Religion / Re: The New STD That Pastor Adeboye Promised Us For 2016 by sofadj(m): 2:45pm On Dec 22, 2016 |
Zika virus. Yes it has been around for a while. Before now it was thought that Zika could only be transmitted through the bites of mosquitoes. Not until this year(2016) that it was discovered to be sexually transmitted. The fact that it is sexually transmitted changes the dynamics of the disease and how it can be controlled and scientists are still in shock to realize this. https://www.cdc.gov/zika/transmission/sexual-transmission.html Look at this headline by National Geographic on August 2016 It's Official: Zika Is a Sexually Transmitted Infection http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2016/08/zika-florida-travel-sex-cdc/ And this by STD check posted on October 16 Zika Virus Is Now An STD https://www.stdcheck.com/blog/zika-virus-std-sti-sexually-transmitted/ CNN has this on September 11 2016 Zika is an STD: Why are we not calling it one? http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/11/opinions/zika-should-be-called-an-std/ Hey, get off it, there is a new STD in town. I don't know how, but wherever Pastor Adeboye got his prophecy/gist from, is a reliable source. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Health / Re: Does HIV Really Exist ? by sofadj(m): 11:07pm On Dec 13, 2016 |
frankloloko:HIV is a virus that attacks the body's defense system. Basically it majorly targets cells that help protect the body by fighting off several infections on a day to day basis. Once HIV has destroyed these cells to an extent, the body's ability to fight infections becomes compromised hence the person starts having several illnesses that he's ordinarily supposed to be free from. From tuberculosis, to meningitis, pneumonia, etc. When it has progressed to this stage is when it is then called AIDS. At this stage the person can really come down with several hundreds of illnesses. It is these opportunistic illnesses that kill inn most cases. 1 Like |

I hope this woman makes a lot of money from the "whatever" hospital that did this to her! How can you release the name and picture of someone in such a vulnerable situation. SHE MUST SUE IF THIS WAS WITHOUT HER CONSENT! Does anyone know her? In fact I am ready to take this up. What nonsense! All in the name of going viral on the internet. This is so sad. |

Hey, please HIV exists. So does cancer and many other diseases with no known treatment for now. Please stop spreading this falsehood about HIV's existence being a fiction. I am a medical doctor. I have seen hundreds of people die from AIDS both young and old, black and white. 1 Like |

Chiezzh: Hey, why do you keep saying you worked in your dad's hospital? Do you think saying its your dad's hospital will improve your chances of being believed. If I were you, I would simply say I worked in a hospital as an intern/trainee/whatever. Saying its your dad's hospital just reveals to everyone that it was never really a job - you were just following your popman to work - IMO the VO doesn't need to know this. 3 Likes |

What is black Friday? Is it the day stores trick people to buy things they don't need OR the day many cheap substandard goods are pushed out to unsuspecting the day prices are returned to normal after previously increasing them to make them look like they've become cheaper? I will start doing black Friday deals when they start giving out those goods freely. 13 Likes |

nifjay: Accommodation is not so much of a big deal. Most Nigerians do not stay in school apartments, you can always get a place off-campus. Your school should provide means of offcampus apartment, but even if they don't, you can get pple to find for you. Get admission and VISA first then start worrying about where to stay. I currently stay in Bowie and may be able to help when you get to that stage. PS: Bowie State University has plenty blacks and Nigerians. You should be fine. Bowie is a relatively cheap city too. |

Family / Re: Will I Ever Get Married? by sofadj(m): 8:25pm On Oct 03, 2016 |
OP, You are not ALONE. Like many ladies/women, you DO NOT know what is needed to maintain a relationship/marriage. Study your self, find a man who is compatible with you. By compatibility, I'm talking in terms of your attitude, beliefs and lifestyle. If you find a man like that, marry him. Period. Your relationship with your ex probably failed because it lacked Commitment - You entered into it with trial in your mind. There will be a limit to how much you will want to sacrifice in such circumstance. Love is not mysterious, it's not magical too as we have been made to believe. LOVE can grow, COMPATIBILITY can not. After compatibility comes COMMUNICATION, and COMMITMENT With these 3 things your marriage will last (Any relationship will, for that matter) NOTICE I DID NOT INCLUDE LOVE. Even with LOVE, without these 3 things, any relationship will collapse. Men and women, choose wisely. PM me to know more. PS: Simply my opinion 2 Likes |

Health / Re: My Experience As An Egg Donor by sofadj(m): 1:25am On Aug 26, 2016 |
You seriously expect to get paid the same amount they pay in US? You think patients pay the same amount in fertility clinics in Nigeria as they do in US? When collecting eggs, besides ruling out diseases, fertility clinics try to maintain the highest level of anonymousness - to prevent future "wahala" So don't be surprised if they don't ask you personal questions. The fact that people who donate eggs are illiterates or bleach has nothing to do with the eggs they donate - What's your point? If you can't donate eggs fine, people will keep doing it. If you see the smiles on the faces of people who have suffered from several years of infertility you will realise you are not doing a fruitless exercise. Lastly, a virgin is someone who has not had sex before, being a virgin does not mean you can not donate eggs, donating eggs does not mean you are not a virgin anymore. 5 Likes |
