MissMC: Hello house, Good evening. Please i have a slight challenge. I just got an email from IRCC asking to renew my medicals as it expires in August. My questions are: 1. I travel in July, do i still need to do it before leaving? 2. If i renew it, would it affect my visa already issued, and the whole process? 3. How long will it take for IRCC to receive it and update it. 4. What happens if i travel without renewing it?
I am so confused and i'll really appreciate all the help and advice i can get. who else is having this problem? For your question I have a friend here on Nairaland is Moniker is Blavkmaann also had the same email from IRCC It is advisable u get another medical done the hospital will upload it for you but incase they don't do that in time take the slip u were given in the hospital along so that at the port of entry if the CBSA officer request it, you will have evidence to prove that you have renewed your medical 2. if you renew it won't affect your issued visa as it remains valid it is just that if the medical is not renewed u might be turned back at the port of entry by the officer there. 3. IRCC will receive the update as soon as the hospital uploads it. Now if u can get a slot for medical at IOM I would advise that because i am aware that IOM sends you results to you via mail if u request. So that can serve as more concrete evidence for the officer to see. 4. WHAT HAPPENS? anyway, I can't say but sincerely it depends on the officer at the port of entry as some might send such applicant back while some might be lenient but it is better done than sorry. |

Kudiratu28: Hello please I have a question. If your current work does not connect with your program how do u tackle it to prevent a rejection. Thank you It depends does ur 1st degree tally with the course u are applying for? If yes what program are u applying for? If it is advanced than ur degree that is msc or pgd u can tailor it convincingly in ur loe and adding what advantage it will give u upon return back to nigeria. |

Kudiratu28: Good morning everyone, Please I was recently refused based on personal assets and financial status. In my application I didn’t state any assets because I felt my dad statement was good enough(60k cad+),so please in my next application, how should I tackle this issue, because I don’t have any property in my name atm. Thank you Personal assets and financial status means alot of things u need ur gcms notes to get a clear and consice picture of what the vo is saying. Are u employed? How old are you becos a matured applicant been completely sponsored will raise an eyebrow. Do u have some amount in ur own statement of account too? Lots of angles so get ur gcms notes Also a gift deed of property transfer from ur dad can also be done to boast ur application. Every thing done must be well explained that is each of the refusal reasons and how it has been tackled in ur LOE |

Johanneiyoha: Pls house, I need ur kind advise. I intend to apply for a student visa this month of June, but I had challenges getting a sponsor so I used a friend's NGO as my sponsor, in which they HV paid my tuition deposit of 1,400Cads and intend paying for my accommodation as stated in the SOP, but I still feel uneasy as I prefer using my mum but she doesn't have a passport and she is a building contractor with CAC certificate. Though business isn't booming as expected. What if I look for money and put in her account? Hw will she be of help. Pls I need ur responses my Gurus. Pls don't mind my grammatical errors. Thanks. @Frankrobbn1 @JustMellow Before the gurus comment u can only send a lumpsum into her account if the source can be clearly indicated. What i mean is this the lumpsum can be tied to sale of property such as land car or what ever as the source of the lumpsum with adequate documentatiin to back it up such as sales receipt, sale agreement etc. |

Whale2018: Good evening House.
My application refused for the second time for the following reasons:
I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions in the documents you have submitted in support of your application, as required by subsection 16(1) of the IRPA.
Specifically, I am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: Your answer to Question 2b) on your IMM1294 application form. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
The first rejection was based on course of study not being reasonable with my current profession and academic qualifications, level of establishment, IELTS, Prospect.
Our amiable gurus in the house, what do you advice, should I reapply even though my IELTS expired in April 2021?.
More also, what are the likely implications if I choose to replace my sponsor with another, a cousin, previously my in-law, because my statement of personal finance and asset were flagged in the second application when I had about N6m in it which wasn’t in the first and can’t explain why.
Thanking you in anticipation. Let ur sponsor give u a letter of sponsorship, signed affidavit of sponsorship, show commitment by paying ur tuition (even if it is just a full term) since ur 6m if no unexplain lumpsum can serve as living expenses and other miscellenous. Then show employment prospects letter from ur work place and use ur family if u are married as home ties if not ur parents and a bonf of return for job can be used as hometies aside propertises. Finally answer any previous visa rejection truthfully and state reasons in the IMM form and explain it well in ur LOE. Also mention each refusal reason in ur loe and how it has been tackled with documental evidences to corroborate ur story. |

