12c doesn't have split screen but….. You can tweak it by downloading quicksetting.

Or update to android 13 miui14

June 2023, Redmi 12c was delivered to me by Jumia. When the cost of it was finalized, the excitement of getting a cheap, good phone in 2023 was surreal.
I tweaked it to have split screen, and months later an OTA update to Android 13 miui14.
