@ abuzola quran 65:4, discrepancy no 1, Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy. after marrying a 9yr old another verse came to justify his actions and i thought you said a 9yr old was matured at the time but explain what the highlighted line means as there are 2 categories of women without courses (menses),children and pregnant women, and the chapter is about divorce.

2 quran 18:86, the sun entering murky waters shows that the earth is flat,: Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness."

here's the bible, Isaiah 40:22 (King James Version) 22It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

3.How many angels were talking to Mary? When the Qur'an speaks about the annunciation of the birth of Jesus to the virgin Mary, Sura 3:42,45 speaks about (several) angels while it is only one in Sura 19:17-21.

is it several, Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; or one She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

4 Sura 14:37, says Abraham lived in the valley of Mecca. The Bible says he lived in Hebron, Israel. (Genesis 13:18, 23:2, 35:27)

5 Suras 21:51-71; 37:97,98, says that Abraham was thrown into a fire [by Nimrod]. Nimrod and Abraham did not live at the same time. Muhammad was always mixing people together in the Qur'an who did not live at the same time. The Bible tells us Nimrod lived many centuries before Abraham

6 Suras 21:51-71; 37:97,98, says that Abraham was thrown into a fire [by Nimrod]. Nimrod and Abraham did not live at the same time. Muhammad was always mixing people together in the Qur'an who did not live at the same time. The Bible tells us Nimrod lived many centuries before Abraham

7 Sura 28:8-9, says is was Pharaoh's wife who adopted Moses. The Bible says it was Pharaoh's daughter.

Sura 9:10, incorrectly says Zacharias could not speak for only three days.

Sura 20:87, 95, says the Jews made the golden calf in the wilderness at the suggestion of Samaritans. There were no Samaritans at that time.

8 The Qur'an also incorrectly says Abrah's army was defeated by birds dropping stones on them. History says Abrah's army withdrew after smallpox broke out. It says; the Kabah was build by Adam and rebuilt by Abraham. It was built by pagans to worship a black rock that fell out of the sky. Abraham never lived in Mecca.

the bible contains both God's word and man's word, is left to you to sift through and know one from the other(you'll know the right one easily. Don't just read, study (study to shew thyself approved, rightly dividing the word of truth) and abuzola you still don't have any justification why marrying a 9yr is cool.
Religion / Re: The Story Of Moses: Bible And Quran' Be The Judge by sleek29(m): 3:34pm On Jul 13, 2009
Jesus the Christ (In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1:1, In Him(the word) was life and the life was the light of men(God's word gives wisdom, wisdom greater than the human mind, spiritual wisdom(phronesis).
if you read on you'll see that Jesus is that light(And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory 1:14,(the Word came in person not in revelations, books), the law was given through moses, but grace came through Jesus Christ.

Being a Christian means being like Christ, who is Christ (the Word of God in flesh, God's word is His mind, spirit), how do one become like that, simply fill yourself up with God's word, then you get to be filled with God's spirit, then you get to be like Christ (a partaker of His glory), you join the gathering of the saints, for whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son,that He might be the firstborn among many brethen (the church) romans 8:29.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE WORD(JESUS) WHICH IS THE LIGHT OF MEN THEN YOU'RE IN DARKNESS, TURN ON THE LIGHT TODAY ABUZOLA

@abuzola, tell me if the laws meant for one to marry 9yr olds and have so many wives, kill apostates, the only 2 laws Jesus gave us were; God is one, and love your neighbour as yourselves.
allah is an arabian moon god who has daughters and a wife named allat, or do you know of the other kaaba's in arabia?, he had a political plan, he saw how strong the christain faith was killing the customs of the quraysh tribe,he brought up a single allah by discarding 359idols in the kaaba and leaving one named allah.
Religion / Re: Big Calamity: Church Is Not Holy, According To The Bible by sleek29(m): 10:20am On Jul 13, 2009
@abuzola, can you beat that?, God resides in us and we make a place holy once we step in there. A church is not a building but a peculiar people, a gathering of the saints, i don't have to go as far as mecca to meet with God, He lives in me!!!, worship is done in Spirit, you worship something physically by bowing down before it because you can see it, you face the kaaba because its a physical place, but christains look inwards to worship God.
Religion / Re: The Story Of Moses: Bible And Quran' Be The Judge by sleek29(m): 8:50am On Jul 13, 2009
@abuzola, have you forgotten that there were christains in mecca durig mohammed's time, i know he just copied it or the devil told him, the devil knows scriptures too you know, and would you believe 1 man who claims to have received revelation, or more than 15 people who saw Jesus's resurrection, its easy for one man to deceive a lot but when it involves more than one, if its false it won't take so much time for one person to sell out, the apostles were persecuted, beaten, jailed, stephen was stoned to death still they pressed on, if it was false one of the would have told the truth, and then 2000 years later one paganistic fellow who wanted to unite all the numerous gods in arabia under one body actually knew he couldn't achieve that due to the rising christain faiths at that time came up with his own story of Jesus, he knew allah had daughters and so he tried to eliminate the notion that God had a son, he didn't have enough wisdom to understand the term ''Son of God''.

