing were asked to go home and wait for their results while they keep spreading it at home, they self medicated after and got better after weeks the result comes out and they come pick them up to isolation centers, very ridiculous. The country does not have a working system, other countries their governments provide food and salaries for their citizens but here in Nigeria everything got worse. All we got here were fake promises, power supply even got worse, prices of items sky rocketed. Malaria has killed more than covid 19 in 2 months so they Chanel the same energy on malaria, eradicating of mosquitoes. If we continue the way we are going It will take years for Nigeria to recover, funds are being embezzled, hunger is ravaging, people are still losing their jobs, the country is on a stand still and people are still glamouring for lock downtown. I pity some people Well we can on agree on something. This country has no working system for anything |

NwokoloOwa: Governor you should be forming an Advisory Health Committee with other key professionals like virologists, medical laboratory scientists, epidemiologists, pharmacists etc. Not a team of only medical doctors with limited experience in the pandemic management which will affect their delivery when we don't have much of those . Notice how most of our universities have been silent throughout. Only thing they're thinking of is having financial dispute with government |

FlordFlorez: both are involved in securing & protecting lives. But FG is expected to be more proactive. Well true. Unfortunately they keep reminding us that this is Nigeria . Sad that before covid only Lagos and Abuja had something close to infections disease facilities. Four months down the virus and up to 20 states haven't moved to establish their own centres and are still waiting for NCDC . The kind of headache in this country |

Redman44: The world is resuming full activities on all fronts. Covid-19 is being phased out gradually. Why are cases of Covid-19 rising in Nigeria suddenly? Is it because of the money that will be collected from the WHO and other donor Agencies? Africa has not really been affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic. Let us be honest with ourselves. Phased out in New Zealand maybe . The virus is still gripping the world. Check the news. |
