Use engine flush. It will remove the sludge and then use 5w30 SJ engine oil. Look for it and if you cant get it, upgrade to API SN 5w30. Gazzuzz will still chop for the money as he will sell you the oil. If he is still doing shakara, get in touch with me and I will buy it from him and add my commission. I sell good engine flush too. One from Holts UK. It looks like engine oil but very good and the other is from the US, Jensen, big and very powerful. They all work for 5 mins and you are good to go

Exercise in futility. Diesel engines in the UK for this model will buy a 2010 range sport. Give me for my tow truck business. Dont start what you cant finish. Or look towards mainland Europe like Italy and France or even Switzerland

20 years ago, I was at the Geneva Motor Show in Geneve and it was a very beautiful outing as I saw the premiere of the Maybach in 1998. I asked the Mercedes guys there a pertinent question, why are you launching this car when you just launched the new Mercedes S class in 1998. They can never go hand in hand. 20 years down, the question has been justified. I have only seen the Maybach in a showroom in Victoria Island in 2011 and never on the road. They say the Germans make good cars but their strategy for producing two high class models and selling it side by side has not actually worked. I remember that the drivers will be sent to Germany to learn how to operate the equipment in the car before being allowed to drive it. I was wondering that why will a man who pays his driver 50k send his driver to Germany to learn how to drive a car? Will the driver return back after training? That is another story.

Before the arrival of the wonderful Range Rover sport in Nigeria in 2005, I paid a visit to Coscharis Showroom and garage in Kirikiri in my capacity as a journalist and our discussions were an eye opener. But alas for our oils and then our fuel, because we just migrated to unleaded fuel. They told me that the case of blocked catalyst has reduced since the phasing out of the leaded fuel.
Now we find some guys using 20w50 on their Range and they will blame their mechanics but the reality is that they are pleased with the cheap maintenance and in the long run destroy the wonderful rides. Lets get this right. How much is the oil shortage per 1000 miles?

Does the 20w50 oil prevent shortage of oil? I believe your car requires 5w20 too. When you wabt to flush, use redex engine flush or johnsen engine flush. I sell the two brands. Abd it is known that Toyota oil is synthetic blend and so should not be classified as full synthetic. Why not get in touch with Gazzuzz to get you Mobil 1 5w20 oil. Using visco 2000 is increased destruction to your engine.

If you use the right oil, good but what is the right oil? Which vehicle brand is yours and what brand of oil have you been using. Engine flush depends on the one you choose to use. Are you talking about abro?

I saw one at Obalende struggling with the owner of a toyota sienna to remove the car key. In the middle of the bridge into Ikoyi. I came down and asked the lastma guy why he has resorted to this car snatching. He said that the guy dropped someone on the road and that is why he pursued him, entered his car and wanted to remove the key. I gave the driver my number and told him that if he is not released, he should call me. Guess he was left to go. The Governor has told them that minor infractions should be ignored in order to ensure free flowing traffic and the guy was creating serious traffic impediment by trying to remove the key of a moving car while dragging the steering with the owner. You have been using the wrong oil in your car and therefore there is sludge in the engine. Use engine flush to remove the sludge and use the right oil pasted on the cover of the oil cover

Let the seller come out to defend this. Have personally tested this oil on personal rides.and the oil was a huge disaster. I test run these bunch of useless oil.am an engineer and that's what the job is all about. Lubex should not be left out too

You are right. I have always classified these oils as ororo. A destroyer of engines. Standards Organisation is at fault here. Allowing all sorts of oils to destroy our vehicles

As a practitioner, we see sludge all the time in vehicles that are brought to us. Like you have earlier stated, all the points are valid. I havr seen Range Rovers with sludge to the extent that it has destroyed the engines. My advise is for everyone to use the oil specified by the manufacturer. I saw a baby boy honda v6 and the oil specification was 5w20 api sj. I said wao, how can this be? Meanwhile the owner was busy using the mineral oils all these years. He will need to change the engine now.

If it vibrates with the ac on, then adjust the camshaft on the throttle inlet until it is ok. Atf z1 is what the manufacturer says and unfortunately it is no longer produced by Honda. But we have Syngard which is ideal for your car

Some comments by someone here claiming he knows something about Engine oil but he absolutely knows NOTHING! Castrol Engine Oil is absolutely the best among others. Check your car manual to see the range of Castrol Engine oil recommended for your car or use your google.

Oando now has a 5w30, but I dont know if it is the same of the same or a real deal. Any oil that states it is for diesel and petrol, it is not fit for Toyota and Honda . It must have that sign For Gasoline Engines. If it does not have, please waka pass

I remember that I was once in their office in Ikoyi to advise them to withdraw these oils. Castrol states that 0w20 and 5w20 are synthetics while the 5w30 are synthetic blend. If it has been upgraded, let him show us the link. If Castrol edge is the current oil, why are they selling API SN ILSAC 4 when according to Castrol, ILSAC 5 overides all older oils. This is an Eterna oil product licensed from South Africa and from what I can recollect, even though SA assemble cars, their auto market is totally different from our market and so they cant dictate the type of oil for Nigerian auto industry.
