jaxxy:

Yes there are other culprits sometimes, bad traffic law enforcement and not enough re-education for drivers especially commercial drivers.
The government should enforce that the bus stop is on the service lane. Danfo drivers parked to pick passengers on the expressway at Cele sometimes taking over 2 lanes leaving only one lane for incoming vehicles. At times, they even tried to join the fast lane back without mindful of the incoming vehicles. To make matter worse, they are fond of passing one way from Cele back to Second Rainbow. Even making U-turn on the expressway. Since last week most of them have been passing one way because of the road construction. Possible he was passing one way judging by the opposite direction the Danfo was facing as opposed to the truck and the other two private cars. The truck driver saw him late and tried to avoid a head on collision by climbing the culvert, thereby tilting over and dropping the containers on the Danfo bus and the other vehicles. Government agencies should enforce order especially at Cele bus stop against one way driving and illegal parking of buses to pick up passengers

Foreign Affairs / Re: Heritage Foundation Says US Military Is WEAK And Unable To Win War (Pics) by spymaster(m): 1:03pm On Oct 24, 2022
Western doctrine is to underestimate their military strength so that the Generals can ask Congress/parliament for more money to buy more weapons. Create a form of mass hysteria about the fearsome weapons that the enemy has just to oil the machineries of defense contractors & military industrial complexes.

The Russians/Chinese/North Korea doctrine is to overestimate/hype their military strength so as to serve as a form of deterrence against the enemy. Boast of fearsome weapons that you do not have or are in development so that the enemy can fear you and desist from direct attack or against your interest. A form of Sabre- rattling meant to intimidate the enemy by suggesting possible use of overwhelming force.

This Sabre-rattling has worked for many years with Western bloc respecting the conventional forces of the Eastern bloc, until Putin decided to upend the myth with the dismal performance of his forces in Northern Ukraine.

Don't be surprised if it was a defence contractor that sponsored this report so that Congress can approve more funding for new weapons that they will benefit from.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Russians Flee Country To Avoid Being Sent To Front Line By Putin (photos) by spymaster(m): 10:47pm On Sep 22, 2022
The Russian federation is made up of 53 republics who are currently under internal colonization by the ethnic Russians. Even in the war, the highest numbers of Russian deaths have been from the poorer republics in Russia. Russia is still the only country in the world that has colonies. The colonization started during the reign of Tsar Peter 1 down to Catherine the Great and continued to the Bolsheviks after the Russian Revolution. Till now those republics have never been granted independence. Do you know why there is currently conflicts between former Soviet republics (Armenia Azerbaijan; Tajikistan Kyrgyzstan, South Ossetia/Abkhazia Georgia; Lithuania Kaliningrad)?. That was because during the Russian colonization of those countries, they expelled a lot of indigenous people from their homes in border communities moved a lot of ethnic Russians to fill those places. In short they created enclaves and exclaves and then buffers in those land. That is why there are Russian speakers in almost all the former Soviet republics. Once Russia see that you don't align with their interests, they will forment trouble and then invade your country saying they are protecting ethnic Russia speaking people. These were people that forcefully expel the original inhabitants and took over their lands. This is not about western propaganda, but real fact why Russia is at odds with his constituent republics and neighbors. Agreed that the West are no saints, but saying that Russia is a victim is being ignorance of the fact.

That's great. Without being modest, my 3 year old daughter already knows the first 20 elements, Theory of relativity, S.I Unit measurements of speed, acceleration, force, pressure, current, resistance and temperature, rivers and mountains as well as interest in geography and astronomy. The key is teaching them when young. The brain of a little child can absorb anything. You just need to put things there whether it is Naira Marley lyrics or science or maths you want for your child. I teach her new things everyday while also making her remember what she learnt the previous day. Whenever I am driving her and her elder sister to school, we do a recap of everything. Now they find it enjoyable and are making me proud.

