if igbo women are supposedly expensive, then find the cheap girls in other tribes. Must everything be a problem in this Nairaland!!!? Haba!

I am an igbo girl. I am demanding towards myself and I am demanding toward my professors to make lectures clear and I demand that my guy treats me well. If you don't like me, then bounce!!!
CultureRe: There Can Never Be Gender Equality. by slimfine(f): 9:42pm On Jan 02, 2009
@poster

you wrote your opinion knowing fully well that, that statement is incorrect. what a man can do, a woman can do best.

it is all about division of roles to have a progressive society and family. A man is suppose to be a head of the family but women can equally fill into this and many more role and do so perfectly well (single parent families).

the only role that is deemed a man's that a woman cannot do is "provision of sperm" but you never know, with new technology, we might be able pull that off!!!!

RomanceRe: Should I Go To Nigeria And Marry Or Should I Marry Here In Europe? by slimfine(f): 4:18am On Jan 01, 2009
Maybe europe is different. here in the US; is not like that oooo. Men rarely want to go home to marry unless he can't find somebody here or he has known the girl befor. some men/women who went home to bring a mate regreted it becuase these men/women want to get out naija and will do anything to fulfill that dream. when these girls gets here, their expections are nothing to write home about.
granted, there may be some girl who may be irresponsible in Europe/US but so are some girls in naija. there some decent girls here in the US who work their tale off to make a living. in Washington where I live, all (I mean All) the young girls and guys here are eaither graduates or go to school as well as work full time. we know ourselves and we are proud of what we have achieved and what we are yet to achieve. So you people should stop tanishing abroad naija women abeg!!!!

@Igwe-USA

Hey I am majoring in Pharmacy. some school need me to take Biochem class and some don't so I decided not to take it becuase the amount was quite expensive and yes UW Biochem Professors are crazy!!!. I was not even able to ask questions in class meaning that I had to got to the TA session which was time consuming since I work full time. Oh well, I am looking into schools that do not require BC. most likely California!

Ebukahuh?? (thinking) are you new in Seattle. I am Adaobi

Naija Inde party, Last one i attended was in Seattle, used to live in Seattle, attended UW 04. I don't think i met u guys, I searched and looked for Nigerians online but the few responses i got back showed that people thought i was a 419, lol, Well i didn't know any better then trying to use the internet to connect to fellow naija that lived around.
@cabali - Yeah i doubt if 500,000 Nigerians will go home at once,  I know we are many and it is not really an unrealistic number considering how Nigerians travel during festive period. However the source is a suspect.
are you Ugochukwu, Nnamdi's friend? I am just guessing but who do you know in seattle?
