No!
So why do you expect the FG to be testing more Nigerians??

You don't know maths. It's that simple.

Yes I said so if you can't find a correlation between the number of tests and recorded cases.
You are shooting yourself in the foot. According to you, the USA needs to conduct 200million more tests because more people than they've recorded are infected with the virus.
Health › Re: First Covid19 Case In US Just 5 Days Before First Covid19 Case In Nigeria. by sonofthunder: 7:59am On Mar 31, 2020

Nigeria has done less 1000 tests and recorded 131 cases.

US has done 1million tests and recorded 160, 000 cases.

Do the maths. undecided
This is very poor and baseless analysis. What if the US conducts 20million tests, how many cases do you recon they will have?
Health › Re: First Covid19 Case In US Just 5 Days Before First Covid19 Case In Nigeria. by sonofthunder: 7:58am On Mar 31, 2020
Amya:
The first Covid19 case was just 5 days before the first Covid19 case in Nigeria. Yet at present the US has over a 160,000 case and over 3000 deaths whilst Nigeria is presently at 131 with just 2 death. Such huge disparity!

Some people believe that the cases reported are much lower than the actual cases at the moment and while that can be true, the cases around will still be in its hundreds. Anything short of that will have had people around us dropping like flies after having pneumonia-like symptoms and difficulty in breathing.

I believe that our transmission rate is really low for whatever reason. Maybe the heat, maybe our DNA? ( most definitely NOT because of government policies) It's been over one month since the first case was reported in Nigeria and if we've managed to control it to this very minimal rate, then we will surely beat the virus. It took same 1 month for US to go from 1 to hundreds of thousands.

So all those pessimists going from thread to thread talking about an impending explosion of the infection rate in Nigeria should know that if it would have the exploded, 1 month is an ample time for it to have done so like it did in some other countries. I'm hopeful that we will beat this.

PS. I honestly do not believe all of these high profile people coming out to say they've been infected with the virus. I think it's an arrangement to demystify the disease and make people with symptoms more willing to report themselves to the authorities. If you understand statistics, you'll know the chances of these people having it as against the standing case (of 131 as at today) and the population of Nigeria (200m) is almost non-existent.

Stay safe guys and stay home. Las Las we'll be fine.
Do you have people around you dying mysteriously or who are down with more than 50% of the covid 19 corona virus symptoms?

Are you minding them? it's paining them that number of infections are still not alarming. Most of them are prophets of doom, they have been predicting doom for the country since the epidemic started but God pass them.
It's well my dear. This orientation is quiet disturbing.
Health › Re: Coronavirus: Why Is NCDC Not Showing The Number Of People Tested? by sonofthunder: 6:33pm On Mar 26, 2020
Validated:
The National Centre for Disease Control reportage of cases in Nigeria is suspect and lack transparency. I think that this is not the time for propaganda and misinformation or disinformation. Misinformation and the poor reportage make people to be lackadaisical and not take the pandemic serious.
A very vital MISSING information on the NCDC report is Number of Patients tested. The standard world wide is as follows

Number Tested xxxxx
Number of Confirmed Cases xxxxx
Number of Active Cases xxxxx
Number of cases resolved xxxxx
Number of deaths xxxxx

If you look at the NCDC report below, you would agree with me that Number of people tested is MISSING and this is a critical piece of information.
It is frightening to know that some states that may have cases would be living in fools paradise because cases that ought to have been detected are not and such individuals will be spreading it on daily basis.

A World Health Organisation (WHO) report indicated that as of March 22, 2020, Nigeria has tested only 152 persons with a record of (40 positive which represents 26%) while South Africa tested 15,500 with about (702 cases representing 5%). Extrapolating these numbers, you would agree with me that if 15,500 patients were tested in Nigeria just like it is in South Africa, the number would conservatively be between 2-3% or 300 - 450 minimum.

This deceit need to stop. Here is calling on NCDC to be open and transparent in the interest of all and not play politics with peoples' lives.
What are you saying? Is it not people that have symptoms that will be tested?

