Law-makers are not a priority to us. They have failed to represent the law that they make and defended the law-breakers. For that reason, I am not fazed by any top politician who experiences injustice.

Gone are the days when there were pressure groups. These top guns are embezzlers and money sharers. I have zero feeling for them. This man was nowhere when youths were murdered for protesting against the evil of SARs
PoliticsRe: Abonnema Community Celebrates 54th Year Of Libration From Biafra By Nigeria by Sixfiguresmart(m): 1:22pm On Jun 22, 2022
Very dramatic and I wonder how much those acts were paid.

Biafra is an imagination and not a reality. It died after the war. The Biafran agenda is actually what set the Igbos back in this country. If they had been Obidient from the start, they would have been a huge part of the decision-making in the country. From my interactions with them, the neglect and massive prejudice against them fuel the agitation for Biafra. You cannot keep a people enslaved for that long without a pushback. The federal government planned to keep them poor and grounded but they should have provided more education for the youths and integrated them in the Nigerian agenda.

Biafra can never be. That is a known fact cos' the southerners do not want it. The Igbos should forget this illusion and make progressive steps toward development of their lands and pushing for national economic strength.

Let me settle this score for you.

The government is realizing that social media is an expanding ground against their agenda. They intended to use it to campaign for their preferred candidate with doctored pictures but the youths are not stupid. They have chosen to use it to campaign for Peter Obi, hence they are seeking the most irrational reasons to ban social media.

It is a political move. Look away from porn. None of the porn sites registered in Nigeria is banned.

This implies that the finance commissioner lied or does not understand his onion? I did not do due diligence though because I took it that the government knows exactly what is current.
Firstly, I will advise you to learn how to quote someone on Nairaland. You quoted me twice and adjoined my comment to yours.

Secondly, I do not represent Obi or his appointees but from a professional POV, investment profits are not decided by research or one's level of education. Like I rightly called it a "volatile market" (that is a term that you must get accustomed to), you need to understand how it works. The market can be determined by many factors. Traders of face masks, hand sanitizers, denatured alcohol and oxygen tanks didn't see the massive profit ahead of them back in the early 2000s. Traders of stationaries and educational tools didn't imagine that two years could elapse on a free fall scale. The fashion world didn't foresee 2 years without fashion events and international shows. Event center investors didn't believe that corrosion and closure were associated with their business? It is called busi"ness" for a reason. When the market isn't busy, profit is either stalled or lost.
Let me provide a more realistic example away from business. The value of properties on Banana Island soars above the financial roof, right? Imagine that a volcanic eruption began right in the middle of the Island. Wouldn't that crash the value? Would you blame the estate valuers or call them incompetent?

Thirdly, there is no formula for success. The only suggestion is endeavor. That is what the man did. There is still a potential for growth in that business.

Lastly, in comparison to looted funds (money approved to better the lives of all Nigerians stolen by a thief for his own selfish and greedy use) , invested fund is extensively more noble, legal and credible.

Now, who has a more credible character, the man who looted or the man who invested?

If Nigeria were your company, who would you throw in jail, (the embezzler) the thief or the manager man who made less profit?

Tell yourself the truth and let sentiment hide in shame

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Invested N1.96 Billion And The Value Now Is N2.24 Billion (picture) by Sixfiguresmart(m):
I strongly believe that it is a great investment. A stride above embezzled funds. He endeavored in a volatile market and that is better than looting. It is called investment and every success story can resonate with that. Tinubu looted the national coffer in broad daylight with hundred of onlookers witnessing the historic bullion vans moving the national (every single Nigerian's) money into his PRIVATE residence. The impunity. There is no theft bigger than that recorded by a non-elected civilian.
Anything away from this chain of unscrupulous grandees is welcome. The people are revolting already. They need a fresh face and something away from the corrupt system.

I see no reason why a sane human being would support Tinubu if not for either selfish or tribal reasons. A man with a throng of villainous mobs on his pay list. What can he every achieve? He believes in the same old autocratic godfatherism system. Enough! That system is hurting. The entire country is sinking already.

Time to get off that horse and try something new.
Seun:
Peter Obi's supporters had claimed that his investment grew in dollar value, so that justifies debunking the claim based on the dollar value. However, there is value in continuing the debate so there's no reason why we shouldn't feature this thread also. It still doesn't look like a great investment to me though.