Politics / Re: 30 Soldiers Killed In Mainok As Boko Haram Sacks Military Base In Borno by spymaster(m): 8:00am On Apr 26, 2021
Boko Haram is no longer fighting a gureilla war, but a conventional war. There's a need for us to change tactics. I do not subscribe to the idea of a Super camp for the military as it makes them vulnerable to attack. Boko Haram is no longer a rag tag army as we are made to believe. Man for man, weapon for weapon, the Nigeria Army is better, however it is the battlefield tactics and commanders that Boko Haram triumph. Boko Haram commanders are veterans of the Libya and Syria wars. So many times, the attack on our troops have been calculated. They attack from 3-4 directions using advance troops that can be sacrified. Boko Haram commanders staying afar from the battle noticed where there's high concentration of power and where there's weak concentration. Boko Haram then attack in mass at the weak concentration with majority of their forces. Because our troops lack battlefield discipline due to inexperienced recruits, the line will collapse and the super camp overrun. They will continue to be sitting ducks at the supercamp. The troops must also learn from the collapse of the Iraqi army in Mosul or the Sierra Leone Army/ECOMOG during the RUF uprising in Freetown. Just like the fall in Damasak, attack starts from the weak point with greater mass. Using civilians as cover, they can rapidly advanced on our troops location. With the confusion, our troops falls into disarray and retreat to the next super camp leaving the town to Boko Haram. Even if our troops manage to repel them, Boko Haram purposefully keep another unit of their troops in the rearguard. They deliberately allow our troops to pursue them and then drag them into an ambush with their rearguard troops. We have lost so many troops to Boko Haram using this tactics.
For those of us still rejoicing about the Super Tucano jets, we should be cautious as airpower has never truly defeated the enemy in most warfare. The US army learned a bitter lesson in the Battle of Iwo Jima and Saipan during the World War 2.
We need to change our approach to battle if we want to defeat the enemy. We need better battlefield tactics as well as intelligent field commanders. Our best should lead the troop and appointment must not be based on nepotism. If we can get military advisers from the West or Israel, it will be an added advantage. War has gone past dashing advances in battle, but calculated approach that will anticipate every moves of the enemies. A group of sheep commanded by a lion can defeat a group of lion commanded by a sheep. #Victoryforourgallanttroop

If you believe the story that the kidnapped pupil, Adewale Rasaq escaped from kidnappers as the family was in negotiation with his kidnapper, you are a joker. I can confidently tell you that 99% of all "escaped" kidnapped victims paid ransom.

I am a joker because I believed the boy escaped. If you watched the news on TV yesterday, he narrated how he escaped when his abductors left him with a younger boy of the same age with him. What we should be concerned about is the Nigeria Army that claimed to rescue a boy that had already escaped from his captors. They found the boy, not rescued the boy

Politics / Yorubaland: A Call For Sober Reflection Before We Destroy Ourselves by spymaster(m): 5:31pm On Oct 30, 2020
This is really a bad time for the Yoruba nation and Nigeria as a whole as events of the past two weeks has revealed a lot of fault lines in the political, economical and security systems in the country. For the first time in a long time, the youths were able to organized themselves to challenge the existing order. The loss of lives and properties are regrettable and one wonders why it has to take so much destruction just to make a point. The inactions at first and subsequently high handed actions against peaceful protesters rather than hoodlums worsened the situation leading to chaos and further breakdown of law and order.

We have seen hordes of armed youths and thugs marauding round neighborhoods destroying properties and everything that stood in their way. The youths that the government failed to train with quality education or provide employment to are the ones now causing so much havoc to the system.

The South west cannot say the youths just sprung up from nowhere. The signs have been there for so long. How many times have you walked down your street and see boys between the age of 14-24 years doing nothing during working hours than to smoke and drink. Everywhere you go, you will see able bodied young men as “area boys” extorting innocent civilians of their hard earned money. Lagos was even more complicit as Agbero and street urchins are giving free hands to operate in every bus stop extorting money from bus drivers, motorcyclist and tricyclist. So many illegal revenue collectors at every point in the state with everyone of them claiming legitimacy from the government or one Politicians or Area father.

The Politicians created these monsters as they are willing tools for them during election or unleashing violence on their opponents. You will see State Governors celebrating thugs while academia are ignored. There are now cases of Agberos employing graduates. Musicians celebrate these thugs, religious leaders give them front seat. Sometimes to be a thug is more profitable than a salary earner. The Bible says blessed are the peacemakers, but in Nigeria, it is the troublemakers that are blessed and honoured than the peacemakers. The omoluabi ethos that the Yoruba are known for is long dead. Materialism and worship of money has trump integrity and hardwork.

