We're expecting our first child in 2 months and the journey has been of mixed reaction, but fun. We have all sorts of Nigerian foods(despite being in UAE), but at times my wife will take cooked food from neighbors on perceiving them. This morning, it was just garri she took. Our home is fully stocked and fridge full. At times she will just sleep on the tiles. Many a times she's using the toilet she will be there for long, saying she's enjoying the smell.
Many things, not to talk of mood swings

Overall, it's a joy to see your baby growing and seeing its movements in there

I don't know why and how you will compare Lagos to Dubai. I guess the Op has never been to or seen pictures of Dubai. You can't even compare Lagos to Sharjah(another Emirate in UAE), talkless of Abu Dhabi or Dubai

Please can someone tell me more about New Zealand? Is traveling there advisable to make money?
How is the cost of birthing there as a visit visa holder?
Do they give citizenship to children born there, but from visitor parents.
All I need to know please
Thanks in anticipation

backbencher:
As usual many Nairalanders are saying ' Nigeria bad' and ' Why aren't we like the UAE'?

The simple answer why we cannot be like the UAE is because we don't have the money to do it.

The UAE produces 2.4 million barrels of crude oil a day. It also has 15 million people counting the expats

Nigeria produces less than 1.5 million barrels of crude a day, and has over 200 million people

That means that at the end of the day, the UAE has the money and the means to do whatever it wants. Nigeria does not have that capability because they are too many of us for the oil money to go around easily. Even if we shared the money equally ( If we shared our 2020 budget among each and every Nigerian, each one of is would get just 20000 naira)

If we want to be like the UAE then we have to tell 190 million Nigerians that they are no longer Nigerians and spend the oil money on the remainder.

Harsh fact but if we want to surpass the UAE, because the UAE at the end of the day is relying on oil and will be broke the day oil runs out, Nigeria must take the path to industrial development and to become an.exporter of industrial goods and services.

That is where Buhari has failed. Even if Buhari was a 'good' leader, he would still leave Nigeria poor because for Nigeria to be rich and prosperous we have to stop thinking that selling raw materials and crude oil and sharing the money ' equitably' is the way to go. That's not how strong nations grow.

Strong nations grow by using their available raw materials and goods and people to produce products the world needs

They rely on oil, but not just that. Tourism is fetching them a lot. Investment here from all parts of the world. They have 2 of the top 10 largest airlines and airports. So so many. And most of it all, they have good leaders.

Another thing is, all their properties are government owned. Not like Nigeria where we've sold or leased out our properties. In the whole of Abu Dhabi you can only see a gas station(ADNOC- Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) unlike hundreds in each city in Nigeria. I can just keep counting......

This isn't totally true. Though, I didn't go through all the write up, but you're not totally correct. Abu Dhabi has not been doing direct employment since last year, but Dubai is presently doing it. All Emirates are issuing permits for people inside. Regarding the latest crimes by Nigerians, no sanction whatsoever has been placed on Nigerians. It's all false

Am still confused why Nigeria authority has to agree on giving us limit of who can enter(200 in two weeks), this is a shame. They would have disagree and settle it once and for all. Even in a day, before, more than 100 Nigerian enter UAE thru both Lagos and Abuja airport with different airline, With this now, ticket will be cost too much. Oga o ordinary uae dey give us this kind condition, naija leaders has sold us teytey.

I doubt that figure is going to work. How can planes share 200 passengers for 2 weeks?!!

My friend, was on her way to the market and saw this cute guy they connected and she claimed to have experienced butterfly in her tummy. I told her it was lust but she got mad at me and they started dating the next day, one month into the relationship mama is not feeling it again, as all they spoke about was sex and physical appearance. Long story short, mama ended up blocking papa and agreed it was lust.

If you are hoping on importation to fill the gap, remember that we run the borders, we can close Seme again plus other southern land borders.

We can handpick the foods to be imported from the ports because we are in charge of that sea access too. We can ban chicken and fish imports, alongside tomato and onions imports.

You're one of Nigeria's problems that should be taken care of. Only God knows what sort of brain you have...tueh...

These are Antichrist.
They gathered in hundreds of thousands during their selfish agendas called rallies. Visit Oshodi bus station and see how many people are there every minutes without any safety measure. Big markets across the country are welcoming thousands of people everyday. Gbagi in Ibadan, Idumota in Lagos to mention but few.

Been trying to make ends meet in Nigeria but the country hasn't been hustle friendly, suffering today and smiling tomorrow. I tried running the 2years visa last year but it was futile, I decided to give in to the 3 months visit visa.

Please can I get a job under 3 months? even if it's a menial job, I'm a graduate though but keep that one aside for now. I don't wanna come back to Nigeria now.

What do I need to come along with while coming to Dubai?

Can I save up and move to Canada or Europe at the end of 2years?

Bro, the first thing is,don't give any damn so called agent your money in the name of giving you job. Hustle to get job by yourself.
Trust nobody
Use your brain while accepting any job offer

As per traveling elsewhere, it's easier than from Naija, but it would cost you. While about to do that, don't consult any African. Visit offices of immigration companies.
You can ask for any other questions you want to know

All the best bro