Realist12:
You sound like we need Jesus or a saint to rule us , Obi isn't a saint and will definitely be worse than Buhari im very sure of that, I say he's inheriting the endsars movement , coupled with the ipob movement he's not in anyway exceptional, as a Lagosian that you claim to be have youbeen to other southwestern states and seen the amount of Anambrians trooping to the south west ? Working and living here , I find it appalling when our youths follow the social media band wagon to support Obi . I can imagine Peter of psquare campaigning for Obi on the streets of Lekki phase 1 just after the toll gate yet he can't walk in his Anambra village like that . But our so called youths are acting like spoiled brats for social media clout supporting Obi when non can leave the comfort of the south west to live in Anambra. Tinubu knows the system and gets results from the system. Lagos is the only place the system actually works if we talking about accountability, all civil Servants in Nigeria will prefer working in Lagos than any other state , except maybe the federal civil service . Yet Lagos has agencies and facilities that no other state nor the federal government has provided . All these are the antecedents of Tinubu.
I know you might argue that Lagos was the former capital but go and compare federal government facilities and state government facilities in Lagos. You'd only the federal government facilities are just a burden on the Lagos community...
Wow! That shocks in my spine Haha. Bro, I live and work in Abuja. I will never accept an offer to work in Lagos. This Hallelujah Lagos is not my ish. We lived in Lagos in the early 90ies and it was a fantastic place where dreams have always come true for millions way before Tinubu was born. I know the history of Lagos and the pivotal role it plays in the Nigerian economy.

Kids born in the 2000s can be twisted into adulating Tinubu but my family has never benefitted from any government initiatives orchestrated by Tinubu or his cohorts. The Lagos that I know was built by the hard-working citizens and residents not by Tinubu. Tinubu didn't prosecute all the looters and embezzlers during the military regime. He has zero record for fighting corruption.

I do not venerate humans. Tinubu is not a miracle worker. Yes, I am Lagosian from Surulere, but as I type this, my relatives are seeking visas to leave this illustrious Lagos of yours that was created by Tinubu.

I am not that tribal to polish a shimmering shiit. Shiit is flushed and not dressed. Like I have been iterating, I need a healthy man for the job and not a chronic patient with a chain of thug companions.

At some point, one has to desecrate tribalism and embrace functionality. Tinubu acts like he owns Lagos and Lagos has been before his birth. I do not see his substantial list of achievements in this Lagos state.

The preponderance of migrants to Lagos is not a credit affiliated to Tinubu. Come on, man! You can do better than this. More or less, he is a patient who needs medical care not a national chair.

As I know, no one pulls in more thugs/embezzlers than Tinubu right now. This is a man frolicking with Gandollar, a thief caught on tape.

I do not see endars movement or Ipob as a scare to national security. I see youths who are jobless and lack education. When put to use, young men will exhaust their energu on making incomes for their family rather than protesting on the streets.

If your scare is endsars and Ipob, then you do not know the problems in Nigeria, or have the rational on how to fix them. Yesterday 50 youths were arrested in Ibadan for internet fraud, a day before 30 and a week before same numbers of innocent youths forced into fraud by a sick old man commandeering the state of the country. Tinubu is sick. Let us state the fact. Thay is the elephant in our tiny space.

He is sick and he is extremely corrupt. We will end up being ruled by a cabal of old embezzlers. Just as we are having it now. The economy is crashing. All we do is import. People are jobless with no stable power. Get this! First-rate countries are struggling let alone this dome of corruption
PoliticsRe: Housing: Sanwo-Olu Flags Off Development Of Falomo Towers In Ikoyi by Sixfiguresmart(m): 2:06pm On Jun 20, 2022
Can I reiterate enough that I did not know him before now? I read about him lately and so far, I see him as a fresh face in the helm of affairs. This is what we lack. It has been a wheel of same name and same people running the circus.

One thing that kills this country is missing accountability. Every politician at the top frolic with one another and are indebted to themselves. Buhari stepped in with a matrix of fraudulence and extreme corruption. Tinubu that I know is fraudulent. He has a slew of thugs that resound his call and they do this for a pay.

