symbianDON:I have sent series of email, no response. |
I subscribed to Netflix and later deactivated the account but I am still seeing periodic deduction from my banks head office quoting Netflix in the narratives. I have contacted my Bank, GTB and there not been a single response regarding this. It does not take me anything to close the account but this is almost the 4th month that money have been leaving the account in the name of Netflix. The worst part is that my wife suffers same thing. What offence have we committed against these people? I made a hotel reservation in the Central London and later called them for cancelation when I saw the surge on Corona. Gentlemen and ladies, the charge for half of my expected period of stay was deducted from my account. When I contacted them again they said there are mere agents, that property owner did not agree to write off necessary charges. I cried and consoled myself. I brought in this extra incident to narrate how we are suffering in the hands of these oyibo people, and when they come here we treat them like a second god. Anyone with useful suggestion on the Netflix thing should pls reply here. Thanks |

I was just thinking about general hygiene habits of the inhabitants of temperate and polar regions where the covid-19 pandemic is rampant. My experience is that the cold could make one not take his bath for a couple of days. This could be partly responsible for the exponential increase in the rate of contracting this virus in these regions. |
sarrki:which means he married very late for him to best man Onyeama's wedding. BTW, from some sources, Onyeama has the temerity; Abba recommended him to Buhari. Some questions on my mind: I sighted the chopper that brought his body on Thursday around 5pm. Why didnt the said chopper fly straight to Maiduguri his country home for a befitting African burial? Gudu cemetery looks so desolate and quite unkempt , quite unbefitting of a man in Abba's status. If you argue that that Muslims do not accord much reverence to their dead I will prove you quite wrong in a thousand ways. And mind you that burial was a mere formality. Kemi Olunloyo may not be completely right but guys wake up and ask necessary questions. How many policemen, soldiers or NCDC personnel did you see enforcing the social distancing rules and stuff like that at the burial site. Brethren, a man in Abba's status cannot be buried that way and secondly, the Federal Government would be heavily involved with substantial security and health paraphenelia. If Abba's corona stricken body was flown into abuja, come on what we saw as burial was just a cloak. Again the secrecy sorrounding his treatment until death was quite uncalled for. Both Prince Charles and Boris Johnsons' treatments where made known to the public till they gained full recovery. And then he will die on Friday and get hurried on Friday because he's a Muslim? Common guys think again. There are then further facts deducible from all these. He died a while ago and his body was cremated in utmost secrecy. They looked at the implication of letting the public know this and realized it would be absolutely misunderstood despite the health necessity and decided to form a phoney burial at Gudu cemetery. Let's look at Gudu cemetery bit. I often pass this cemetery each time I am going to Apo mechanic village to do my car and always wondered the caliber of people that are buried there. I then became curious. I found out that even top military personnel are not buried there alone a man in Abba's status. They cemetery has got no ornamental plants or plaques containing epitaphs or beautiful tomb demarcations just like Ikoyi cemetery where ordinary Da Grin was buried. Did you see the ambulance and moto cade and how professional the burial men on PPE were, with a Federal Government corpse? A top government functionary in Abba's status that died in active service? No No performance of any national ritual like presentation of writ or adornment with national flag as would be done for a private soldier that died in the line of duty? Guys we are not dumb! Then what sort of grave was that? Were they bury in a stillborn child whose mother also died in tedious labour? I will stop here. May Abba rest well wherever he is! |
dobrinswizzy:before or during this lockdown? |
Facebook introduces account memorization where a setting entrusts ones Facebook account on someone else's care to manage in times of death. This is coming in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.
