In as much as it may sound funny. I have looked at reviews in Google and is kind of neither here nor there with some people talking more on money consciousness. I don't if anybody has or know someone with an offer there.

Currently, I have a benchwork space (offer to run my practicals) in South Africa for an ongoing PhD in Nigeria which I want to dump and go to Australia. Just kind of confused and need advice.
Is your PHD full funded ?

Thanks. Will be grateful if you can ask one or two people around about the school. Am about to make a decision which I don't want to regret in future.

What flight did you use and how was the experience?
I used South African Airways it wasn't the cheapest tho if I can remember Turkish was the cheapest but with longer hours followed by SAA which was 40hours it wasn't easy at all

LAGOS - JOHANNESBURG
check in went well and smooth no issue but always make sure you weigh your bags very well. we took off in the evening, the plane is a new one very neat and big with bug screen and port to charge phone we arrived early in the morning the duration was 6hours or so the food wasn't bad also for this leg. Before leaving Nigeria I was told to go and ask SAA if I can get hotel reservation in South Africa but I was told it's not possible due to not booking directly with them so painful. On getting to the Airport I asked the price of the hotel it was so expensive can't remember the price again its per hours not per day.the stopover was over 13hours imagine sitting down in a particular place for half a day and nothing to do just window shopping and walking around plus eating and the restaurant inside the airport was expensive I had breakfast and lunch there . the wifi at the airport is free for 4hours and it's not unlimited and to get more hours wasn't easy at all after using the 4 hours I was so bored

JOBURG TO PERTH
The plane was small, not neat and old and no port to charge phone very terrible. Didn't enjoy this leg at all I don't have much to say here anyway after picking up my bags I was asked to open my bags and my locust beans was seize and at the port of entry I was asked where I will stay and I told the lady can't remember the other question and that's was all. I checked in for my other flight going to Sydney, brought sim card and adaptor and I went to the gate sat on the chair and I connected to the fast internet I was so happy ehn the stopover was short but enjoyed it the leg from PERTH TO SYDNEY was so long can't believe 4 hours journey within a country that was when I realise that AUSTRALIA IS THE END OF THE WORLD

So tired right now will update the house with pictures later and more stories

A rental bond is a security deposit paid at the start of the tenancy.

If the property manager/owner takes a bond, they must give the tenant a receipt and lodge it with the RTA within 10 days. It is an offence not to do so.

A rental bond is lodged with the RTA online, or by post, using a Bond lodgement (Form 2).

The bond is paid back to the tenant when the property is vacated, provided no money is owed for rent, damages or other costs.

How much bond can be taken?

For general tenancies the law says if the rent is $700 or less per week, the maximum bond amount is 4 weeks rent. If the weekly rent is higher than $700, the amount of bond should be negotiated between the property manager/owner and tenant. The law gives no maximum amount where the weekly rent is higher than $700.

For moveable dwelling tenancies, the maximum bond is the same as 2 weeks rent, or if the electricity is connected to the premises in the owner’s name, 3 weeks rent.

The maximum amounts stated in the Act apply to all bonds, no matter what they are called (e.g. pet bond) or how many bonds are taken.

There are different rules where accommodation is provided by an employer. Check with the RTA for more information.

Questions keep popping into my head as the date of my arrival in Australia gets closer. I'm feeling unprepared in terms of being armed with enough information.

I checked the accommodation link that WestAfrican sent. I kept on seeing the term "Bond". I wonder what that means.

Also, for someone who is going to be schooling in Wollongong but intends to stay and work in Sydney, which part of Sydney should such a person rent an apartment so as to ensure more proximity to Wollongong.

Again based on experience, what kind of accommodation would you advise those of us who are coming over to arrange for as students and what type should we avoid? We need your opinions on this our senior brothers and sisters.

Are there any other inherent procedural challenges with securing accommodation that we need to be aware of especially as new comers and how do we overcome them if any?

Pharmacy can actually get you PR and don,t be surprised that this nursing is not as easy as it sounds, the easiest so far are that of social work and community service. funny thing is cert 4 in disability still works for PR in some regional areas.
Please prove how pharmacy can leads to PR we are all here to learn

Cert 4 to get PR wow can you please tell the house the regional areas

Please a quick question.

I am going for a one year Master's degree program in environmental management. My course can be done in 1year, 1.5 years and 2 years. I was allotted the one year duration because the course of study is the same as my undergraduate study.

Can i get the 2yrs post graduate visa?

Incase I can't get the 2yrs postgraduate visa can I change course duration to 2yrs or entirely course to a 2yrs course.
Look for another uni that will offer you 2yrs MSc program yes you can switch when you arrive Australia and you will need to apply for extension of visa so why all theses stress when you face it once and forget about it please I will recommend 2yrs
