bigbauer:Truck or car? |
I will suggest you deal with the company instead of not trying to understand. You have the sympathy of everyone on the forum so just wait for their response or go the whole way and call out the person you paid to and take them to court over a car that you have already sold back to the sane dealer and collected money for that same car. |
Hayastark:that is what their rep said. I am not a staff. Why did you not post the name of the person you had the transaction with.and the acct you paid money into. |
We just discovered that it is the same issue with hondas and kias sold locally. I have been trging to reach Toyota Nigeria but will surely do that before our next radio program. The strange thing according to a nairalander is that the toyotas sold locally requires 91 ron unleaded fuel. All toyotas from Dubai uses premium fuel and when imported into the country, with the heavy 20w50 oil, that car is gone |
Una still dey this matter? The bottom line is what do we do to make naija used cars reliable. Toyota 2010 Us specs recommends 0w20 engine oil api sn while the naija used bought here tells them to use 20w50 api sl. And we are not making people understand the consequence of using mineral oils on newer cars under the guise of hot weather. The usage of the oil for prolonged period now destroys the engine and so the next buyer will find it difficult to maintain the car and so it becomes an issue to everyone. |
As you can read from their rep, they don't sell cars and they are taking necessary measures to sanction the said culprit whom she has not even revealed. And moreover the new buyer has not come out to give account of the wahala he is facing. The said car is no longer with her and so let her go through the mechanism with Cars45 to bring out the dealer and make the dealer pay. Do you think free lawyer can win cases like this inside this hot weather? |
Cosplay:He said five years ago and he is still enjoying the car. My question is what special care are you putting on that car because one day, that car will be naija used.[ quote author=Hayastark post=65649310] I couldn't listen to your program. What did they have to say for themselves[/quote]We later agreed for another time because the tension was high and it was not ideal as at the moment. Hopefully next week they will talk about their services and how to avoid this type of issue. But they actually have a good concept and we should advice them to improve their acts. |
Car dealers or car owners. Who uses the cars? |
The matter is being resolved hopefully and una try for the matter if not i nor go for read am. Lets all work towards making naija used cars to be reliable. I was told that Toyota recommends 20w50 api sl oil for new toyotas. We can see where the problem lies. And these same Toyotas are to use premium unleaded fuel in Nigeria. Oil and fuel wahala in a toyota is trouble. Sludge and carbon everywhere.... |
You need to use the right oil irrespective of price. Imagine buying fuel at 145 and wasting it because of wrong cheap oils. Get in touch with Gazzuzz on 08033910382. I also buy from him sometimes. |
angels09:Abro is a name you will want to use for any product. I can decide to produce an oil and they will make it for me under their name and most of their products are imported by Coscharis. You can get to buy the battery from Coscharis that were made in 2010 and sold as new. You can get abro dex atf which is suitable for 1980 cars and being sold in 2018. We know those whose power steerings and gearboxes have been destroyed by using abro. Their engine flush is another matter. So it is a continous policy to destroy the cars that uses their brand. I was at Peugeot office and their new 3008 and 508 recommends Total activa quartz and that oil does not exist in Nigeria. We will advise owners of peugeots to use Mobil 1 esp 5w30 for all their oil needs. |
Live streaming will do. They are not responding to that issue but letting the buying public to know all about their services. I dont speak for helpishere. I am intervening to help other motorists to be sure of what they want to buy before buying. |
My intervention in this matter has made cars45 to agree to come to our radio program this afternoon and talk about their services. Tune in by 3.06pm this afternoon on radio 1 103.5 fm on autowatch on radio |
We have contacted cars45 and they will respond to all inquiries on our radio program 103.5 fm radio 1 this afternoon on autowatch on radio by 3.06 pm. Join us and air your displeasure to them |
If abro is producing synthetic, run from it |
Lyoncrescent:Hmm that is true but I think the Op will not get anything from a vin check because a right hand car will not be on any database in anywhere in the world. And the reason they returned the car was not because of the year difference but because of the overheating that led to other issues. The Op has learnt her lesson and should move on. I was once contracted to inspect a range rover sport in Berger last year. The traffic there was horrible and so I did not go with my scanner. We saw the car and it was a european spec and they fixed the swiss sticker at the back and there was no antipollution sticker or highway sticker. The whole set up was more confusing when the mileage was reading 84000km. Too good to be true and it was sold for 7m. The car was brought to the workshop and we discovered that the mileage was actually 284000kms and the car was a german spec not swiss. I was apologising to the buyer for my mistake. |
