Politics › Re: Picture Of Eleko Of Eko, In London, England Circa, 1950s. by spiralwedge(m): 7:31pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
Mynd44: Wrong. The Eleko of Eko is different from the Oba of Lagos but in a way similar. The difference is the control they have.
The Eleko's territory is limited to Lagos Island and environs but that changed when the constitution made the crown the head of all traditional crowns in Lagos state. At this point, the Oba of Lagos was coined as the Oba of Lagos is the Oba of Lagos State not just Lagos Island like the Eleko .you are right. but same person wears these crowns and bears these titles |

seunfly: Who is tribal here? Ambode or Agbaje?
Can you allow such madness in your place? Chris Ingige lost senate presidency position not because he incited Yoruba against Igbo or he embarrassed any eze or he claimed anambra for Yoruba, but because he belongs to a party they did not believed in. What would have happened to him if he does what Agbaje did. The same Ingige incedence is happening to rochas.
I think Yorubas has tried enough for non_Yorubas in their land, they voted for Igbo federal house of rep, choose igbos as commissioners in strategic position and paid school fees, medical bills and so many things we don't even know. Yet you turn against the same people because of jonathan's loss.
In Osun, Akwa ibom woman won house of rep not because she a Yoruba woman, same thing with Igbo man made commissioner in kwara state during Muhammed lawal's term not because they are more than 10% but they are humbly part and parcel of the society, people appreciates their contribution and love them. But if they want to force them self on them and flex mustle in their own land who will tolerate that nonsense. Such attitude causes self awareness and reaccessment for a care free society and it breeds hostility. I love you |

PDP is going to sweep all the state house of assembly just as in march 28th election even after the election, they still have 6 good weeks (before May 29th) to impeach his smelly a.ss |

APC is supposed to ignore PDP campaign of ethnic propaganda. The truth is that, all the igbos votes alone in Lagos is not enough to bring anybody in.
What I do not understand is if Agbaje is Igbo. if Agbaje is not Igbo, all this is just lame.
For crying out loud, there are people from all tribes in Lagos. why is a particular non-indigenous tribe feeling too important? |

kaboninc: The hate is just too musshh.
On the 28th, during the Presidential Election, in my community, the Igbos came out to vote the PDP! So APC was like this election is between the Igbos and APC. Loool.
That election cost them their slot in the House of Rep and installed an Igbo lady, Rita Orji to represent our constituency.
That's the power of the collective will of the people and now they are so scared it might repeat itself come Saturday, April 11. For the first time, the PDP came close to the APC in Lagos.
Like Jimi said,"people who threaten you, knowingly or unknowingly, further validate your importance and underscore advantage." what is this one saying? igbos vs. APC? hahaha... the last time I checked, neither GEJ nor Agbaje was Igbo. u sound confused |

happybrother, your comment to my last post only vindicated my submission and nothing else. I am not talking about Igbo being successful or not. I am not talking about civil war. I am not talking about what you endured. bros, wake up.. it is 2015. about 40years after.
For emphasis sake, I am talking of crude ethnic sentimentality. I am talking of inability to politically emancipate and integrate. I am talking about lack of strategy I am talking of SE feeling victimized, marginalized, instead of taking responsibility for her actions/inactions.... I am talking about discerning selfish leaders and people not thinking for themselves. I am talking about looking for competence and other good qualities over tribe or history. |
Politics › Re: Buhari’s Victory: Jostling For Positions Begin by spiralwedge(m): 12:12am On Apr 06, 2015 |
I foresaw this situation since last year. I was angry that while progressives from all parts of the country were forming a merger of a substantial opposition to PDP, the SE was against. The SE rather preferred to be ethnic sentimental and funny enough, claimed GEJ to be one of his own... when obviously he is not. The SE is holding Nigeria back. And that's the truth. Back to topic, please give them IG post at best. Whatever is the case, let them bear the consequences of their action. /lack of strategy/ unemancipation/ethnic sentimentality. |

I just want you to know that even though your wife thinks you are innocent, she's always gonna be suspicious about you. You have given her mind the realest thing to worry about. How can she be secure when girls are throwing themselves on you while she is away? How can she be sure you would not have eventually conceded if the nurse persisted a little bit more? How can she be too sure you are able to abstain when she is away, especially if you had not allowed her fully move into that same country with you? |
