debbleopto: one thing comes to mindJonathan has barely ruled for 3 years and you are comparing the SS to the north. The SW ruled for 8 years without doing anything. |
psucc: This is real politics. Anyway that is why I love the politics in the SW. Disagreeing to agree. Commend others when they perform and blast them when wrong.Nonsense. You must have been born yesterday. |
Seriously,i am beginning to really understand why china censored their media from western influence. That singular move is probably one of the greatest factors in the emergence of china as a super-power. The chinese leaders must be grand-masters in the art of deep-thinking and long-term visioning. A stark constrast to the morøns we have here in Nigeria. |
skyfall: America has a lot of its bad sides too but it's definitely not in Putin's place to criticise them. He's a bloody HYPOCRITE and a criminal. He and his corrupt friends are running a mafia govt. Do you know the no of journalists in Russian prisons?stop making generalization, you brainwashed ninny. Where have you seen me fighting and dying for a US visa? I am even grateful that the DV lottery has been stopped. Those americans have turned thousands of our citizens to pseudo-Nigerians,all in the name of greener pastures. |
Lol, here's my post: "However it still remains a "mandatory requirement" for skilled employment in most of the private sector and the entire public sector." I said it is required for most of the skilled employment within the private sector, not all. The likes of shell and Mobil would ask for NYSC. I also said it is required for the entire public sector. I don't think you can get any skilled government jobs without the NYSC. So you see, your example had already been covered by my previous post and you're not telling me anything new. Btw, does that mean that he will never get to work for the likes of shell, even if he is technically qualified, just because of some steeewpid scheme?
How is serving your country stupid? Many countries in the world have a similar scheme where graduates serves the country for 1,2 or 3 years. In israel,it's mandatory for fresh graduates to serve in in the israeli defence force for 2 years and there is high chance of you being killed by palestinian rockets. |
Na wa o. This topic deserves front page. |
all4naija: Why are you not living in these countries of dictators you support? You are the brainless person here.Look mr,the fact that you live in america does not mean you should lose you brain. Even the real americans are aware of the hypocrisy of their country, the immigrants are a different kettle of fish. |
frederal: God bless America(ans)...indeed through liberty, humans can rise above their weakness. All these countries that rule by suppressing the freedom of their people can never go beyond personal progress against national progress. See Russia, Korea, Zimbabwe, Nigeria...them plenty.Brainless morøn. A people that are victims of sophisticated and sieveless american security network spying and monitoring are free? Lol. Nigerians have more freedom than americans may ever have. |

Symphony007: Is the president feeling too big to negociate with ASUU? It's amazing that all this while the president left negociations to ministers, now at this point, he is sending his VICE, it's crazy. Why can't the president negociate with his fellow lecturers? Does'nt he understand their pain? Can't he relate better to them? As president if you don't bring ur own personal experiences to the office, then why are you there? How old are you? What is the duty of the vice-president? |
The oil theft takes place in Nigeria not on the high seas. What they do on the high sea(Togo Triangle) is trading/transfer of crude from one ship to another
Many ships carrying oil are usually hijacked by pirates. The Navy recently killed 6 pirates that hijacked an oil tanker on the high seas. Though i agree with you that oil theft is not on the high sea alone. |
Ndi-ofe' has done it again. |
yiboboy: Why spend a dime? Why not curb corruption in high places and watch everything else fall into place? How does sending GEJ to jail for corruption stop oil theft? You think corruption is only in Nigeria? |
jamace: Where is the Nigerian Navy and their vessels and equipment? What about the equipments purchased and used by the Presidential Implementation Committee on Maritime Security and Safety? Or is NIMASA also dead?Nigerians are just too ignorant. Nigerian navy does not have enough warships and frigates to monitor the huge gulf of guinea. Many people on this thread don't even know that most of the oil theft take place on the high seas by pirates backed by powerful international businessmen. The gulf of guinea is the 3rd most unsafe waterway in the world. 15billion naira is paltry. |
gratiaeo: N15billion?Nigeria loses more than $4billion annually to oil thefts. I5 billion naira is not even enough to buy the required equipments like war-ships and frigates fitted with modern missile and electronic systems to monitor the entire gulf of guinea where most of these thefts take place. |
So much ignorance in Nigeria. People know Wizzkid's mother's name but do not know that Ondo is not only an oil producing state, but a refiners dream. It is along the coast so pipelines can easily be layed to Escravos or to the several marginal fileds onshore the western Niger delta. Also, the brand of the so called South South is totally destroyed when it comes to major capital projets. Ask Shell, Chevron and other IOCs. Only a foolish businessman will invest his money where the citizens are constantly threatening to secede, do gbege, force you to employ thousands of labour force you dont need and have a larger than life sense of entitlement. Only a fool. And Dangote is not one. Kudos to Ondo state and all other sensible states for being cool headed and business focused.