I have decided to sit this out and mind my business now. I do not have a PVC and have no intention to even in a hundred years. My only concern is the pervasion of poverty, insecurity and joblessness. An old man who battles medical conditions like his cannot perform the job. That is my belief. A young fresh face, whoever he is will rewind the wheel of embezzlement. At least. let these old crooks go. They have established friends and loyalists at all corners already.

I attest that a sick old man is unfit to rule a country like Nigeria. I have voiced out my distaste for his candidacy a long time ago and this is not about him as a person. We4all:
Stop sounding woke. America is not Nigeria. Have you ever wondered why some Americans will prefer to rent than buy a house?

Guy, in America, circumstances and so many factors can make the value of a house depreciate over time. If you claim to be so knowledgeable, then I shouldn’t even have to tell you this.

There are so many properties whose value have depreciated over time in the US. There are so many celebrities whose houses have been up for sale for half the value of what it’s worth. There are others who can’t even get a tenant to rent their apartments.

So, if I say Peter’s investment is bad, I know what I’m saying. Real estate investment in the US is not the ABC that you’re used to in Nigeria.

Here in Nigeria, real investment is gold but in America, factors can turn against you and you may suffer losses in your investment.

Ask Michael Jordan the value of his mansion that he is willing to sale for half his value and no one even wants to buy. I don’t have the energy to go on. So, stop sounding like a ‘know it all’.
Have you ever lived in the US? Do you read papers or watch TV to make your conclusions? Bro, owning a house is part of the America dream. Stop being irrational. I can't explain beyond what I already did. For more details, read my comment again.

You know nothing about his investments. Stop calling his house a $2k house because he shares a contrasting political viewpoint from yours.

Simply invest on Nigeria and let the man revel in his hard-earned investments. You can't advise a man on where to invest the money that you didn't gift him. The man is a megastar and a wealthy Nigerian.

He is not an embezzler like Tinubu

You are not better than them . That's all
I am not a nationalist, solid fact. Who cares about a dirty country like Nigeria? Not me, neither you nor the leaders who loot and bleed thia country. Tinubu's doctor is an American and operates in the US only. Is that a nationalist whose wealth is counted in dollars, a foreign currency?

All the candidates do not have better lives than me. I do not urinate on myself. I lift 400kg and can run for 2 hours consecutively. I can walk the street without being caged like a bird or have someone cover by backside to conceal my poop. Atiku can hardly kick a ball. We all got one life and breathe the same oxygen. How are their LIVES better than mine? I pay my medical bills and my teeth are as white as snow and well arranged.
I have been to 56 countries and paid for all my tickets from my hardwork not stolen wealth. I go to bed with no blood in my hands. I have never ripped anyone's future or stolen anyone's pension.

I have done more for Nigerians with my sweat than all the candidates can ever do. I have people on scholarship and I help ordinary Nigerians without taking a single picture to fool others. I have assisted 16 people with flight ticket to leave this shitthole.

Where are Tinubu's grandchildren? Where were his children educated? My mother is not from this dumpster to begin with and I wasn't born here. I live and work here for obvious reasons. I am Nigerian working here as a foreigner with privileges that my fellow Nigerians cannot get.

If I take you, the nationalist to many places, the national security officer will not allow you in.
So much for being a nationalist. You are absolutely insignificant to this country. A sorry asss to the men you are fighting for. In your wildest dream would Tinubu shake your hands. His entourage will run over your lifeless body.

I am a proud Nigerian but not a cynical nationalist. Am I mad? You are being delusional thinking that this country cares about your poopface.
I am far better than them all. I will never place second behind thieves who shohld have been in jail. These are ruthless convicts in other countries. My goodness! How dare you compare me to a bunch of bloody criminals and embezzlers? The nerve!

Go and get a job, bro and quit reveling in horseshit.
RomanceRe: Why Are Handsome Men Always Lonely? by Sixfiguresmart(m):
Ayanwukoma:
80% of handsome men, I mean men who are truly handsome are lonely and bored most days of their life because people mostly try to stay away from them...

Women assume they have a lot of girls flocking around them which is not always true.

Some men are afraid or jealous to be friends with them so as not to cause problem with their wife/fiancees/girlfriend.

Same can't be said for pretty girls, who men flock around with.

