I disagree with your first post. You need to know that not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a true Christian. Therefore the things they practice do not conform to true Christian standards. But because you define Christianity based on their practices, you get the wrong impression of Christianity. For example, my church doesn't advertise political candidates to vote for. They don't keep a record of who's tithing and who's not. They don't demand total allegiance, and they don't punish you if you don't obey their rules, except you're harming them (for example, an usher stealing offering money).
