django1: So when you ask for my name and I tell you 'kunle' instead of 'adekunle' I have given you a totally different name?

What exactly did you find wrong in my post, please shed more light so I can respond.
If you tell me your name is Kunle,I(emphasis on that) naturally would ask for the full meaning.
"Kunle" means "Full house".
Does that make sense to you?but is "Ola" or "Ade" is prefixed to it,it'll mean "Weath has filled the house" or "Crown had filled the house" which gives real meaning.
"Dehinde" makes no sense if we don't know what has "dehinde".
It could be "Ola" or "Iku" or "Ifa"

Gerrit?
Yem Yem, let's lay down what we know about some things. ...if you want to create something to help protect others, why on earth will you make that thing to cause them harm? What is the point of designing something to protect victims if the victims will still suffer? If the woman is still gonna have to have surgery in her abunna to gerrit out, what help has the condom provided? Is that logical?

Now if one is aware of how female condoms work and is also aware that this new twist to it is meant for additional protection not cause harm....why ask if the women will need surgery to get it out? Shouldn't the logical assumption be that this particular product will work like before only with jara (i. e the fangs that will hook the raapist's abunga which will require him to have surgery)

I mean really. cheesy cheesy
Its not logical to assume here as the concept in itself is kinda ridiculous.
Does one prepare oneself to be molested? Can one predict when such occurences might occur?Would one even remember(amongst other issues to worry about) to wear this thing even in an environment where molestation cases abound?

The only logical thing is to ask questions.Maybe if the article had described this new invention as something that attacks the unwanted pehnis as soon as the lady starts to struggle and scream, there won't be the question I asked.tongue
I am not gonna front or try to save face for not knowing about female condoms because it doesn't mean I lack knowledge on other forms of birth controls and issues alike and If this is supposed to be the ultra judging criteria of someone's intelligence and uberness.....then stick a label on me and call me DUMBO. grin grin
Relax Sisi,it just shows that you've been thought highly ofsmiley and especially since female condoms have been around a while, its assumed you'd know.cool
We are just messing with you.

django1: You must be having a laugh!

Let me break it down for you, yorubas usually shorten their names on occasion, like someone popular called 'kunle' is actually either 'olakunle' or 'adekunle' or whatever.
With or without the 'ola' the meaning of the name is still the same. Which can be roughly translated as 'wealth came back'
So much Rubbish!!!

Its safe to keep quiet on issues you don't have thorough knowledge of.
The name is not the same without the prefix.Infact,it makes no sense without the prefix!
Get your facts rigt mister!

shymexx: What's there to be patriotic about in Nigeria, anywayhuh

Perhaps, you need to worry more about your fedora hat wearing president with the most comical English names ever - and let the inconspicuous and cultured man be...

My first name is Chinese and my last name is Japanese - have you got a problem with that as well?? undecided undecided
Its not my problem that you don't know or see what's there to be patriotic about Nigeria. However,a saying goes thus.."Naani naani naani, ohun a ni laa'n naani".
Oops! How would you even know what that means?tongue
Are you a Nigerian?
If you like have German or Romanian names,as long as you haven't been publicly profiled a Nigerian,I have no questions, concerns or comments!
Go away Shymmex.
You have no point!!
Alright let's cut the crap. ...if one is aware of female Condoms and how they work, why the need to ask how this particular one works? Surely it won't be totally illogical to assume it worked the same way?
This particular one has fangs/teeth and the way it's described to work isn't the way the conventional one works(at least that one doesn't come off with the pehnis.tongue)
Its never been heard of.Its not illogical to ask questions on this particular design.

FamilyRe: Women: Have U Secured Your Future? by slimyem: 9:21pm On Mar 30, 2013
obowunmi: what's wrong with a man marrying a second wife? NOTHING.