The looting of COVID 19 warehouse in some states shows the hunger and desperation in the land. Even security operatives joined in the sharing of the palliative. Someone joked that the crowd only helped the government save logistics cost for distribution by going to the warehouse themselves and that this is the first time that the masses will loot food belonging to the same masses. You now see Nigerians turned to COVID 19 palliative warehouse hunters as they are searching from one part of the State to another. Bursting palliative warehouse seems to be the new employer of mass labour in town. One of the State government put out a statement that they were waiting for people from Abuja to come and flag off the campaign before distribution, as if hunger will wait for someone from Abuja before killing the person. Everywhere you go, you will see poverty, hunger, anger and deprivation. Poverty has been weaponised by the politicians. Even a former Governor created a ministry for stomach infrastructure. Make them so poor and impoverished that you can control their destinies during election.

There are no factories to absorb the youths, it is only the Politicians and their families that are empowered during empowerment programs, no jobs as majority are unemployed or underemployed. And yet these politicians expect that the situation will continue forever without a reaction. That the children of the poor they failed to train will allow their children rest and enjoy their loot in peace (Awolowo). The next violence might start from the politicians, their families and assets. Some have learned the hard way in the past few days.

There is serious fire in the mountain. The state Governors will be deluding themselves if they think the problem is over. The violence will erupt again sooner or later as these youths will regroup and unleash mayhem again. If not within the next six months, then in 2023 when there’s expected showdowns between the Godfathers and the contenders. This violence is just a dress rehearsal for 2023 if things persist this way. They should not believe the police will contain them again this time. Events of this past days have shown that the police can be overwhelmed. The mob have demystified the police, traumatized and brutalized them. The era of being afraid of the police is over. Any extra judicial killing can be met with overwhelming and deadly force by youths who are no longer afraid of death. The weakness of the police has been exposed, that with superior numbers, they can overrun the police killing them and burning their police stations.

We must therefore not wait for the next violence to erupt as we must be proactive to forestall any further anarchy. The Yoruba nation must convene a regional conference that will be modelled after a national conference. The conference will consist of representatives from South West Governors, elected representatives, traditional rulers, religious groups, business groups, captains of industries, market women, youths, people with disabilities, labour unions, informal sectors, community leaders and others. They are to sit for a specific time frame with siting allowance voluntary so as not to turn it to a jamboree. They are to discuss on South West security, relationship with the other regions and tribes, economic prospects, food security, agriculture, youth employment, targets for our elected Representatives (budget implementation, youth quota in politics, women representation), defined role for traditional rulers in security, Yoruba in a post resource control and post restructuring era, religious tolerance, education curriculum, revamping of defunct factories and agricultural settlements all over South west, support for informal sectors, artisans and technician with dedicated budgetary allocation, Yoruba in diaspora, foreign direct investment, gas line, optic fibre lines to all South Western States, creation of technology hubs in major cities, judicial reforms among others.

The conference will come up with a paper on policies that will be binding on every elected representatives, leaders and all Yoruba people. The paper shall be taught in our schools, available in our libraries, government offices and online. The conference should issue a joint communique and position to the rest of the nation on their position about the union, restructuring, true federalism, resource control and security. This should not be about any party or political affiliation. We must speak with one voice as we did during the creation of Amotekun. We should be prepared for any opposition as our enemies within and without will seek to derail us because of selfish or regional interest. We must however be resolute as we face an existential threat that can consume us all. This is for the future of our land, the future of our children and the future of our heritage. The future is certainly written in gold for Yorubaland.

Politics / 9 Prosperous States In Nigeria Vs 12 Highly Miserable States - Bismarck Rewane by spymaster(m): 10:16am On Oct 08, 2020
The Financial Derivatives Company Limited (FDC), Mr. Bismarck Rewane, has stated that only nine states in the country could be classified as fairly prosperous.

These states, according to him, are Kwara, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Ed, Lagos and Anambra

Rewane made this statement in a paper titled “NIGERIA: Resource Rich & Cash Poor; Plenty Potential …Little Actual,” which he presented to mark the 60th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria.

He also said 12 states fell within the category of highly miserable in the country. These states are Yobe, Borno, Jigawa, Kano, Bauchi, Gombe, Plateau, Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto, Zamfara and Niger.

The remaining 15 states, namely Katsina, Kebbi, Kaduna, FCT, Nasarawa, Kogi, Benue, Enugu, Delta, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Rivers and Ebonyi, were classified as fairly miserable.

Anambra State, according to him, has the least incidence of poverty in the country with 14.2 per cent while Taraba State scored the highest on the misery index with 39.1 per cent.

