autologic:The future does not belong to you. The white man thinks for himself and not the African. You are thinking about the future while you are not solving today's problems. Continue ô. My future is now and not tomorrow or decades from now. Generators are doing havoc here and no solution from forward thinking people. |
autologic:What about in America? Is it the best selling thing there. Before it will be number 1 in the US, they would have dumped all their fossil cars on us. The phev and hybrid cars are not working properly in the country and you say that electric cars is the future. We are busy copying these them and their situation is not the same as us here. Tomorrow we will ban cars driving into alausa because Paris did the same thing. |
Hybrid is not working, ehybrid is failing , e cars will come and go. With ehybrid, you can even charge it in your house overnight and from the Porsche panerama that was sold recently for butcher, the plug in charger was bad and the car failed. It was sold for 1m. A 2014 car. I will open a demolition center, the cells of the battery can be converted to better use. |
GAZZUZZ:Says who? Castrol is hard to get. |
LeJeun3:Funny thing is that one of the owners of the sports came yesterday apologizing and thought that I have thrown away his car and he has made payment for the importation of his engine from the US. He abandoned it since 2016. Probably he must have read the question raised and decided to come for his car |
jum33:Hmm, good question. I have currently in my workshop 4 range rover sport cars for which the owners intend to buy engines from abroad and we are still waiting for them. I also have a range rover 05 that the owner bought a used x5 engine and it didn't work out because the engine had issues and so he wants to sell it for 500k and I have been tolerant of the car being there until it is sold. Any other car you find there is simply because the owners are not prepared or they are comfortable leaving the cars in the workshop because of the secured environment. There are some that we will need to search for their parts abroad like when we were looking for a gasket of a 2013 v6 sport. It took us 2 months to source for it. If your car is among the lot there and it has not been fixed, let us know . I should be the one complaining about the space being taken but every car is a challenge that has to be resolved. We have been to other major garages to pick up cars from them and their competence is not questioned. It is just a matter of choices. The brand is not receiving any support from the manufacturer here in Nigeria and the franchised dealer is not capable of satisfying the needs of the majority of the owners and so we act as the better option for the brand. We source for the best oil irrespective of the price and we are also equipped with the latest softwares with Internet enabled access to download softwares that are relevant to the cars. We are always upgrading the softwares in the cars to ensure that it serves the owners well. In today's repair market, the internet is very vital whether we copy or paste, everything is done on the net. There was a time when we used to pay 80usd for a 24hrs subscription to jlrsdd server and you still go through the internet. The resale value of the car has gone down and sometimes, the owners are not bothered with giving their cars the best. I have a particular car that we went to pick up from another state and it's been 2 months now and the owner is sending money in bits and begging for more time to pay for the major work. All things being equal, the cars are fixed when the owner wants it fixed. There's a car that I have finished having overheating issues and the owner is not comfortable paying my bill. He was not even happy buying Castrol for 25k a gallon of 5 quarts. To him, Mobil 1 is OK .The car is still in the workshop waiting for him to come and pick it up and when you see the same car in the workshop, you are right to assume that it has not been fixed. Maybe we will start to put stickers on finished vehicles to differentiate the awaiting process of the other cars. And you have to praise our initiative because even the brand in the US cannot satisfy the new cars owners with their wahala especially for the Evoque but we are on top of the game. And our counselling is due to the experience that we have gathered over the years. We have been fixing the brand for 7 years now and if we are able to resolve 70 percent of the cars brought to us, then we have passed, passed very well. But we are not resting on our oars, as you can see from the time that we are responding to your question, we are reading, we read a lot to be able to find answers to the myriads of problems that the brand is facing here in the country and proffer solutions to resolve the agony being faced by the owners. The brand is the only car that is still on the road as at today despite the bad fuel and oil. It will surprise you to know that people are using Mobil hxp to service the car, that people want to change one bushing of the lower arm and change the other one later. The signs of the times we are living in. Thanks for your concern, we will improve on our time factor and hopefully become the best team for the brand in the nearest future. Good morning. |
This past week was Evoque week. All had engine issues, wrong choice of oil is destroying the model. Guys paying through their nose to put the car back on the road. Avoid the unnecessary expenses, use Castrol engine oil 5w30 according to the manufacturer. |
JamesKudooski:I am reading the novel from the page and I did not find where to download it to my computer |
JamesKudooski:I have bought it and was too anxious to read the book that I even started from chapter 4. Please how do I download it? Action all the way. Pacesetters on my mind. You are good. |
