The coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has hinted at a
possible invitation for CHAN Eagles left full back Ikouwem Udoh ahead of Nigeria first set of friendly games ahead of the World Cup in March.
Nigeria will take on Poland and Serbia in March in two high profile friendly games, and according to Rohr one player from the CHAN Eagles team that lost 0-4 to Morocco would be in the squad aside goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

Ikouwem is reportedly the player in the plans of Rohr following his impressive display for the team after taking over the left back duties from the injured Daniel Itodo .

The 18 year old Enyimba defender won the heart of the coach, who is still searching for more options in the Super Eagles left back position despite having Brian Idowu, Elderson Echiejile and Ola Aina.

According to Rohr there is every likelihood that two player from the CHAN Eagles will make his squad for the friendly game but their identity won’t be made public now, until the list is out.

”At first we will do a provisional list for the two friendly games in March. I hope that Ezenwa will recover from his knee injury well on time and probably there will be one other player from this team ( CHAN Eagles) that will be invited”, Rohr revealed in a chat with Segun Ogunjimi of Sportinglife newspaper.

”Perhaps one or two of them will have a chance in a friendly. But I cannot announce yet our list for Poland and Serbia now. All of them will be monitored by our staff.
” I am sure by the beginning of March the list of players invited
to play the Poland and Serbia friendlies will be out”, the coach remarked.

Like iv always said, if the Nigerian league can do something about their horrible pitch and somewhat make it greener, find a way to average 1.5 goals per match(not this 0-0,1-0) plus exciting football,even if na to threaten some brands to sponsor some teams and give it some colour.... Also good TV coverage (commentary, replays, cameras etc).. Erm, what else
Oh and they should arrange with some celebrities to come out on Sunday or a special Sunday to support a team.. Well i can't dispute your comments cos even in civil service in Nigeria people uses court affidavits to back up their age not to talk of footballers.

But we still have some who are true to their age,one thing that i noticed about age falsification is this,if a player find it difficult to have a break through early,definitely he would falsified his age to meet up.

I have a friend who used his real age to play local league due to his international passport cos he cannot do anything about it.He was a member of bound Japan 93 squad but later dropped but then he was in secondary school,immediately after secondary school he teamed up with Kwara bomber.

I remember a certain Iwuanyanwu player couldn't recalled his name who was called to U 21 and said he is 22 years that he cannot represent Nigeria cos he has represented Nigeria in some international youth tourney in Sweden and Finland as a secondary school boy.