Let me come in here. Ac does not make a car to overheat. Did you go with your mechanic as they alway advice or you went there with DH who runs a workshop? And all through the period the car was with you, did you check the water level and the fans? Did the driver on Uber complain of overheating on sunday or monday? Because on these days, he used the ac and there was fuel and there was a new battery. My gurus in the house, how long will it take for a car to overheat when the ac is put on? |
Read the tyre out, 275/40/20/111? That last figure will determine if your supercharged is using the right tyre or not. |
Not yet, but will do that this week and see what they have produced |
Funny matter. They ask you to use 20w50 mineral oil on a car that requires premium fuel. Therein lies all the problem we have concerning cars in Nigeria. If they recommend api sl oil on a 2012 car that requires premium unleaded, wahala dey |
Thanks my guy. The mod must really be eating ethiopian chat and it is affecting his capacity to moderate a forum. Volvos60, I will respond to your comment later but please help me check your owner's manual if the fuel type is lead or unleaded |
VolvoS60:You are very correct but how can mobil 1 esp be expensive at 14k? The mobil 1 Usa has different types but the ones that rings a bell is the advanced full synthetic and the extended performance. That is even higher than the esp. For the esp, it is the only oil recommended for Peugeot cars and not the synthetic blend total q9000 that will damage the engine. Last friday, I was performing carbon cleaning on a 2008 camry and the sludge in that engine was very thick. When we opened the oil chamber , at the top, there was even no sight of the oil in the engine. Using cheap oils are harmful to your engines and you should please use the recommended oil for your car. The issue with the European oil is that they are not made for US specs of automobiles. Same way, US oil producers can't make oil for European cars except it is explicitly stated. The Us specs cars is dominant in the Nigerian auto space and therefore the engine oils should be for those cars it was made for. We are now on Tv on Autoxpat channel 255 mitv on sundays at 7pm for infomation about your car.. Stay tuned. balogz:It will work well with your car but if price is a factor, yku might regret those 20w 50 oils that you put in your car |
Nairalanddist:kill because he has been scammed? Haba, the guy is a christian and not a church goer. Bringing the issue online was to warn others who might be interested in doing business with the scammer or rather the thief. The thief already has his reward, he can no longer excel.... |
No total oil for the peugeot. Look for dexron iv transmission fluid. Peugeot 407 does not use dexron 111, its equivalent is dexron iv.i |
Get in touch with Gazzuzz. The mobil 1 5w20 is not the same as the 5w30. You were right to have rejected that. All they want to do is to sell their oil without minding the effect of the oil on the engines. |
It is not my car nor my engine that is drinking that oil. At least you are bringing work to me as anyone using your oil will eventually cry out and we will now recommend that they drain that oil quickly and use better oils. So either way, i win |
Doneiap:Why should I goggle on your behalf. I am not selling any oil but I want Nigerians to be wary of the oil you claim to be premium. Why not bring out the specifications of the Api SN you sell. For you to highlight the Api SM means that you are just a trader that sells oil without minding the consequence of your hustle. Nigerians are not smiling anymore as per engines failures and it will be better to change your trade than to cause unwarranted pains to your fellow Nigerians. |
Two different occasions one on Benin auchi and the other time at lokoja okene |
snipesdam:You got me there. But contrary to what you think. I have been dusted by a corolla bank type on 2 occasions when I was cruising at 180km on different highways on my previous car E240. I got to Abuja and gave out the car and took night bus back to Lagos. |
snipesdam:I quoted mine as a template to know your fuel consumption. Like you rightly stated, 14\100kms . Do likewise when calculating the fuel consumption because you cannot say i bought 3k fuel when you are not even sure you got the value because the stations that sell fuel do not fear God and so must have sold you 2200 naira fuel. That said, the RRS is a 4.4litre v8 sweet fuel efficient ride. When you are driving on that your speed of 130km, I will be cruising and dust past you. That is the difference in that fuel. Driving and cruising. All fuel are not the same o. One is for driving while the other is for cruising. |
I used to have 42 litres for 306kms in a Range Rover Sport. Do your calculations. Lagos to Akure. |

For this reason I decided to try out Liquimoly - went to Liquimoly rep in Nigeria to buy some stock from them but they were not ready to do business - rather poor customer service on their part.
