President Buhari finally addressed Nigerians on Monday morning after he came back from his medical vacation in London.

In his first video message after over 105 days, Nigerians rated President Muhammadu Buhari's speech low over inability of him to give details of issues and activities in the last 100 days.

Political analysts say they expected the President to give more details about the country especially if he has a clean bill of health.

Former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili has rated President Muhammadu Buhari's speech as a terrible case of missed opportunity, from the citizen's point of view.

"The content is very dry, uninspiring, on-the-surface and superficial. Nothing as to the state of the nation economically, all the non-existent energy was expended on irresponsible elements and the social media", Damilola Okin said.

Here are some of the issues the President failed to address:

1. No discussion on Nigerian economy so far and not a single stamp of Osinbajo's efforts so far

2. The President failed to give hope to the striking academic staff union – ASUU

3. The President shunned cabinet reshuffle as being speculated in various quarters

4. No words on the hyenas and jackals his wife said he will soon come and remove from the government.

5. No statement on his health status as Nigerians need to know the his status and whether the president will go back soon or not.

6. We do not know whether the Presidency has transmitted a letter to the National Assembly for change of baton and his full resumption or we need to take few days to rest.

7. The speech was recorded and may signal another discussion on the clean bill of health of the President.

The fact that you have a new president doesn't mean the previous admins are not responsible for the decisions they or any part of their government made.

Which one is more costly; trying to fix the rot in oeder to alliviate the difficulties people are facing or sitting back and apportioning blames while the masses suffer...?

The major problem we have in governance in Nigeria is "continuity and discontinuity" while every leader is coming in with new policies, they most of the times tend to dump even the policies that favoured the masses that were implemented by the past administrations...

OK lemme c if I understand u so that we can be on the same page, you are saying that since he took the decision under GEJs tenure GEJ by extension should be liable for his decision. if that is correct then let me remind u that the act setting up nerc gives it a certain level of independence in decision making and its decisions do not necessarily need to be approved by the prez. the former nerx chair gave details of how decisions are reaches and it is collectively done by all nerc commissioners not just him alone.

GEJ is a person and the seat of the president is completely different...
The decision was taken by the seat of the president and not by GEJ as a person...
GEJ came and went, but the seat of the president remains...

If a decision was taken by the president last 10yrs doesn't mean the president now cannot be held liable for it...

My point is that if someone takes a decision without the approval of the president (regardless of who is in the seat) then such a person should be jailed...


NB: its you that keep bringing the name of GEJ into this...
He is just an individual that happened to occupy the seat of the president and that is why if the decision is no longer favourable, the person(s) complaining ought to approach the next person occupying the seat and not apportion blames...
Its simple logic which most of the masses don't understand and then gullible politicians use it against us in order to gain favoritism...