Nonsense. You think if the SS decides to seccede, they won't make sure that none of their oil flows to any part of the country? Lol. Siting the refinery in ondo will not solve the problems you listed as ondo state does not have enough oil reserves to feed the country and export. Dangote will still have to depend hugely on the SS for raw materials whether he likes it or not. Siting the refinery in ondo may prove foolish in the long run as the niger-deltans are very sensitive to marginalization and may disrupt the free flow of crude from the SS to whatever refinery is being built in ondo. |
RoyPCain: now you moved the goal post from 'bible' to scriptures, a plural identity while bible is just 1. how do you fit one into many?lol. Arabs the true custodians of jewish history. *wetin man no go see for nairaland* |
Horus: The FG want to spy on people who fight corruptionThe EFCC was listed as part of those to do the monitoring. So,i don't know what you mean. |
There's no where in the report that says he's being nominated. A mustapha as the head of EFCC would be a master-stroke. The dude is courageous enough to go after criminals without fear or favour. |
ogb5: This is against the fundamental rights of the citizens enshrined in the Nigeria constitution. The constitution can be amended. Afterall, people like you are always accusing the govt of incompetence whenever shekau releases one of his usual Youtube videos. |
ogb5: This is against the fundamental rights of the citizens enshrined in the Nigeria constitution. |
Many Nigerians are dull sha. What is so bad about tanzanians investing in Nigeria? China is the home of investments from most countries in the world. |
Lol. Fashola styled Deceit and delusion. |
Symphony007: and definitely the president will not aggree so in a few months or years time, PDP will go BOOM...BOOM...BOOM!!!!! Oh, God, dreams do come true. *tears of joy*And what will you gain if PDP goes "B00M".? You want to remain under APC as a one party state? |
Dee60: Strange idea. Aso Rock and national Assembly should start first riding on Ogbomosho made cars.posts like this make me angry. You're waiting for jonathan before you start patronizing locally made vehicles? Smh. Is it jonathan that will benefit from the increased jobs or advancement in Nigeria's industrial base? NO! It's the masses that will benefit. Like it or not, jonathan is already made for life. Patronizing local made vehicles will benefit you the masses in the long-run,and not jonathan. |
Dee60: Strange idea. Aso Rock and national Assembly should start first riding on Ogbomosho made cars. |
payless: LOL! Amin ashe!if the ijaw person on nairaland decide to retaliate now by calling awolowo a treacherous coward whose descendants will never know peace, morønic dingbats like you will start crying. |
ooshinibos: it always amaze me that oyibo has never seen the good side of Nigeria , e.g our food , music , lanscape and the nice houses in port harcout ,lagos ....... they oyibo have never published the anti social behaviour is UK e.g to mention a few racism ,knife and gun thuggery , vandalism of the trains station , hatred , racial abuse , teenage pregnancy and peadophila etc, could you imagine all these risk were listed at the british embassy ..people will think twice to come to britain ,,every country has it downside ..oyibo are just good at managing problems while we are not , ---somebody challenge me now , if am not telling the truthIt's not only Nigeria. Africa has been a victim of bad western propaganda. |
I love GH: Why am I here sef? This matter be family matter. Oya, runs away and not turning backI am sure you were disappointed at the positivity in the report,my ghanian friend. |
Someone should give me ONE GOOD REASON why i should care about what a brit thinks of Nigeria. |
