So if we have all these problems in Nigeria, I wonder what the problem of an Uzbekistani would be? Or someone in Sweden? Or in Ecuador? Or even Lesotho? |
Excellent Article!! @MODERATOR, STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR FRONT PAGE |
[b]After the needless drama at the Lagos airport when the SSS tried to truncate his trip abroad, Malam Nasir el-Rufai was greeted at his destination with evidence of further misguided action by the Jonathan government Abeg Seun, we need a "dead" emoticon!! This El-Rufai's Media Advisor MURDERED Dr Okupe |

Sisi_Kill: Do they mean they brought the victim in to give a statement coz I don't know why they should arrest him. . . except there is more to the story.Abi o Infact Sisi kill, you have spoken my mind...for that, I am now following you (EVERYWHERE YOU GO ) |
edey2real: Am a big fan of Bolt but he's starting to get me upset with the way he is slowing down b4 finishing the race. He intentionally slow down and had it been that Blake didn't almost overtake him, he would've finished with 19.37s.I thought as much It appeared he slowed down, as soon as he was aware of how much he was ahead of blake and how much was left to run Anyway congratulations to him...that was awesome...a very thrilling 19.32 seconds!! |
![]() Ahn ahn, @dayokanu, make una chill small na...the man is still our president na, make we respect our elders small...lol |

R u freaking kidding me? hmm...like play like play...no smoke without fire o... |
frakasino: nairaland should not be a forum for throwing boorish remarks, insults or whatever on one another. Okupe's displayed a high level of reasoning and a sound argument which I except every discerning Nigerian with an unbiased mind to applaud. There have been instances of terrorism n insurgency even the most developed countries in the world, the toulouse shooting, September 11, Sheik temple shooting, Bulgarian bus bomb blast, London metro bombing.. just to mention a few. No politician or discerning individual called for the president's resignation.. these are countries with very high level of intelligence. What I expect from any Nigerian politician is not to politicise the situation but to give meaning suggestions on how to end this problem and this is coherent with Okupe's argument. In all these instances you mentioned, what was done by the authorities in those countries afterwards? People didn't call for resignation most likely because of the confidence and faith they had in the system and those at the helm. Like the joke that has been going round of recent, if Boko Haram tell you not to go out to the city centre and GEJ or the FG or the police tell you its safe and you can go, who would you believe? |
Donalð Genes: ------Hmmmmph!! Thats what am talking about.....Agreed But let GEJ come out and tell us who the sponsors of Boko haram are |
N30 billion!! |
Beaf: I'm sorry sir, but in Nigeria's case it is different. We are only making the insurgency as difficult as it is by OURSELVES!! GEJ is on record saying that he knows the sponsors of Boko Haram...what has he done to them or about them? Talking about intelligence, whats the job of the SSS? When tragedy befalls a nation you say? Don't know about El-Rufai, but I know that when the cabal were taking us for a ride, Bakare was at the fore front ensuring due process was followed and having GEJ installed as acting president. He was also there when the tragedy of hardship befell the nation with the removal of subsidy. He is also there NOW, when the tragedy of a president, who knows the sponsors of Boko Haram but fails to do anything about them, is befalling the country |
Arji: GEJ has got alot of people attacking him cos he decides not2 b a dictator...wsh he cud take a leaf from past leaders dat doesnt inclde Yar'aduaFor where? From where he wan tiff the attributes? ![]() |
190 did you write this? I mean the same 190 WOW...Things have changed in this section o |
chucky234: What I have failed to understand is why NL keeps throwing bunches at each other whenever the issue of GEJ incompetence is raised,GEJ openly told Nigerians that he knows who the sponsors of BH are then what has been stopping him from arresting those behind the sect that has ravaged the country. In fact this continues to baffle me. You know who the sponsors are, THEN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM, or is that people have not died enough? |
Kobojunkie: This is the same Nigeria where people arose in January 2010 to demand NASS swear him in as Acting President, something I was against at the time given that what we needed was an impeachment of the the president. But they got their way.Even if Yar'adua was impeached, Jonathan would still have been sworn in |
The man is not inspiring as a leader jere, I dont think he has the charisma jo...ahn ahn, since all this while, the same look...He no dey see Fashola ni? Or Obama? |
Resigning willingly in the face of incompetence or allegations is not in the nature of the Nigerian politician...so it is now someone or a group of people that will say resign and he would? For where? No be naija we dey so |
Guy, how the parole come take be eventually? |
News Flash!! Hot new Bakare gist coming up...see you there ![]() |
edicolove: Being melodramatic in a public forum will not make you right. I am not a fan of Nollywood but the reason it hasn't improved much is because there are no Nigerians available to change it. All we have are arm chair critics like you and pastor Bakare. Talk is cheap they say and posting on NL is even cheaper. That being said, you have a right to agree with Bakare but that puts you in the elitist group who will not see the poor rise to greatness. The only question I have for you then is, when you seemingly "fought" for the poor in many of your precious posts, were you just a politically correct hypocrite or were you a schemer trying to use the poor to push an agenda like the typical Nigerian politician? Or maybe all of the above?GBAM!! Game Set Match!! Shoot yourself in the foot baby ![]() |
Sisi_Kill: Lmao! I got the Pastor's back any day.LMAO *fallsdownfromchair*What a remarkable sense of humour!! |
Sisi_Kill: Since we are whipping out the dictionaryLOL...which goal post are you defending naa ![]() |
Na wah o, we need to flog this poor man mentality comot Nigeria |
. That was the spectacle of the recycled
political thesis
that confirms the crisis of thoughtlessness
. The statement accused the presidential aide of seeking “to impress in his new job.”
The statement added: “If the Jonathan administration wants El-Rufai to provide them a manual on governing Nigeria, they should do so nicely without violating his civil rights, harassing him incessantly
or suggesting that the man wants to run for an office now being desecrated