The prosperity/misery index, as presented by Rewane, showed the level of prosperity or poverty in the country. Hundred per cent on the index represented perfect or total miseries while zero per cent represents perfect prosperity. Above 40 per cent stand for acute misery or poverty while Nigeria’s average scores of 26.3 per cent fell within the fairly miserable category.
Rewane recommended the emergence of dynamic leadership and strong institutions in order for the country to achieve positive economic outcomes, adding that “Nigeria needs a big-push that could awaken the sleeping giant “to break out of the vicious cycle of poverty.”

The CEO said the big push would provide economic stimulus, eliminate constraint and structural bottlenecks and build robust fiscal and external buffers through fiscal discipline, prudency and diversification of the country’s revenue base

Rewane, however, said that the country is currently faced with a binary choice, which is either to “do nothing” or pursue “revolutionary change” in the management of the economy.

I am not holding brief for Aketi, Whether is propaganda or not, Yahaya Bello of Kogi or Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia never even showcase (propaganda) a fraction of these achievements to be re-elected without sweat. Even Obaseki of Edo didn't propagate half of these and yet was re-elected. If Aketi fails in getting re-elected even with these achievements (or propaganda if we want to alleged), then it means Ondo people have really raised the bar for measuring good governance

Last month, a Lady was having an altercation with a guy at the ATM. There was a long queue and the lady came from nowhere saying she has been around an hour ago but had to quickly go and buy something at the nearby market. The guy she was trying to jump in front of resisted saying he himself could have well gone to the bar and return back an hour later. The lady started insulting the guy and the guy responded by calling her a prostitute. The girl now told the guy that if he calls her a prostitute once again, she will slap him. The guy simply said "Bitch, if you dare slap me, see that bottle over there, I will break it and stab your breast and buttocks and I am ready to go to jail". The girl simply keep quiet when she saw the reaction her action will bring. She just queued at the back of the guy only for the woman at the guy's back to resist saying she has to go back to the end of the line. But this was the woman that was initially asking the guy to let the girl enter his front when the girl was abusing the guy, saying " don't fight with a lady, don't you know she's a woman". The girl had to leave the ATM and go away because she had met her match in the guy.

We should pray not to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Very long ago, a friend invited me to come to his cousin's place to play PS2 back then. The guy just got the place, Behind up house. We were there since morning together with his cousin and three of his friends. My girlfriend had been flashing me on the phone since morning and I had been ignoring to call her back as I didn't have credit. After persistent flashing, you know women, I had to step out of the house to buy credit at a kiosk opposite. As I exited the gate, policemen in three patrol vehicles surrounded the house and arrested everyone. They even found 2 guns with bullets in the house. I had to hide behind the kiosk as they led everyone into the police car hoping no one will shout my name.
Infact the cousin and his friends were paraded on Television while my own friend spent 4 weeks at Panti, before he was released.l was so grateful to God and my girlfriend for saving me. Since then my prayer has been " Olorun ma je ki a si irin rin"

Politics / After The Lockdown, What Is Lagos State Exit Strategy by spymaster(m): 5:53pm On Apr 19, 2020
The president announced extension of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT after more cases of Covid 19 surfaced. Things seems to be moving rapidly as more testing are being carried out and infection rate going up. The same with the death rate, with The COS to the President, Abba Kyari being the latest victim. Just yesterday, over 50 cases in a single day. We are currently not in a better position now, than back then when the president took the decision to extend the lockdown. Now, what happens after the 14 days expires, can the government afford another extension. For the first time in history, a situation arose that is not in the best interest of the political class and the masses. Never has such convergence of interest arise before.

Forget about the noise that the rich and politicians have so much food in their houses that they can rough out the lockdown for months. The political class only derives legitimacy because the people acknowledged that they are the legal authority. Once this is removed, the political class can be overthrown in an uprising or violent revolution. How long can they hold on to that legitimacy when they have hordes of starving citizens. How long can they keep millions in the largest prison in the world without food or means of survival. Don't be fooled by those donating one food or the other. How long will that go in feeding the masses. Some are already eyeing 2023 elections, with their pictures on the donated materials. Don't blame them, even Donald Trump is putting his signature on the IRS cheques being sent to Americans (He must have learned from Nigeria politicians).

When last have we heard about Oshiomole, or Secondus? Even our celebrities that litters the night clubs every night are holed up somewhere. When last has EFCC Magu conducted press briefing and parading 55 Yahoo boys arrested at various locations. Even the Yahoo boys are hibernating and complaining. Most of their would be victims in UK, US and Europe have lost their jobs waiting for Trump's handout. The rich have also been humbled, confined to their homes with their businesses suffering.