islam is a political force same as that started by constantine, who turned the roman catholic church to what it is today, i don't understand why muslims will have to base their whole life on what one man .one man brought up. and if you ask this same muslims why the so called prophet's father had the name abdallah and yet died a pagan, and even mohammed, they can't explain what exactly he was worshipping before he got his ''revelation'', revelation that made a man marry a 9yr old, had 11, 15 or more wives, took over slaves as wives, fought many wars, what sort of moral values can a womanizer have?, someone who doesn't believe in forgiveness.

COME TO CHRIST AND STOP READING ALL THATCRAP CALLED THE QURAN.
Religion / Re: Jesus And God ! Be The Judge by sleek29(m): 5:13pm On Jul 09, 2009
How many people were there when mohammed got the so called revelation as i know he was the only one in the cave, and if you must know there were eye witnesses when the Spirit of God descended like a dove and they all heard a voice ''this is my beloved Son in whom i'm well pleased'' and you keep quoting a verse you read the whole book and understand fully,  ''Then Jesus answered and said unto them, ''Most assuredly, i say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He (the Father) does, the Son also does in like manner'' John 5:19, its another way of saying the Son and the Father can't be doing different things at the same time (perfect unison), he can't be doing this and the other doing that, perfect oneness, same likeness, mirror reflection of the Father, because He carried God's Spirit around and was in sync with God's Spirit, when he spoke , its because God spoke.

and for chapter 6:38 of the same book of John'' For i have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of Him who sent me''
next verse '' This is the will of the Father who sent me, that of all he has given Me i should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day''
next verse '' And this is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and i will raise him up at the last day (didn't take time to read to know that will)

and then read verse John 6:45 till the end you'll see that your lack of wisdom was also showed by the jews who thought he meant the should eat his flesh and drink is blood in real terms
''this is a hard saying; who can understand it?, said the disciples'' (so your reaction doesn't surprise me)
John 6:60

''the words i speak are spiritual and they are life'' verse 63 (you can't know Jesus with a carnal mind )
stop opening new threads with the same questions that i have answered more than 10 times already ,you have refused to answer or explain why a man would marry a 9 yr old which is true and has no form of justification for that answer, lets say the thighing issue is still controversial,  but the truth remains that he married a 9yr old had 11 women not wives because a polygamist has lots of women, as lust is the main motivation for that kind of behaviour, the fake theory that DNA has disproved, killing of whoever leaves islam, so many disheartening ways of mohammed all in the hadith, and the quran trying to tell us the earth was flat, the same chapter 18:86 narration about alexander the great was found in history books, i know Mohammed to be someone who travelled a lot (caravans) obviously met a lot of people, learnt greek philosophies (what they now shout as scientific miracles in the quran), they were scientific thoughts of Greeks long before mohammed, and the lie that he could read or write hear is what makes that a glaring lie to make us think he didn't learn from the Greeks, christains, and jews of that time;

Hadith 4:393

Narrated Said bin Jubair:

that he heard Ibn 'Abbas saying, "Thursday! And you know not what Thursday is? After that Ibn 'Abbas wept till the stones on the ground were soaked with his tears. On that I asked Ibn 'Abbas, "What is (about) Thursday?" He said, "When the condition (i.e. health) of Allah's Apostle deteriorated, he said, 'Bring me a bone of scapula, so that I may write something for you after which you will never go astray.'The people differed in their opinions although it was improper to differ in front of a prophet, They said, 'What is wrong with him? Do you think he is delirious? Ask him (to understand). The Prophet replied, 'Leave me as I am in a better state than what you are asking me to do.' Then the Prophet ordered them to do three things saying, 'Turn out all the pagans from the Arabian Peninsula, show respect to all foreign delegates by giving them gifts as I used to do.' " The sub-narrator added, "The third order was something beneficial which either Ibn 'Abbas did not mention or he mentioned but I forgot.'

he could in fact write which meant he could read.

simple, its both spiritually and physically wrong to say the sun entered murky waters, how can you see the sun enter murky waters, it means, at that time they all thought the earth was flat and so it seemed like a right thing to say, only for a man called Pythagoras to find out the truth and by the way science does agree with trinity. in man (body, soul and spirit), in atoms(protons, neutrons, electrons).

