Purely overhyped virus, malaria is more dangerous than the virus.
Virus that causes lose of taste and smell for just one week and that's all.
I weep for Africa's economy.
Follow follow no dey pay. You think there won't be effects of these protests? So we should experience what they're going through? Sure we'll love to stage our own protests when we have 100k covid deaths. All over the world people don't care about protocols I will give you that. |

Investnow2017: We can't fight this virus. South Africa has executed ONE MILLION more tests than Nigeria. Even Ghana has done four times more testing than Nigeria. We are just fortunate that the virus here is not lethal, it would have been a different story. Yeah we just can't, at least not anytime soon. What I see seems to be playing to our favour is a large chunk of those infected are in the 20-50 age range. Though there's been a cases of deaths from that age range also globally. I thought south Africa would begin to level out by now given the testing . Oh well people are tired of the lockdown and corona i guess |

studentofTruth: Anybody with some knowledge of epidemiology knows that Covid-19 will eventually explode in Nigeria. My concern here is the 17.2% positive result among the tested individuals. And not as if we are good with isolation and contact tracing.
Luckily, the death rate is below 3%. Nevertheless, we can't wait for the vaccine! God help us all! Yep Nigeria will eventually join the league of 100k as the population allows for it. Even south Africa could get there. So we should be ready to keep dealing with covid till the end of next year, if no probable vaccine arrives. |

wolfenstein: @NCDCgov make Una no vex o, if you guys say Lagos alone has 6,611 confirmed cases and recovered is 997 while death is 82, and we have only 8 isolation centres in lag with bed capacity of 547. Where are d other ppl being isolated cos wen calculation is done, we will have 5,532 confirmed cases meanwhile the isolation centres in Lagos can only contain 4,376 ppl...... This is what journalists should be asking . I think they've said only those with moderate symptoms will be hospitalized. They should do more than just dropping figures |

adekS1: I av seen patients dying of coronavirus, some dead at IDH,yaba...
But wat baffles me is that is it fear thats making our media personnel not to enter the wards where symptomatic patients are kept to at least calm the nerves of doubters.
They shd wear the overall PPEs n enter those rooms cos l feel they are afraid of getting close to these patients thats why its bn difficult getting those videos n pics. if it's a corona movie people want then they should tune in to TVC, Sunday 10pm. They're covering Kano |

Pavillon: I swear down, I read thru my previous posts, supporting this pandemic in Nigeria initially. But Im confused now, seems these people are already taking us for a cruise with this pandemic. Imagine TVC wanted to shed more light on covid update in Nigeria and they were showing video footage from other western countries. Showing us their hospital and patients. Like are we alright in this country.
I know corona is real and it's present in Nigeria, but this government is not been truthful with what is going on . They are running a programme of Kano treatment centers on Sunday if people are interested |

SmartPolician: Is that headline supposed to be news?
What exactly do those who attend the press briefing ask them?
How come there's no update on Madagascar remedy and US drug? How effective are they?
How come no companies or labs are carrying out clinical trials here?
Does it means we are one useless 200 million people tied up in one contraption? What are the medical sciencists among us doing?
Why does it cost 40-50k to do a Covid-19 test when a Senegalese lab is doing it for a dollar or so?
Are those journalists there for clout chasing? Thank you. I've been asking what exactly the press briefings are for if at the end of the day they don't really say anything or get asked anything. The last useful thing they did was outlining new treatment protocols for covid patients, nothing else . Like why private schools are charging for farce online learning or why schools that couldn't complete second term are moving to third already or why ASUU are still on strike and that's one just one area . They expect the cases to rise? So until all health workers become infected then we'll reach our breaking point? Provide us with useful data on our progress, No they won't |