The poor are not just hungry, but also angry. The One million boys and Awawa gangs ready to take what's left of their survival food. The security situation showed that people can become armed when pushed to the wall. Men, women and children brandishing various weapons just to defend themselves against robbery gangs. What stopped them from turning those weapons on the police and then their oppressors (The political class) and also rich people when they become hungry, with no hope. The longer the economic hardship persist, the more likely we will be to take the 0.018% odds of death ( current death rate). The more severe the economic contraction, the more likely we will be to take the 0.018% odds of death. Will Nigerians start pressuring politicians to let them get back to living after 14 days of hunger and despair.

The government as a matter of necessity must start making plans to reopen the economy as Nigeria cannot afford extensive lockdown like developed countries. At least, their governments are providing their basic needs( American have started receiving 1200 dollars checks). But what of the spread of the virus? Are we saying that jobs, food and money are more important than our health and life. No, certainly not, but given our peculiarities, we must start phase reopening of the economy after the 2 weeks extension.

Coming down to Lagos State, which is the epicenter of the pandemic and the economic nerve center of the country. Locking down the state indefinitely will do it more harm than the virus. Let the State government map out local governments that did not recorded any cases within this extension period and ease the lockdown in those places. There will still be vehicular restrictions to limit long distance travel, but shops within the streets can reopened. Artisans, Plumbers, carpenters, Tailors, barbers, phone repairers and others can go work but only within the Local Government. Major markets, except food markets might still be closed. Mass gathering still outlawed, decentralized and localized test centers put in place. Strict hygienic measures and social distancing will still be in practice. Other small scale businesses will also be opened. This way, people can make money and have more means of survival rather than rely on handouts that are not forthcoming.

The local economy will start functioning. Once more local governments are also declared free of any case, the same thing will replicate there. The measures can be reviewed if any case props up in those areas. We need to get back our people to work, we need to get our factories working again. The suffering is much and any further extension without means of survival for the ordinary people will lead to chaos. People will revolt and defy the lockdown and in turn endanger every citizens.

Aug 30, 2018 | SBCHROs (Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights & Good Governance Organizations)
(Onitsha Nigeria: 30th August 2018)-It is shocking and heartbreaking observing the unfolding social, political and economic events or activities in Igbo Land of Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Delta (Igbo Delta) and Rivers (Igbo Rivers) as well as other Igbo speaking areas in Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Benue and Kogi States. The most saddening of it all is that these disturbing social happenings are compounded, worsened and escalated on daily basis by chronic leadership failure, selfish, pedestal and clannish politics of the public office holders especially governors and state and federal legislators in Igbo Land.

Particularly saddening and shocking was the recent diversion or relocation, construction, expansion and commissioning (28thAugust 2018) of a gargantuan N90billion ($300M) Budweiser/Hero Beer Breweries in Shagamu, Ogun State, Yoruba Land or Southwest Nigeria. The Brewery; brewers of Hero and Budweiser Beers as well as Grand and Beta Malt, among over half a dozen other alcoholic and soft drinks, was originally attracted to Nigeria in the 90s by former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State in his private capacity as an international investor-businessman. The Company, originally “Sabmiller Breweries” from South Africa, was recently purchased and taken over by AB InBev (Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV), a multinational drinks and brewery holdings company, based in Leuven, Belgium with global net value nof $115 billion.

Recent findings by Intersociety clearly show that the “Hero Beer” and its symbol was made to look as if it is uniquely designed for Igbo Nation and her heroic struggle to wriggle herself out of the age long persecution in the hands of other partners in the “Nigerian Project”. In subsequent informal field investigations carried out in some hotel bars and restaurants in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, for instance, Intersociety found that patronage by members or citizens of the Yoruba Nation associated with “Hero Beer” and her sister products is acutely low; compared to that of citizens of Igbo Nation resident in Lagos State which is very high.

It also means that “Hero Beer” is very unpopular among citizens of the Yoruba Nation because it is designed to look as if it is Igbo friendly, leading to its rightly or wrongly description by some Nigerians including both citizens of Yoruba (negatively) and Igbo (positively) Nations as “Ojukwu De Hero’s Beer”. On the other hand, the products of the Nigerian Breweries such as Heineken, Guilder and Star Beers and Amstel Malt and Maltina soft drinks, etc and the Nigerian Guinness products such as Stout, Harp and Malta Guinness, etc are found to have recorded high patronage among the citizens of the Yoruba Nation because they are not “Igbo or Ojukwu’s beers and soft drinks”. In many restaurants and hotel bars owned by citizens of Yoruba Nation in Lagos, “Hero Beer and associates” were scantly available whereas in those owned by Igbo citizens, reverse was the case.