Jesus is lord, and the trinity is true (tri-unity), its not to be understood with a carnal mind as that same mind makes men become atheists, if you really want to know who Christ really is study the word and meditate on it pray for answers on questions raised, but all you do is read it, to someone without a scientific background, scientific theories would sound stupid to him if he only reads but doesn't study it in detail, abuzola just reads he shows the wisdom of the flesh, the kind showed by Nicodemus who was a big religious cleric at the time who thought being born again meant to go back into one's mother's womb, and abuzola thinking trinity means one. we know atoms to be the smallest particles of a chemical element that still exhibit all the chemical properties unique to that element.(and its comprised of protons, electrons and neutrons), its 3-in-1, the atom has every property that the element has. the human body is composed of the body, soul and the spirit, that won't make me call 1 person 3 persons. that analogy can best explain the trinity

the trinity is this God, the Word (Son), the Holy Spirit and its one ,in unison cant understand it with the human mind,

@ abuzola,John 17: 20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25" Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."

Matthew 15: 1-9 :

1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees (the scribes and pharisees came to Jesus) , which were of Jerusalem, saying, 2 Why do thy disciples transgress (disobey) the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. 3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress(disobey) the commandment of God by your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death (would reap what he sowed i.e his children would do the same to that child). 5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free(it means; any child who serves God and does that by disobeying his parents(his parents dont want him to serve God) shall be free of his children disobeying him). Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition(they had always cursed any child( to suffer the same fate) who disobeyed). 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men i.e putting them to death wasn't what the prophet meant as it was fabricated by men.

Die the death (Jesus), put to death means two different things, the first means suffer the same consequences the other means to be put to death, for instance, a child who curses his parents to die would also get the same from his children, or a child who beats up his parents will reap it too.
And i know Jesus who stopped the killing of an adulterer won't support the killing of anyone.
before you post anything, read, meditate, before drawing conclusion, bible passages can mean different things to different people.

@ olabowale, The Setting of the Sun

One of the questions which puzzled the ancient Arabs was, "Where did the sun go when night time came?" The Qur'an gave them Allah's answer.

He [i.e. Zul-qarnain] followed, until he reached the setting of the sun. He found it set in a spring of murky water.
(Surah XVIII ( Kahf) vs. 85-86)
We agree with Muslim scholars that Zul-qarnain refers to Alexander the Great (see Yusuf Ali's appendix on this subject in his translation of the Qur'an). According to this surah, Alexander the Great traveled west until he found out what happened to the sun. It went down into and under the murky waters of a pond. When it was completely covered by the water, darkness fell upon the earth.

To the early Muslims, this surah gave the divine answer as to why darkness fell when the sun set in the West. They assumed that the sun, like the moon, was the size perceived by the human eye, about the size of a basketball. Darkness came when with a mighty hissing roar it went down under the dark waters of a pond. They boldly and proudly proclaimed that this marvelous answer proved that the Qur'an was indeed the Word of God.

Today, modern Muslims are quite embarrassed by this passage and try to ignore it or to quickly dismiss it as poetry. But the passage is not part of a poem. Thus it cannot be dismissed as figurative language or poetic license. In the context, it is part of a historical narrative which relates several historical incidences in the life of Alexander the Great.

The mistake was based on the erroneous assumption that the earth was flat. The authors of the Qur'an did not know that the earth was a sphere which revolved around the sun.

i'll keep posting it everywhere until you explain why mohammed thot the earth was flat , THANK GOD FOR PYTHAGORAS

hahaha, if you have a 6yr old sister or daughter you can give her to me to ''thigh'' and then rape her at nine, if a 9 yr old was mature, explain to me how a 9yr old in your thick skull would be mature enough and your so called theory , even if a girl is okay to have sex with, is that the only thing you muslims see women as? She's ripe for sex,is she ripe (does she have the mental maturity) for marriage?, someone who still played with dolls, explain, he (mohammed) at 53 was old enough to be her grandfather, please you in your right senses know he just lusts after women including young girls

Hadith 1:268

Narrated Qatada:

Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, "Had the Prophet the strength for it?" Anas replied, "We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men)." And Sa'id said on the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives only (not eleven).

A man who is seen as a role model by so many blind muslims had 11 women he slept with his mistresses all day(what time did he have to preach) because the only other thing he did was go to war.