JamesKudooski:Send me the link to the book so that I can buy. If I wait for coming soon, I will miss it |
InvertedHammer:Yes, we are in Ikeja, a minute from Ikeja Along |
cooldragon:Shuttling between Lagos and Geneve is the plan |
InvertedHammer:na roof we dey call am. Yes, we do that in the workshop |
InvertedHammer:What is a headliner? |
peeps4u:Movement to Switzerland still in process, too many issues to resolve. Yes, we can still take up some graduate trainees. |
oluwaseunla:OK, I understand now. But is there not any solution to expensive car repairs involving insured cars? |
Interesting but Gazzuzz, why should you charge 981k just to fix one car? Insurance pays but there are many companies that will pay promptly and Axamansard is one of them. I also like the way their claims settlement unit works, they know their onions. Those who take their cars to big garages are ready to defraud the insurance companies because after the obnoxious quotes have been approved, the owners tow the cars to Ladipo to fix it by themselves and make more money. I believe these garages should be excluded because they are the ones that encourage fraud in the system. |
The headline is misleading. There is only one Crown Prince in Benin Kingdom and all these Dukes reigning on behalf of the Oba cannot be considered as having their own kingdoms neither will their sons be called Crown Princes in the same Kingdoms. The mods should rephrase the headlines before our elders return from their astral journey in the morning ![]() |
Me250:The Op of any thread does not have power over what is posted on this thread . If you have any issue please post. Americans are complaining about the brand but they are still buying it. Anyone who has issues with the op, please come forward |
How una dey o? Me is fine |
Joehigashi:Bros, the weather is very hot and so take it easy. I have only asked for two things, the manufacturing date and the fitting labels. If he has the older label that has 0-9 as year, then it is not in tune with the current trend where it is 2018, 2019,etc as fitting date. If you have to use the old fitting labels, how do you choose 2019 from the label? I know where I buy batteries and if they sell substandard, I won't pay. There are some 100 amps battery that are 80 amps but you will see 100 amps written on it. There are some that will use the new labels but the manufacturing date will belie the sticker. I am not pulling him down, he should know what he is selling and if he comes out to talk about it, it has to be good. The people that changed the manufacturing date of tyres do not care about the lives of the people and the profit is all that matters. So also battery and engine oil sellers. When you talk about 150 amps, which car uses it? |
Joehigashi:Maybe you are right but the education is for folks like you because you will buy and later blame others for your lack of understanding. When you look at his battery array, he has 150 amps and no 100 amps and he truthfully stated that it will last for maximum 15 months. I know how to decipher the manufacturing date on a battery but he is the seller and he should tell us when the 15 month battery was manufactured and the fitting labels on his battery that he has confidently brought to a social forum to sell. Then arguing folks like me will be swayed to his line of truth. 90 percent of batteries sold in the country have expired and it is made worse by the storage and handling. I have bought Benz batteries for 90k and it can never be the same with the 28k battery. Exide battery is sold here and it is not as cheap as the expired battery. The cold cranking might be the same but all battery is not battery. I have fixed a new battery on a car and the current will be less than 12.50v and in most cases, I will have to jump start the car to take it above 12.50v. Battery is very important to the electronics of a car and either you bring good batteries or you join the league of other importers who don't bother about coming to the social media to sell made in China batteries with Korean technology. |
greenhulk:But most of these batteries on Amazon are made in China and if it will last 4 years, why are we not getting the same? Launch X431 is a Chinese product but the Russian and the US market version is higher than the African market version. It is the same price with other markets. I believe that it is cheaper because it has expired. Let him teach us how to identify the manufacturing date and the fitting date labels so that we can learn. |
Alexgray:Good. Let us know the manufacturing date etched on the front of the battery along with the fitting date labels. From my little knowledge, the current battery fitting date starts from 2018 and not the 0 -9 labels . Why should a battery last for 15 months instead of 6 years as it is seen in the USA? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://auto.howstuffworks.com/under-the-hood/vehicle-maintenance/often-replace-car-battery.htm&ved=2ahUKEwj7q_Wvh7HhAhXSqHEKHY7HBuUQFjAEegQIDRAI&usg=AOvVaw00dHtxyAQbHVhRchYfENSQ |

When is the expiry date? |
zoedew:Coscharis don't sell brand new cars, in fact no dealer sells brand new cars. Any car made and not sold immediately is used brand new car. |
This is not the first of its kind in Nigeria. We trucked the first one, 2019 model customized for Nigerian fuel in January this year from Owerri to Lagos. The owner took it to Owerri for Xmas and he claimed that he paid 140m for duty. The car uses regular unleaded fuel. The bad thing about it was I told myself that I will drive a Rolls Royce today only for my driver to enter the car and roll it down from the truck. I shouted, ha village people...... |
Awolowo86:No, it will not work. Use Total mvlv |
Solatium:Atf ws is the recommended oil. Use Total mvlv |
Mobil 1 0w40, for Mercedes class 2012 |
Solatium:Did you use any brand that is not suitable for the car? |
