Tough question. Buy the Lexus since you are using it for a month and resell. A diesel engine is good even with the dirty diesel but to sell it quickly is the issue unless the circle where you hang out might make the difference.

This guy's don't know that new cars are so complex that even car dealers cant fix. The CAN bus system is the one I hate as it needs a scope to diagnose it has confused my scan tool so many times. It's not about fixing you must know the engineering of cars inside out.

And they expect you to send a quote for the job that even the owner of the car does not know what is going on. They will tell you say I dey hear one noise for the engine and I want you to give me quote. Even herbalist wey dey use laptop nor go see that noise talk less of hearing it

When I was doing this type of job, I was a regular customer in Panti to the extent the police were calling me federal government as the cases always ended in my favor. When you delegate a job that is not within your control to another, you will have to carry many crosses.

This is a very good idea. I also hope that you or someone else in your founding team is very good with automobiles and very proficient in car repairs himself. With advanced cars, it takes more than just vetting mechanics. Many don't know what they are doing and you could go to prison if you ruin someons car by repairing especially if you don't have liability insurance. Cars are very complicated today. They are getting worse especially since the introduction of CAN bus systems so have someone proficient on your team.

Besides there's an issue with your pricing system so it's gonna be very hard getting reliable mechanics. Cars are very complicated now and require some insane expensive tools to fix. No one is going to buy all those tools and then charge a pittance. You are just starting anyway and you would learn as you go by but be prepared it's not gonna be easy at all.

That's a good advice. I get such proposals from a group and they tell me to send a quote. What quote? For a car that you have not seen and even the owner does not know the oil that was used to service the car. Maybe the new start up is focusing on Toyota cars where plugs are sold for 3k but I know that laser plugs are sold for 5k a piece for Toyota. So where do you factor the lowest price from? Plan well before you enter the business if not na panti go be your branch office.

To be on the safe side, change the oil when the car is cold, like after 3 hours. But it is a myth.

The gear is working very good and select smoothly but sometimes I noticed some sound from d gear when I shift it to drive and no sound when shifted to neutral.
Today I checked the gear oil I noticed is somehow dirty.

What can be done pls

Change the oil and gear filter. Total atf is a dexron 6, it will be ideal for your car

Recently bought a 2007 Pontiac vibe. Toks. So i changed the oil for the first time yesterday,and after following the car dealer's advice,i poured in the Mobil 20w50 (facepalm). Shortly after the sound of the engine changed,im nt even kidding. Got worried and flipped through the manual of the car,and saw that the recommended is ONLY 5w30 (another facepalm).
Im really worried.
Now that the mobil is already in use..should i just continue using it until the engine gets used to it or i shld revert immediately?
The Quartz 9000 price is on the high side tbh.

You know what to do. Use the recommended oil. Total q9000 is 5w40. Look for 5w30 gasoline engine only and you will enjoy the car

Diesel Range Rover Sport are now a common sight but every owner must be careful. Boost the diesel with cetane booster and diesel fuel injector cleaner at all times to prevent expensive repairs. A nozzle costs over 120k when the dirty diesel in the country begins to manifest. Prevention is better than cure

Sorry about the mix, 2013 Camry is WS. Let me have your contact and I will send it to Total lubricant manager for him to direct you to where you will get some. Or you can tell someone to get it for you in Lagos and send it to you. The Total station by Sheraton is always stocked with the fluid. It is the best oil in town. I would also recommend Pure guard atf. It is on Jumia. But try Total for easy access
