Politics / Re: Jonathan Suspends The Minister Responsible For Internal Security by soldee: 2:55am On Apr 20, 2011
Hmmmm, Fresh administration, the igbos have the advantage. Hope they won't use it to bring down their kinsmen in govt like it was with a number of past Senate Presidents. Leadership advantage should stop resulting in the sacrifice of local perceived enemies. Ohakim has had his 1st wish from GEJ. Watch others make tangible requests.
Politics / Will The Pdp Govt Protect The People Who Ensured Its Victory? by soldee: 2:29pm On Apr 19, 2011
The elections have come and gone and PDP is back on the block. Its back to work for all. With violence up North the people are once again in danger from hoodlums and miscreants. Can the PDP govt cease the day and set the tone by quelling the violence and bringing perpertrators to book?

Going from the last 24hrs, it seems its business as usual. In Kano where irate youths went on rampage, security agencies first and foremost ensured that the Emir of Kano was airlifted to the international airport by helicopter and then flown abroad, countless helpless citizens were still caught unawares on the ground. In sokoto state security agencies sealed off the residences of the sultan and of shehu shagari among others - sealed off with a long line of officers who could have been useful elsewhere. There are reports that various bigwigs are having 'additional' security aides to ensure their safety. This cannot be said for the common man because as we speak, killings and violence is still going on all over the North but since the elites seem safe for now, the media has moved on to more interesting things. Kafanchan in southern kaduna is burning and the people are helpless as I type, and the sitting PDP governor is from southern kaduna - why no action?

Its sad that the very masses rejoicing are already paying the price for 'aluta continua' in the midst of celebrations. Let the authorities take charge pls for the sake of the innocent. The sticks, knives and petrol jerrycans of irate youth CANNOT match the security and defence resources at the disposal of the state. Pls, DO SOMETHING!!
Politics / Re: CPC Statement On The Violence In The North by soldee: 12:20am On Apr 19, 2011
@Superboi thank you!!

Buhari is not leading Nigeria so Nigerians should stop looking to him to protect their lives and property! If armed robbers invade your house will you be calling on their gang leader to call off his boys or will you call the authorities??
Politics / Re: Presidential Election Questions Begging For Answers by soldee: 11:56pm On Apr 18, 2011
4. Why is an average Nigerian not bothered about fraud and consequences of fraud?

GBAM!!!

This is the reason why pdp will rule for the next 50yrs. Nigerians don't mind corruption!
Politics / Re: No More Pdp Govs In North? Can We Safely Assume? by soldee: 11:50pm On Apr 18, 2011
Southern kaduna folk are 30% minority in kaduna state, possibly less, which is why the results there inflamed tensions.

In kwara, CAN and Baba Saraki are forming an alliance to upstage PDP at all costs.

I doubt if any PDP governor will dare campaign openly up North. Even the usual financial inducement will be dead on arrival. Besides no local leader will dare associate with PDP.

Looking at it from another angle, it will be a masterstroke if the northern masses can rid themselves of PDP by such brazen determination while their supposedly more exposed counterparts in the South are frolicking at the prospect of a continuation of PDP.

Seven days, time will tell.
Politics / Re: How Did Goodluck Get 300,000 Votes In Sokoto by soldee: 4:50pm On Apr 18, 2011
The northern masses are today physically ejecting their corrupt leaders and saying enough of pdp's corruption. Violence is not the way but I doubt if GEJ has the guts to address a people he knows did not vote for him! Where are the 1 million+ GEJ supporters in kaduna and the hundreds of thousands in the other states? What I hear being said is that the people should just accept the 'deals' done by their regional leaders. Turn on the TV, the people have said No Way!

And GEJ will only encourage the situation's escalation by keeping quite for the next 4 years! An OBJ (with all his issues) would've called in the calvary by now! But we all know what to expect.

The way I see it, I don't think the northern masses care if GEJ wins or loses but they won't have their votes stolen or their leaders 'dealing' their right.

