Politics › Re: Dangote Promises To End Fuel Import In 4 Years by solomon111(m): 12:51pm On May 24, 2013
naptu2: I've always wondered why people question the existence of Kaduna refinery.

What are the things a farmer is concerned about?

1) Raw materials: arable land, water = raw materials. In this case, crude oil.

2) How to get produce to market: proximity to the market (to reduce transport costs) or means of transport (good roads, river, rail line, etc) so that he can sell his produce.

Petrol, diesel and kerosene are used in northern Nigeria. There is a market for these products. Kaduna refinery exists to take care of this market. Indeed Niger Republic has built a refinery close to the border I order to profit from the shortage of refined petroleum products in northern Nigeria.

Where is the biggest market for refined petroleum products in Nigeria
The niger-delta that produces the oil has a shortage of refineries to refine the huge amount of crude extracted daily, and you are trying to justify the building of a refinery in the desert.
It beats common sense.
Depots can always be built in various parts of the north to adequately supply them, but refineries have no business there.

Ess: See who is talking about illiteracy, Mr know it all. It seems you and your fellow Niger Deltans know better than Dangote's financial advisers. No wonder Dangote is the poorest and you are the richest in the continent!
Black belle!!!
So because he's the richest man in africa,he can't make brainless business decisions?
You are funny.

Nice.
He should set up his bigger plants in the eastern region and use lagos as his annex.
The country is hanging on the brink on division, and anything can happen.
He should apply wisdom.

Ess: Don't mind the black belles. They will continue to show their bigotry and cluelesness!
stop displaying your illiteracy.
It makes more sense building your company closer to where raw materials can be easily sourced.
Delta,Rivers,bayelsa,akwa-ibom,imo are far more viable sites for the placement of a refinery.

Brilliance9000: You didn't know there was a refinery in Kaduna? Kaduna has no oil nor oil wells. Apply same logicsmiley
Building refineries in kaduna and ondo is moronnic.
Kaduna has no oil, while ondo is not even in the top four oil-producing states.
Anyway, as long as it's not FG money,he can invest wherever he wants.

Brunel: As i read the title of this thread, the first thing that comes to my mind is 'this man is doing alone what government failed to do in almost 30 years'. providing jobs and opportunities and increasing standard of living, one day we all will wake up and realise dat Alhaji Dangote is ACTUALLY our government. smiley
He is a private investor.
Their job is to trigger the economy and provide jobs.
All govt has to do is provide the enabling environment, collect taxes, and protect consumers.
That's how it's done, in developed climes.

REALITY101: The real question is, what is Nigeria government going to do with the money?

No they don't need to pay shiit
what does the US govt do with the huge taxes they generate?
Waste it on wars,right?
Webmasters › Re: Should Facebook And Twitter Pay Tax In Nigeria? by solomon111(m): 7:58am On May 24, 2013
chumakk: NO. Government get long throat. What are they doing with the current tax income inside their pocket?
you think Nigeria is a wealthy country?
Smh.
When you compare Nigeria to her contemporaries, she is a very poor country with a huge population to cater for.
So by not supporting the payment of taxes, you are only cheating yourself.

sheyie2007: we are not looking up to south Africa dummy, the article itself is a south African journalist opinion... How many of them are aware that we have an indigenous car manufacturing company? South Africa has none.. These are foreign companies managed by them likes of Ford, bmw and Nissan
I didn't read the article as i find it nonsensical.
If i knew that the article was written by a southafrican,i probably wouldn't bother replying.
Those guys can really deceive themselves.
Their self-deceit is almost at the same level of Nigerians.
Politics › Re: Can South Africa Help Nigeria To Industrialise? by solomon111(m): 10:49am On May 23, 2013
speedyboi: Last I checked....SA is no more industrialized than Nigeria undecided
Exactly.
The difference in the level of industrialization between Nigeria and southafrica is almost negligible.
Both countries are toddlers, when it comes to industrialization.
Politics › Re: Can South Africa Help Nigeria To Industrialise? by solomon111(m): 10:43am On May 23, 2013
They are not even that industrialized,so how will they help us.?
Even southafrica needs to get industrialized.
We should be looking to the asian tigers, and not southafrica.

Abagworo: The interesting thing about Nairaland nowadays is that it is filled with paid agents supporting every misdeed of government. I will laugh last when this degenerates into another Boko Haram crisis in the South-South. You don't play politics with militants against elected authority.
Give it a rest.
Anybody that disaggrees with you is a paid agent, and yet you defend that clueless imo governor unconditionally.

shymexx: This ish is turning into a propaganda war reminiscent of George Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech that was displayed on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in Iraq, in 2003. But we all know what happened after that.

The speech said:
"In the Battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed." - George Bush.

PS: don't attack my post - I'm just keeping it real. wink
Guy,shut up.
You've been yapping about propaganda for days, without giving proof.
The NA is not an army of propaganda.
If you want propaganda, look to southafrica.

Symphony007: tell that to the people of rivers state where jonathan has'nt set foot since 2011,and his wife who is a daughter of the state whoes motorcade was stoned on her last visit. Also ameachi who choose, since all these rubbish started and has'nt attended council of state meeting or even south-south governours meeting but is still popular.
you are joking,right?
You don't know anything about the SS.
When it comes to presidential issues which concerns the interests of the SS especially against northern interests like APC the SS is indivisible.
The SS is already anti-north as it is,and they will deal with any indigene of the SS used by the north to cause confusion.
Amaechi is just trying to have his last hurrah before entering political irrelevancy.

dinachi: Some peeps here think only ijaws occupy Rivers state. There are the Ikweres, the Ogonis, the ekpeyes, A smart politician like Amaechi can effectively neutralize Jonathan. If Amaechi goes to APC and remember Oshiomwhole is also in APC, then Jonathans base in SS in seriously under threat! By the time Rochas mobilizes from the East, the battle is already won. No wonder Jonathan is Jittery.
sorry,GEJ is unopposed in the SS.
Even oshiomole a member of APC is always trying to be seen with GEJ,and always wants to be in good terms with GEJ.
Anyway SS governor that thinks otherwise is committing political suicide.

The tense atmosphere was not helped by the
trigger-happy northern soldiers at Enugu who
were hell bent on killing Ibos in their homeland.
This I prevented with all the persuasive
authority at my disposal... Benjamin adekunle
Adolf hitler was also a great soldier and master tactician, but the jews will never forgive him for the massacre of six million of them.
Your attitude is disgusting, and a spit on the face of dead biafran heroes.

franchizy: I strongly support the ACF, I think the use of force is not the best solution. The Federal Govt should ve a rethink and use dialogue through the right people wit honesty and sincereity.
Boko Haram wil never give up inspite of the declaration of emergency rule. I urge Nigerians to rise up and condemn the military action as they are killing innocent civilians and boast that they are killing Boko Haram.
Dialogue?
You want to fight terrorism with dialogue?
Dialogue with them in your islamic republic after secession.