He never preached, all he did was write letters to kingdoms to accept islam or face the consequences(invasion).

9. He was superstitious about many things and made up weird rules about bathroom duties (Bukhari vol. 1, no. 144; vol. IV, nos. 110, 111; vol. VII, nos. 636, 648, 649, 650; Muslim vol. I, no. 458; vol. III, 3 nos. 5424, 5427)

10.  He was afraid whenever a strong wind blew (Bukhari vol. II, no. 144) and of eclipses (Bukhari vol. II, no. 167).i have witnessed one in my life.

and so many more, how can i live a life like this, its totally insane.
Religion / Re: 50,000 Errors In The Bible by sleek29(m): 9:49am On Jul 06, 2009
Jehovah's witness is not a Christian denomination ,

Don't Worry About Hell
Jehovah's Witnesses -- What Do They Believe?
Issue Date: May/June 1985
They offer a cunning mixture of Scripture verses and "almost" Christian doctrines. Their approach, like that of the Mormons, is to stress elements of their doctrine which avoid controversy. The rest comes later.

But they are an "organization" of slaves, working desperately to "earn" eternal life. They seek salvation, not by grace, but by becoming "Kingdom Publishers."

They don't have a personal relationship with Christ (who they say is not God), but rather they observe a system of law and works.

They devote their attention to an all-encompassing fascination with prophecy, and the "vindication of God's sovereignty." They believe:

Jehovah God existed from the beginning. His first creations were two angels, Michael (who later becomes Jesus) and Lucifer. Jehovah God created all else through his firstborn, Jesus (Michael).

Jehovah appointed Lucifer to watch over earth, but the angel became jealous of Jehovah. He seduced Adam and Eve, and became Satan. He dared challenge Jehovah's right to rule! Jehovah gave Satan 6,000 years to try to win over all humanity. When he fails, Jehovah God will re-establish his kingdom and destroy Satan and all his rebellious followers, thus vindicating Jehovah's name (an obsession with Witnesses).

After thousands of years of this struggle, Jehovah God arranged for Michael to cease to exist and be recreated as Jesus, a human. He was killed as a ransom on a torture stake (not a cross) for all mankind. This released men from Adam's sinful legacy, and gave them a chance to be worthy of eternal life, if they were faithful Witnesses.

When the human Jesus died, he stayed dead. He was recreated as a spirit (no bodily resurrection) and lives in heaven.

Jesus Christ (now Michael) returned to earth invisibly in 1914 (the date has been changed repeatedly) and is working through his "Organization" to re-establish Jehovah's kingdom over the earth.

The final battle between Jehovah and Satan, the Battle of Armageddon, is to start shortly, settling the question, "Who will rule earth?" A very special 144,000 Witnesses, the only ones considered "born again," will rule with Jesus in heaven at the end of this battle. All other Witnesses (numbering millions) will survive Armageddon, and live forever on earth, in the kingdom of the "New World."

After 1,000 years of this utopian Kingdom comes the final test. Satan will be loosed for a while and deceive many. He and those who rebel with him will be destroyed by fire from heaven (no eternal hell, just quick annihilation). Jehovah's sovereignty over all creation will have been vindicated once and for all.

While many Christians disagree on the order of final events, there can be no disagreement on the work of Christ, or one is not really Christian. J.W.'s bear the indelible mark of a cult: they claim Christ's death on the cross is not sufficient for full salvation. One must believe that Jesus is God, and also in His bodily resurrection. Both are denied by the Witnesses.

In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses deny most of the basic doctrines of Christianity. Former Witnesses point out several basic denials:

They claim:

Jesus Christ is not God. Rather, he is Michael the archangel.
The Holy Spirit is not a person, but an "active force." J.W.'s are unitarians, denying the Trinity.
When you're dead, you're dead. Man has no eternal soul, any more than animals.
Jesus Christ was not raised bodily from the grave, but was recreated as a new "spirit body."
Jesus returned invisibly in 1914. There is no "visible coming" planned in the future.
There is no hell. Just like animals, when we die, it is over.
Only 144,000 people achieve heaven. The rest, faithful Witnesses who have died, will be recreated on earth during the kingdom of the "New World."
Focusing on the Old Testament, their system is a legalistic one. They forbid blood transfusions (they say that is eating blood). They also consider any salute to a flag as worship of that flag, and therefore prohibited. They don't vote, hold public office or serve in the military.

Consumed with preparing for a "New World," they know nothing of "New Life" in Jesus Christ.