Hello Gurus in the house, I have learnt a lot from this thread but would need a few clarifications on some issues and will appreciate all the help I can get.

1.) I'm applying for the passport for immigration purpose. My Birth Cert. and LG Cert. carry the name 'Olusola', while all other documents have always carried 'Olushola'. I prefer to stick with the later. Would this be an issue? If yes how can I rectify it quickly?

2.) Anybody that has applied in warri can let me know their experience so I can be better prepared. I'll like to follow the online route as recommended. Hope my application will not be intentionally delayed or stuff like that.

3.) How do I go about the guarantors' form for online application? Is there a place to print from their website and then upload after filling?

Apologies for any 'dumb' questions raised. Please mention me if my petitions have already been addressed in a previous post.

Thanks.

Christianity Etc › Re: One Good Reason Why You Shouldn't Take Atheists Seriously by sonofthunder: 10:31pm On Jun 05, 2019
KingEbukasBlog:
Atheism is defined by atheists as the lack of belief in God/gods. This definition is wrong, but let's assume that its correct for the sake of the message I want to pass in this writeup. So, atheists explain that lack of belief in deities is attributed to a supposed lack of evidence for the existence of deities. And they are rational human beings for not believing in deities yadi yadi yada.

Do you realize that atheists have beliefs in things that have no evidence or subscribe to positions that have no evidence that proves they are true. Positions like materialism (nothing exists except matter), naturalism (everything that exists arises from natural properties and causes *this position is self refuting*), positivism (another self-refuting position lol), skepticism (yet another position that is self refuting... Oh dear... This is getting embarrassing ) the list is endless.

Some believe that aliens exist (without any evidence), other minds apart from theirs exist (without a sound philosophical argument to support this notion). Some subscribe to nihilism (without evidence to prove that life is meaningless, that there is no transcendent reality and death is the ultimate end) etc

This is juicy part, pay close attention. If they can subscribe to belief systems or take philosophical positions that are self refuting, not proven to be true, and are comfortable doing so, why don't they extend this to God Why do they lose their minds when it comes to believing in God? Why are they so uncomfortable with the belief in God but not with naturalism which logically refutes itself or with materialism which is ancient and ridiculous? Stephen Hawkins, an atheist and like some other atheists believe aliens exist, and would even subjugate mankind and destroy our civilisation if they ever find us. But there isnt evidence that such intelligent extraterrestrial living beings exist. And he claimed he had good reasons to believe they exist. Oh wait, don't theists have and have presented good reasons why God exists? What are we missing here? You are smart and super smart for lacking belief in God but obdurately take positions that are self-refuting, irrational and unproven. Take your time, if you have to, to cachinnate at the glaring contradiction.
Good to have the King back. Seems to be another short visit though.
How have you been sir??

We got married in 2013, by 2015 I had a very terrible accident that shattered one of my leg, so I've been down since then, even though the treatment will soon be over, I did up to 6 surgeries costing quite a fotune, which my people paid.

I work with a very reputable Paramilitary organization, my salary has never been stopped.
I have never failed to provide the basic necessities in the house, even bought my own 2 bedroom flat in the process.

My wife gets angry at the slightest oppotunity..
She told me 2 times that the only reason she's still with me is our two kids...

The 1st time I didn't take it serious but the 2nd time she said it I knew I have to think twice over it.

I know I will bounce back to life and use my legs again in few weeks from now.

My plan is to pack my kids and leave her alone...

What do you Suggest I do.

Thanks
You didn't share what happened before she made said statement.

You must have seen Nobody on here. We find we hear them no more. They are people who are no more because they ran out of pearls or they would still be here casting them with no care where they fall.

Some need not bother about swines eating their pearls. The worst that could happens is the swine's belly full of pearls and swine just dies. Pearls that are pearls are as many as seeds. One falls on good soil and multiplies a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. That is pearls that moths can't get at if securely stored.