True or false
I don't know where you got that statistic but you are not far from the truth. I happen to fall in that category of flamboyance. I look more like the guy in the first picture and I am considered very handsome. How do I know so? My mirror tells me a third of what people from different races, age tiers and genders tell me.
Am I lonely, maybe, sometimes but I find ways to engage my mind. Hit the gym and a good family support system.

One factor of loneliness is the psychological expectations. When people imbed that spirit of demanding adulation from others in you from childhood, it goes on to affect a man for life.

The constant stare inflates one's ego. The preferential treatment, the free passes, and unstoppable messaging from girls and men, and to be honest the constant display of low esteem or expressions of volatility by women to gain your attention makes the world a better day while it lasts.

Hard to keep a relationship with a jealous partner. You have to constantly prove your loyalty. A huge task, I must say. Done that and not willing to redo.

One repugnant thing I came to realize is how much of a toy I am to people. Imagine being wanted only for sexual reasons. I felt like a sex doll/slave for years. Hid my body that I work hard for so that no one gushes over me. I wanted the attention to be on my intelligent and prowess. Worked for a while but the closer people get to me, the turn begins to redefine.

I have lost many friends because of their girlfriends and I have lost many friends because of their desires. I am not just handsome, I also own a few cash. That makes me a target. A real target and no exaggeration.

I broke free from the plantation now. I have no feeling to spare. I tell girls off like I'm reading a line. I don't care how you feel. Don't slyly try to win me over. I tell em to look to God. I am not in the market and hunt no pussyy. Restrict meet ups and read my Bible. No expectations, no bad days.

All handsome and lonely men, read your Bible and be close to Jehovah, your God. Happier now and less bored. 30 minutes on Nairaland to connect with Nigerians. Rest of the day at work, gym, family, hustles. No time for loneliness

Real investment is a good investment in Nigeria but not in America if you are not a Citizen. I say what I know.
The weight of your pocket is felt by you. Investment in Nigeria is not worth it. Let me explain this to you. Dangote could have been above 100 billion dollars today on Forbes had his major investment been in the US. The volatility of the Naira is what plunged Dangote to an ever dwindling billionaire.

Dangote at one point was wealthier than the wealthiest man in India or Asia. But, his wealth went to a third and has not gained as was his trend in the earlier part of the GEJ regime.

All the naira investment billionaires have failed to double their wealth or triple it in almost 10 years. Compare Alakija to Oprah winfrey, Dangote to Ambani, Otedola to Mark Cuban or even Trump.

If you are unschooled about real estate, keeping mute in a conversation can earn you a spot in the realm of knowledge.

$2k is for a one bedroom depending on the location of his property. If it is a condo, who know how many flats he's got in it. Regardless, location matters. Just don't ridicule him for his property. Get yours.

leave all these long epistle and face the reality, we have 4 popular candidates Tinubu , Atiku , Obi , Kwankwanso, Tinubu happens to be the realest, best and most prepared for this job . From your arguments i can tell you're supporting Obi. Even Osinbajo was just a good speaker he can't operate the Nigerian system. Tinubu has done tremendously well in Lagos and has influenced governance positively post tenure in Lagos and the southwest. I believe Tinubu knows what to do when he gets there he is the only one among the candidates, both Atiku and Obi are just opportunist that's why they've always failed. Do you realize Tinubu and other Yoruba leaders were able to foresee the dangers of Sunday Igboho movement and were not in support hence the movement was quenched proactively yet Igboho was protected ( because its a just course taking too far) hence the peace in the southwest is maintained reasonably.
Funny enough, I have no intention to waste my vote on anyone. I rock steady. On election day, I'll be somewhere far from this shitthole. Bolted from the nonsense.

The people who clamoured against Igboho are benefactors of violence and looting. The so-called peace in the southwest is multi-descriptional and a relative facet.

My last stop in Lagos last month says otherwise. The poor are still subdued and penury lingers. The multitude at the airport is emblematic of the intrinsic catastrophe that you labelled peace.

I love to be objective, but I will leave you to your decision. I saw this plague coming and spoke out. I am fine however it turns out. The only thing that I dread is insecurity. As long as it feels safe, I thrive in my bubble. Whenever it gets ugly, I know when to rack it up.

Enjoy your Tinubu. I pray that he rewards you. Nice chat bro.
