folla: Hi everyone,
My SOWP application and SP applications for my 3 children were refused sometime in September 2021. I applied for GCMS notes on October 1st and received the notes today (December 11th). It took about 71 days for the notes to arrive.
The VO's main reasons for refusal have been quoted below:
“Adult male and 3 children intending to join spouse/parent in Cda, currently in status studying a Masters. I note that spouse’s application was submitted.
On that application, husband and 3 children were listed as non-accompanying.
No guarantee that either will find work to support themselves and 3 children. Given that all deps were listed as non-accompanying and that SP adult recently arrived in Cda, I question the truthfulness of that original statement. Entire family travelling together reduces socio-economic ties to Nigeria. On balance, reviewing all documents before me including information available in the original SP application for adult female, I am not satisfied that PA would respect T&C of entry and leave Cda by the end of an authorized stay.”
Please, GURUS in the house should suggest how I can tackle the refusal reasons.
Please, if you have found yourself in a similar situation, how did you come out?
Thank you in advance of your useful comments.
(Pls note: Wifey travelled to Canny since early Septemer 2021) Aside this, please you need to clarify something is your spouse on anh form of funding or is she paying her tuition herself becos i seem not to understand the work part the VO mentioned. Also did she use her family as home ties? |

Akannitommy: I am very sorry hearing about this because the VO's excuse is not valid unless your application was not watertight enough. I won't advise you to reapply without consulting an expert on this. I am not an expert so please don't contact me for this. There are two possible pathways here. A judicial review or a reapplication but in both cases you need an expert immigration consultant. Aside this, please you need to clarify something is your spouse on anh form of funding or is she paying her tuition herself becos i seem not to understand the work part the VO mentioned. Also did she use her family as home ties? |

According to her she used Lufthansa And was returned in germany The answer is yes i was denied boarding a month and 4days to my start of classes. My initial flight was 27th july to start classes 1st sept have to move the date forward with another 400k to august 3rd even at that turkish airline still wanted to send me back in instanbul until they got a feed back from their supposed CBSA for clearance |

chrysto: Naija will give you exit stamp, while Cotonou will give you entry . So you need both stamps . But if you are following street way, the bike men will take you through a route where those are not necessary. I think those stamps might be necessary just to proof that you actually stayed for 14days |

Jojorito007: Yesterday I decided to visit ABC transport at Mile2 to make inquiry about their Cotonou/Ghana route but I was told that they don’t ply the route for now. I went to mile2 ( close to the pedestrian bridge) I met some cars leaving to Cotonou,Lome and Ghana. They said Cotonou is 15k if I am going straight and Seme border is 4K and then I can take another car from Seme. My passport was going to be stamped at the ECOWAS office and Cotonou immigration. It was a good deal but I changed my mind about the whole trip when I saw the condition of the cars and knowing I’ll be going with 2 kids ages 6&3. My Cotonou mission is aborted for now. Infact I have decided to take a break from making any tra vel plan as I’ll be started exams next week. My exam will end on the 15th.. if nothing happens by then I can consider any other route. But a place I’ll definitely go by air not by road . Are you doing you program online from Nigeria? |

debbzJay: Hi everyone, I recently came into Canada on a student visa and would like to apply for my family to join me. Based on the current trend, applying for a visitors permit seems faster than applying for a sowp. Please what's the expected proof of funds to apply for visitors visa for my husband and 2 kids and can I also apply through the new link? Which province? All provinces except quebec requires 10k for you 4k for your hubby and 3k for each child making 20k cad. But for quebec 11k for you 5k for hubby, 4k each per child. 24k cad total |

mrbrodaman: Hey house, I apologize if this has been asked here before but is there an age limit for studying in Canada? can someone over 30 apply for a bachelors program in Canada or would the visa officers decline the application? Hmmmmm thats not advisable cos it is very dicey. What is the persons educational background? Bachelors in canada is btw ages 17 to 24 as far as i know. 30 is on the high side for bachelors becos the VO sees you as trying to escape. Another thing is do u have the funds to pay for 4years? Alot of loopholes is the course not available here and lots of questions like that. If you have alot of funds to cover tuition and living expenses for 1st year with a clear mapped out planned for how you will make payment next session (2nd year) then u can shoot your shot but i stand to be corrected its really not a adviceable though most especially if you ve got a degree before. If u have an OND, NCE or HND then u could try but mind you u need to show enough proof of funds in excess of 30k cad |

