EgunMogaji2: I think I missed this post.
Based on my own understanding, not all houses calls for window hoods. It depends on the style of the house and what the architect came up with in the totality of the project.
I followed what my esteem architect drew. Thanks sir. The architectural drawing didn't make room for hoods though. |

hslbroker2: All windows most have hoods! For beautification of the house or the building, now listen, either u are using casement windows or sliding windows, they both need hoods for aesthetic beauty, if we solve your problem let us know if not, my bosses we buttress this issue.
Thanks If it's just for aesthetic beautification, then it can't be a must. |

COMPAQ: Not really a good anaylsis, as it doesn't consider cost of living.
If that Professor were to be in University of Ibadan (Ibadan being a cheap town), he might be able to save more at the end of every month than the guy earning GBP3000 in London.
Let me add additional perspective for you. I live in Houston and let me give you a run down of bills, some of which don't exist (or are significantly lower) in Nigeria:
Rent (3bed) $1,850 a month (N1.036mln) equivalent in Ibadan is like $178 a month (N1.2mln a year) Auto Insurance $108 a month (N60k) Electricity $120 (N67k) Water $70 (N39k) Gas $50 (N28k) Homeowners Insurance $60 (N33k) Flood Insurance $60 (N33k) Home Warranty $60 (N33k) Finally. |

joycluv: Hi our great architects in the house. Please what is the best layout? Accessing the guest bedroom from the anteroom or from the living room?
Secondly, should the guest bedroom be so isolated from the rest of the rooms or should there be a link between it and the rest of the rooms in the house? Thanks! Mine is isolated from the rest of the house and can only be assessed from the anteroom. I believe your guest should not have unhindered access to the rest of the house. |

Now that it's not a negative news, the thread didn't pass 2 pages.

Does it mean most Nigerians derive joy in bad news?
