No doubt, digression/derailing as u called it adds a little spice to this thread especially as e come be love matter...but calling someone names is just taking it too far. Only u talk say u fit meet ur life partner someday, sometime, somehow, somewhere...na only life partner u dey find abihuh Calm down with the name calling, thats all...

Amefrica: And you think here would be this interesting, if there was no digression/derailing?

You get to meet your life partner/hubby, someday, sometime, somehow and somewhere..

Bros abeg no be so ooo...since when did we start to dish out insults? Besides, its really becoming a bore. Here inspired me to get my trv, not to come n fall in love. (Which is a good thing) but I'm sure a thread can be created specifically for that...ease up dude

Amefrica: Who's this smelling hater?! undecided If it's getting boring, can't you just shut ur mouth and shove ur opinion back to ur bushy a'ss.

Low life snitch always think they have a say. Grow Up and get a life!

Fhemmmy: I think it is better you just buy enough to last you for your trip and i dont think you would need more than 200$ (feeding and maybe you feel like buying something on the way) you could withdraw using your UBA card here and the charges is not much at all, but the Nigerian bank will charge you though.
Fhemmmy I hail o! Talking about money for the trip...shebi I need to present financial proof at the POE? And if yes, is it the same bank statement I used during my application that I should presenthuh

Lexmikey, if u are having trouble uploading ur files, I'll advice u get a faster internet, that cic website requires a very fast one.
Also I found this site very useful when I had to reduce my documents http://compress.smallpdf.com/
Make sure ur documents are properly titled n saved in the right format eg LEXMIKEY BANK STATEMENT.pdf
Lastly, get either a firstbank or GTB mastercard for payment, I'm not sure abt other banks.

lexmikey: thanks a lot,oyo no be my portion hence the difficulty I had in reviewing and making payment.if not I would have been thinking of withdrawing my application and reappliying.that's another 210CAD.with all document due arranged in PDF and uploaded,I am still stuck with review and payment step which has refused to load.I am letting my profile on cic cool off till monday for retrial.I would however appreciate any suggestion on how to proceed beyond this upload document. Phase I am stuck in

ChriGo: ...@Spantan 300...does ur course have coop?...
U make a strong point sha! No, my course doesn't have coop.
But what if after graduating, I apply for a work permit (1yr) n as u said, 6months goes by before work show, can I den extend my study permit (Msc now) n do both (work + skol) at the same time? Or I should just hang on, complete both programs (PDG + Msc *2 years plus now*) then now apply for a work permit. All this talk na just over calculating sha, but its best not to dive in blindly abi?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by sparta300(m): 8:54am On Dec 02, 2013
quote author=PlayPays]

YES[/quote]Mhen... that link u dropped was very insightful, thanks!
Just to be clear, my main purpose of going to canada is to bag an Msc but since I no gree read book when I dey uniport, I'm left with the option of doing a PGD first (Wireless Telecommunication *8 months*) then make the transistion to Msc.
But I still can't wrap my head why Chrigo is insisting that doing a 2yrs coop seems to be a good choicehuh
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by sparta300(m): 11:52pm On Dec 01, 2013
kayconsult: @ champion don't worry, you are on the right track if you are going in for a year PGD. There are lots of provincial nominee program for international students who are studying for their master or post graduate program, this depends on the province you intend schooling in. For instance, those that will be schooling in ontario can use the PNP to fast track there permanent residence permit.upon graudation and having gotten a job offer, your employer will fill a form called the pre-screen application form on your behalf, once this is done, you will then submit the form with other supplementary document to cic. Note the fee for internation student is $1,500,as soon as your application is positive, gbam, you will be a permanent resident holder with almost all the full benefits of a canadian citizen.
The bold part...does that mean that a PR's tutition fee will be cheaper as compaired to an international student?

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by sparta300(m): 9:03am On Nov 28, 2013
onos9ice: Hello house,
How do I prove that I'll be coming bak to Nigeria afta my studies. And how do I increase my family ties.
Are u married? If so that will be a plus, include ur marriage certificate.
Having a STRONG SOP will do, make sure it tells the VO exactly why u even want to leave in the first place. Your family picture could also prove family ties.
Landed properties is also a good way of showing home ties.

But personally, I applied via online n I didn't need to present any landed properties or a family picture, I just submitted a well written SOP stating clearly that I am going to return.

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by sparta300(m): 4:13pm On Nov 22, 2013
Little advice for those seeking off campus accomodation, proximity to school should be ur priority. With the way pple dey complain abt the cold, u don't want to be trekking long distances to school or as Oga siga talk, dey cry for bus stop. Try n get somewhere very close to school, not only will it save u bus fare, it will also save u tears. LOL

Ps: I no for mind travelling companion ooh!

As at today 16th oct, if u have ur admission letter with u, I don’t see why u shouldn't give it a try.
Online takes abt 6weeks if everything goes according to plan, I'm guessing the Jan 2014 start date will be the first week of jan so do d math, u cud still make it. No be long