Akannitommy: Hello,
Please does anyone have an idea what happens if someone deferred admission (due to visa delay) just before they now got visa approval and didn't inform IRCC whether they will have issues upon landing or not? To clarify, this person got admission for Fall 2021 but deffer to Winter 2022 because of delay in the visa processing. But a few weeks/months later, they got the approval and issued visa. If they try to fly/land in Canada in December/January, are there any risks to this?
I have my own theory and have explained but just wanted to hear other views so we can be sure what their options are.
Thanks. No issues bros i had same issues too i got my visa in march after i withdrew from winter in january i differed to fall 2021 and didnt inform ircc and i can in august and no issues at all |

Akannitommy: Following yesterday's update, we received medical request at 5:00am (Canadian time) this morning for our son who applied for visitor visa, along with the family (SOWP for wife and Study permit for older siblings). Any tips/plugs/slots on how to achieve this quickly? NB: his visa type was due to his age (under 2 years) while the others passed their own medicals same week as the application was submitted back in May. Congrats brother i dey come downtown oooo for the celebration. Chai not easy. |

KellyKk: correspondence and PPR are always issued same day from my past experience and the approvals I have saw on this trend in past ! The moments correspondence is issued without ppr then it’s 20% chance of getting approve my thought though . No dear there are exceptions. My Correspondence came Feb 24 and my final decision of PPR didnt come until March 3rd after several mails and webforms even @awys experienced same and another moniker was two weeks. |

Iphiegrace: Coincidentally @EmeeNaka and I got correspondence this Friday and refusal on Sunday, we both submitted on the 30th of April, with same refusal reasons, obviously same visa officer.
Now tell me why I should not be mad, you put everyone in a box and issue same refusal reason, I feel cheated, robbed and unjustly treated honestly.
This is more painful than I thought, actually woke up again to cry it’s 2:20am.
Any suggestion on how to tackle this will really help... Sorry Just take heart I assure you I have been there. I was refused in my first application and got approved on the second infact i know of a moniker here that was denied four times and got approval on the fifth application. Canada isnt a bed of roses and people really really do work very very hard to earn their living but with all these it is still the best place to be. Like i call it the backyard of heaven. I will advise you apply for your GCMS note send it here let the elders and gurus advise you on how to go about it. Once that is done and you can give a corresponding LOE to back your claims with documental evidences that are rational and reasonable APproval is certain. Take Heart and refire. |

CountVersailles: No, it's not too early to travel. As long as he has his visa and a place to stay when he arrives Canada, nobody can tell him not to travel. Bros it is too early cos he must come in exactly one month to start of classes or less. That date is 5days more than a month airlines wont allow him board. Am a living proof to this. I was not allowed to board and i had to pay 409k to reschedule my date thanks to wakanow for the exorbitant date change price |

jogojogo: Please Please Please how do I book the flight? Previously it was to Toronto then after 3days quarantine to Manitoba Winnipeg, now that I am vaccinated do I need to go to Toronto or book a flight directly to Manitoba Winnipeg? U need to consider two major things 1. Is canada allowing direct flights at manitoba airport? Because i think they only opened 4 major airports montreal, toronto and two others. 2. Even if fully vaccinated, the rule still remains that a CBSA agent must clear you based on their rules that u are either hotel quarantine excempt or not. They will be the judge of that based on whether u are asymptomatic or based on several other factors surrounding the vaccine took and the card things. Haven said this, the govt also advises u have a quarantine plan incase the CBSA agent say u re not excempt. My advise is that you do all the needful, book toronto land there sort our port of entry things and take a connecting flight to manitoba. |
