I don't mean not getting married but honestly speaking, a lot of Nigerians don't know they have a role to play in the society by raising kids that can lead a whole country!

But what do we have today? Kids who are more interested in stupid things like gossip online, celebrities, smart phone addicts that do not understand that same smart phone can liberate them out of poverty..., youth who lay their life for old politicians, Kim Kardashian wanna be and forking whatnot.

This is why I am not fit marry any girl I see... Because finding that one that is intelligent enough to see her societal role as a parent is like looking needle in hay sack.

The earlier we start raising kids to lead not just their nuclear family but a tribe and nation, which often require above average, the better for us.

It goes beyond just paying school fees. I was reading on nairaland this year how a boy didn't attend classes despite the fees being paid. When I was a kid, my friends mother always made sure he did his home work. She does enough to monitor his academic performance. That is what I am talking about.

It goes beyond forking and birthing kids. We already close to 200Million population wise. But much of the problem the Nigeria is facing today is due parental failure, it is a charity that begun at home.

Nigerians are so selfish and self centered that they get married all for the sexual excitementz love and cuddling between couples, so much that little or no room is left for making sure a child that any society can proud of is birthed and raised.

Marriage alone is not an achievement like many think.

I am looking at the big picture because I am not a small thinker.

A lot of us do not even have the financial power to feed 2 mouths, let alone feed 3. I know some persons who borrowed money just to get married. Some looking for 10k just fix one or two things for family.

All I am saying is make sure are well equipped for the journey. You have a role to play in nation building, not just family building.

Don't get in because others are doing it. Don't get in because of your fantasies, there is HUGE difference between dreaming and reality.

Some peeps do not know that the same internet they so love to peruse can fetch them constant source of income. I quit my 9-5 tedious job to focus on my writing. I don't regret it.

In a nutshell, I am trying to secure my future. I want my kids and husband to be proud of me.