GEJ would've won without tampering with the figures up north so why the costly gamble?
Politics / Re: Now That Gej Has Won, Can You Predict What Will Happen In The Next 4 Years by soldee: 11:29pm On Apr 17, 2011
Let's predict the next four months. What is GEJ's past record in rewarding loyalty and who do you think will get what?
Politics / Re: The SE Must Get Either The Senate President Or Speaker Of House Of Rep by soldee: 9:15pm On Apr 17, 2011
@OP and what is the guarantee that his fellow igbo kinsmen will not ensure his impeachment as usual?
Politics / Nigerians Celebrate Pdp by soldee: 4:40pm On Apr 17, 2011
After 12 years of whining, the Nigerian masses have overwhelmingly endorsed the status quo and are celebrating its extention by another four years and possibly more. For the first time, PDP gave power to the people and they gave it right back with a message 'pls do it again'. As the ruling party coasts to victory with its four-year mandate they do so with the full conviction that the people agree.

Long Live Nigeria!!
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 12:43am On Apr 17, 2011
Lol! Ok, I rest! Let's just hope the results on ground as at now still stand at the end of the day. Buhari's cleaning out above expectations up north while GEJ's doing very well down south, but there's going to be 2 considerations for a clear winner: Numbers AND Spread. But Let's wait for Inec.
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 12:35am On Apr 17, 2011
True talk sha!
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 12:31am On Apr 17, 2011
Buhari has like 80% of 17 out of 19 northern states as well as over 25% in FCT. He needs 25% in 6 more states to win.

GEJ as at now cannot get a clear majority 'cos of the volume of numbers up north, but he is more likely to get 25% in up to 24 states.
Politics / Re: Arrrested And Detained For 4 Hours For Trying To Take Poll Pictures by soldee: 11:32pm On Apr 16, 2011
So far ballot stuffers getting maimed in the north, whistle-blowers getting maimed in the south! Pls keep the reports coming.
@ Poster thank God for your life.
Politics / Re: Where Are The Results From Akwaibom, Anambra, Oyo, Ogun, Etc? by soldee: 11:28pm On Apr 16, 2011
All those overdosed SS and SE units will be cancelled

Crazy mentality - why rig and get cancelled when you're already winning the area by a landslide?
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 10:47pm On Apr 16, 2011
Those stuffing ballots are shooting themselves in the foot. Elections are automatically cancelled where votes exceed number of registered voters. Those on ground at SS and SE are probably misinterpreting the numbers coming out of the north by assuming they are bloated. Someone needs to show them the volume of expected votes from each region. It'll be ironic if GEJ's votes in the SS and SE are invalidated by rigging, I mean what's the point when you're already winning??!
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 10:36pm On Apr 16, 2011
Hmmmm! Dis one go hard o! In bauchi this even a station wagon was caught filled with ballot papers already stamped for Pdp. The car and driver and contents were burnt as one to ashes. Unconfirmed by press but I've gotten 2 calls on the story already

Ibadan CPC ke Wow!!
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 9:49pm On Apr 16, 2011
That makes it 17 states out of 19 for Cpc up North.

Pls correct me if I'm wrong: the winner must have at least 25% of votes in 2/3rds of states + FCT. That's 25% minimum in 24 states. What are the rules for a clear majority pls?
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 9:37pm On Apr 16, 2011
For FCT, the city center is a close race. I don't have feeds for outer areas
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 9:35pm On Apr 16, 2011
So far CPC looks set to clear over 70% in at least 16 northern states. In fact so far only Benue and Kwara are adding up for PDP. I don't have any feeds from Taraba.
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 9:16pm On Apr 16, 2011
True, Buhari only needs 25% from SW. Looks like he may get it. I'm shocked by Kogi though.
Politics / Re: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by soldee: 8:44pm On Apr 16, 2011
For NC, CPC seems to have swept Niger. Benue and Kwara look good for PDP. Any news from Kogi and Plateau??