|
MadeBoy:After enough straffing with hope that lockdown will end and she will leave. Now its extended. In understand you plight but the whole thing sound like my experience in the high school. Nauraland full of kids these days. Kai |
They have started ripping Nigerians off with extraneous data charges. Kindly help state the service providers with the best data charges within this trying times of the country. You may wish to give us a front page on this. This will not demarket any brand because advanced countries subsidize these things within this period while in Nigeria, its time for their own pound of flesh. It is most worrisome because, the industry is in the category of services exempted from the national freeze. And they continue to rake in huge profits despite the lockdown. Why would it be difficult to help people in this critical moment when their services are needed most after they have ripped us dry in the past. Kindly give us front page. Enough of this hypocrisy! |
porthouse7:Can you shut upppp? |
My cousin is yet in big dilemma. He currently works for a not-for-profit in Nigeria and earns about 500k net. He just got a scholarship to study phd History studies (can't remember the actual combination) in a US university. He is married with 3 kids below 10 years. Wife is an enterpreneur. Should he leave this job for the PhD? |
Guys how are you get8ng on requesting for I-20 in this pandemic period. Is anyone applying yet for visa interview dates for Falls resumption? |
abdullahi45:why is it selling in Pounds, thought its a French car? |
Do this while you are indoors observing the shutdown due to the pandemic. You do not necessarily need the blood of anything but olive oil. After prayers smear the oil on two sides of your door posts especially the outside ones, as commanded and say "let the angel of destruction passover us" or whichever way you want to say this as commanded. I have done my bit. Thanks |
MayenKudi:Best in donation for the Covid-19 fight or what? |
Idyllic:my brother is a public health professional who had been denied both B1 and F-1 visa for not being able to establish family ties to a foreign country outside US. I am wondering if I should sell this idea to him. In fact his last denial was so "embarrassing" (he is a rookie, this may not qualify as embarrassment generally) that I needed to call him after he narrated his ordeal with the VO. He was sitting motionless, saying he's ashamed of himself to have failed ordinary visa I interview. Check moniker for the transcript of his interview at the Travel section. |
OtemAtum:modified |
Mosminic:same with what he said: if what he saved could not push him further, he's ready to return. Thats what he said. |
Mosminic:he held it in case, afterall no harm having mire than enough. He was expectedly asked what happens if the funding stopped. And he said he had some savings to push him further, the the bank statement was demanded. |
Mosminic:why did the VO say he was preaching her when all was did was explanations? And taking his bank statement in and spending Tim before coming back yo her window is also suspicious . |
Mosminic:No deficit. Not a penny. He even supplied evidence of personal funds |
Are there no prophets in this land. Kindly coordinate prayers amongst the faithfuls. Thee are so much for God to say. God wants to address us on this Pandemic. |
Hi guys, I need your advise on this product called mega fertile. Had anyone used it? It is for pregnancy and the claims are quite huge. I intend to buy it and would need son advise or testimonial from anyone that has used it. |
codeline:He is on a full funding |
Mosminic:in Nigeria of course. I tried to be brief. He is very smart. Why do we arrogate so much infallibility to the VOs? |
oracle009:Congratulations. What is the value of your studentship? I guess cost of living in Ohio will be way too low for the funding to be all encompassing . |
And my brothers visa interview for F-1 visa went thus: Bro: Good morning ma'am VO: good morning, hand in your passport and I-20 Bro: sure, complied VO: why do you want a PhD in the US Bro: standard of education, a and then better jib prospects etc (he is a pro, he did justice to this question ) VO: What are your duty schedules and how are they linked to the PHd., ..... Bro: I give veritable advise that inform top government policies. I am also a lecturer in ABC Uni where my promotion has been stalled for want of a PhD ... VO: you don't have to preach me, you only have to tell me what you do. You are preaching me. Hand in your account statment. Bro: yes ma'am , he submits it VO: goes through it and apparently got glued to a part. She walks away into the inner office, spent lose to 5 mins surprisingly and back, a few click on the computer and then sorry, you are not eligible this time bla bla |
valarmorghulis:when he doesnt know if he will survive corona |
Xisnin:like seriously, living together and making babies is common law marriage. Chai Nairaland I'm sure you got this concept from something like this. But you should have read further down.
|
Xisnin:which law. There is presumption of cohabitation which works in times of civil liabilities of either party. This is not marriage under law. |
Remijuice:First you didnt say whether the kids are minors or otherwise. They are simply illegitimate under law and could only be legitimised by a subsequent marriage of the parents. The parent can go separate ways without legal tussle. If the children have attained majority age, ie 18 and above, they can chose who to go with. If they are below, the woman will reasonably have custody except there are vitiating elements that will prove her Inappropriate. The customary and magistrates courts can entertain such cases of custody of illegitimate children but those are still what they will determine. |