If the man at hand was RICH, built her a dream house, she won't be complaining. Many RICH men have more than one partners/and the women know about each other. The woman needs to bring it down a notch and better learn how to manage the situation.
@bolded...shocked shocked You have played into my hands.Thank God i saw this!tongue

@the other part of your post...I kind of agree.I don't think women who are married to RICH husbands really have to worry about "their futures" especially if they have been satisfied and established materially by the man.
This has more to do with average families or women who have struggled with their husband from when there was nothing and all the blah.undecidedThere's usually no more security the moment another woman comes into the picture.cool
FamilyRe: Anti-molestation Condoms: Reprieve For The Ladies by slimyem: 8:59pm On Mar 30, 2013
Isn't this like oyibo "magun"?
The article says if the JT gets stuck in the girl's poosay, its going to have to be removed by surgery so isn't this to say the surgery will be performed on both of them or is the condom going to come off as soon as its teeth is stuck on the man's sointin?
I don't gerrit!!
CelebritiesRe: Antonio Oladeinde-Fernandez: Nigeria's Reclusive Billionaire by slimyem: 8:45pm On Mar 30, 2013
shymexx: And this is coming from someone who probably voted for a president with two English names, no?? Isn't your president's name, GOODLUCK JONATHAN??

Also, how many of those with Nigeria names living in Nigeria are actually Nigerian?? Most bear Nigerian names, but can't speak the language(s) nor understand/relate to the culture... However, you have a problem with a man who's a thorough bred African - just because his first and last names aren't African names, no?? Get a life, slimyem! undecided undecided
Thank you for your emphasis on "probably" in which case you don't really know.undecided
Moreso,It is quite understandable if a Nigerian has an English or biblical name because we were colonized by the english and we are religious people. The portuguese name is what i can't relate to as i was wonder why anyone would hold on to it especially because of its slavery
link.
I also don't just have a problem with just the man's name.I have a problem with what he represents.Maybe if he had come across as one who was patriotic, his name wouldn't be so much of a thing to brood about. Its more of sentiments than logic.
Besides,I wasn't crucifying him for it."I'd have thought" was my opening line on the issue.
Get off my back and get a life shymmex!!tongue

shymexx: Can't you see his middle name is "Oladeinde?"

And how do yo know he really doesn't want so much to do with the country?? Are you a psychic or a mind readerhuh

I still don't why you lot attach so much importance to name... You need to worry more about his outlook to life than his name, to be honest... There are millions of people with Africa names, yet they're everything but African...

This man made his money in Africa, dresses African, probably lives in Africa, was a UN ambassador for an African country, loves the culture and tradition etc. what else do you want him to dohuh Get a tattoo of NIGERIA on his face?? GTFOHWTBG!! undecided undecided
His middle name counts for nothing. His first and last name are his most important identity.
Besides,I don't need to be a psychic to know he doesn't want so much to do with the country. His accounts doesn't exactly portray him as patriotic or a lover of his people.
Even a dumb person can see that.

I don't care what he has been for Africa or who he has represented.Fact remain Nigeria is his primary roots and apparently it doesn't count for much with him.
You GTFOHWTBG(whatever that means) too!!

naptu2: Many Lagos brazilian returnees have portuguese names (perreira, ferreira, da-silva, da-rocha, etc.). Adeyemo Alakija was once known as Placido Asumpcao.

The first I heard of Deinde Fernandez was in the 1980s when i found out that he owns Tower Fernandez on Berkley Street (close to Tafawa Balewa Square).
Oh well...
I would have expected he change his name to something more Nigerian but reading all that about him,he doesn't sound like one who really wanted so much to do with the country.
I would never have thought an "Antonio Fernandez" could be a Nigerian until now...

bookface: It's about the most bizarre scenes of amebo I have seen in my life. You pried into a strangers phone conversation and you think you have a right to be angry at the subject of discussion? What the hell! What an unpleasant human being!

I for one would have made sure the dude had the most unpleasant flight experience of his life i had caught him sneeking through my phone.

He somehow made it sound like being an old man is enough excuse to be untidy and also as if being young somehow meant you must endure long haul flights with an unpleasant smell as long as the person sitting next to you is old.