O folla: Hello Everyone
Please I have a question that requires an urgent clarification.
My wife newly received a study visa approval, and myself and the children wish to travel to Canada as soon as possible. In fact, we plan to put in the application by next week. She is still in Nigeria and planning to travel in August for the fall intake. I plan to apply for SOWP, while the children will apply for study visas.
Meanwhile, in filling the family information form, she had indicated that no family member would accompany her to Canada. She had stated thus in order to use me and the children as home ties.
Now the question is: if the rest family members now apply to join her in Canada, would IRCC not consider this as amounting to misrepresentation? Could IRCC use the information in her family information form against us?
Do we have people here who had stated similar thing in their family information form, yet still got SOWP for the spouse and study visas for children?
Please do help a family!
Many thanks in anticipation. From my own experience although i have not travelled too but i want my spouse to apply for spousal work permit. See they can term it misrepresentation becos she indicated she wont travel with family so ur best bet is to let her travel thereby fulfilling her promise that she will come alone and as soon as she arrives ( even some gurus advises that after 1st semester) she can put your application. From my little knowledge which i acquired from inquiries from some gurus it is believed that she needs to include her study permit as well as her SIN in your application for SOWP and even if it is visiting visa there must be an invitation letter which must carry her canada home address. Haven said all this, even her SOP to support ur SOWP application must be emotional so that the VO can have some symphaty is handling the case. |

ToluDstar: Good evening everyone. Just wanted to say I just received my passport and the feeling is amazing. I sent it to Abuja through a two way courier via FedEx on Thursday 3rd June, 2021. It arrived Abuja at close of business on Friday 4th June, 2021 so it didn’t get to the embassy until Monday, 7th June, 2021. I received counterfoil on Wednesday 9th June, 2021 and LOI the next day 10/06/2021. FedEx picked up my package yesterday 10/06/2021 and it arrived my house this evening 11/06/2021. I recommend everyone to send their passports to Abuja for stamping as they are relatively more efficient than Lagos.
Goodluck everyone! I’m still on the thread tho, I no fit commot here
I’ll be back with my landing gist guys!
Cheers. congrats when are u travelling and to which point of entry? |

TennieYF: Please how long does it take to get a response if you send documents via web forms and emails? I sent mine yesterday and no response or acknowledgement. Also, how do you know which Visa office is handling your file? I sent to Nairobi, Lagos and London. Only London has replied that they are not the ones in charge of my case and I should send a web form which I have done. I sent some documents to be added to my application as I noticed that the ones I submitted were blurry, especially my bank statement. Would they honor this or respond? for question 1 i think 10days max. but one thing is sure they will send an acknowledgment mail to you since you sent then a document. 2. since you applied from nigeria the primary office that automatically handles your application is nairobi |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by skull4eva: 12:58pm On May 28, 2021 |
Ara2004: Its so worrisome and problematic. Especially we - March applicants, its as if they practically forgot everything about us. please note that its not that you have been forgotten when ur application is submitted it goes through a lot of checks and confirmation. let me paint a senerio Mr A submitted an application same day with Mr B but Mr A had attached too many documents which ideally will require to be confirmed one after the other by the VO processing the application and Mr B on the other hand submitted very few but essential documents for the same application to the same VO. Now Mr B is likely to get a response faster as all the documents can be verified shortly in no time. Aside this, many applicants submit 3 different statement of accounts and most banks respond to the mails from the embassy very slowly hence the need for my bank statement even at that the process is not as fast as expected. My advise for new applicant is keep it short and simple like my oga @vibrant 99 will say. attach essential documents to avoid making you application supporting documents cumbersome. You wont compare the speed of getting a final decision for an applicant with nigerian bank statement and an applicant with international bank details becos a VO sees every potential nigerian applicant as a fraud and at that would want to scrutinise well. note. This is based on my personal research Thanks. It will end in praises. |

Pls what should I do? I'm just tired of checking my application account, hoping something would pop up. Pls, help me with suggestions. Thank you send mail and webform to nairobi and tell then u have completed first year and school is moving to inperson classes by september and the deadline to make tuition payment is june (put specific date) and plead with them to expedite action. please note dont put the condition that ur program can be done online oo |