Where their availability is high in hotel bars and restaurants of Yoruba citizens’ ownership, it was found to be chiefly on account of large patronage by citizens of Igbo Nation and those of South-south and non Muslim Northern Nigeria. In other areas of the Yoruba Nation with scanty presence of resident Igbo citizens, patronage associated with “Hero Beer and associates” is acutely low. During the recently concluded World Cup tournament in Russia during which Hero Beer’s sister: “Budweiser was the global lead sponsor and beer drink”, most of the patronage in Nigeria was drawn from the same friendly and liberal population of Igbo and other non Yoruba stocks.

In other checks carried out to ascertain the rate or percentage of patronage by citizens of the Igbo Nation concerning products of the Nigerian Breweries and those of the Nigerian Guinness (i.e. Harp, Star, Life, Guilder, Heineken and Stout Beers, etc and Maltina, Amstel and Malta Guinness, etc), the patronage was found unchanged with no sign of discrimination or tagging of same by Igbo citizens as “Yoruba Beers and soft drinks”.

The above analysis is therefore presented here to unmask the age long politics of hatred and discrimination going on in Nigeria especially against the Igbo Nation and her citizens. It is consequent upon these unbecoming treatments against the Igbo Nation and her People that Intersociety had in 2016 identified “physical violence, structural violence and cultural violence” as three hydra headed monsters responsible for ordeal which the Igbo Nation and her People had steadily been facing in the country; with Igbo political leaders worsening the situation by either playing to the gallery or becoming complicit in same.

It must be remembered that former Governor Peter Obi nearly died in a suspicious plane crash while shuttling in the air in the course of wrestling the strong forces from the Southwest who were bent at ensuring that the “Sabmiller” Breweries was never originally located in Igbo Land; an effort that just paid off in their favor. SBCHROs also has it on good authority that the Budweiser and Hero Breweries Company approached the present Governor of Anambra State twice for allocation and acquisition of a larger parcel of land to expand their facilities, but got cold response, forcing them to abandon their third scheduled meeting in frustration, leading to relocation to Shagamu in Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.

At the commissioning of the N90billion project on 28thAugust 2018 with full support and presence of the Governor of Ogun State and members of his cabinet, instant employment of 600 direct or skilled laborers and no fewer than 2000 unskilled or indirect laborers was announced. The employment rate is also expected to hit thousands and tens of thousands for the skilled and the unskilled involving sons and daughters of the Yoruba Nation in coming years; in addition to projected monthly tax payment of hundreds of millions of naira into the coffers of the Government of Ogun State.

Social and economic consequences of loss of the gargantuan N90 billion Brewery investments to Yoruba Nation; on Igbo Nation and her People are innumerable. For instance, Anambra State and the entire Igbo Nation as the largest consumers of the Brewery’s products will now be pumping billions of naira into Ogun and Southwest or Yoruba economy; in the form of “let Okeke buys and drinks, but let Adekunle have the cash”.

More shocking is the fact that the God given brewery located at the heart of the Igbo Nation is now taken more than 150kilometers farther away from the heart of Igbo Land; to the extent that the products of the Brewery will now be produced outside Igbo Land with Igbo money, loaded in containers and long trucks and paid for with Igbo money, procured their trucks with Igbo money, crisscrossed over 150 kilometers from Shagamu (Yoruba Land) to Onitsha (Igbo Land) with sundry security roadblock extortions and government revenue ticket purchases.

The products will now, too, be trans-loaded and offloaded with Igbo money, warehoused with Igbo money and bought and consumed in Igbo Land with Igbo money. It is also most likely that the Company’s original facilities in Onitsha will soon be dismantled and relocated to Shagamu with its zinced structures retained skeletally as its “Onitsha satellite warehouse or depot”. Deep fears also abound over the likelihood of changing the name of “Hero Beer” with its perceived heroic Igbo symbol and replaced with a possible symbol of its new host geopolitical Zone or entity.

It is therefore heartbreaking and condemnable for the affairs of the Igbo Nation to be left in the hands of “apostles of stomach infrastructure and casino bar disco dancers” parading themselves as “elected” and “appointed” public office holders in Igbo Land. It does not border them at all that perpetrators of physical violence, structural violence and cultural violence against the Igbo Nation and her People have sworn never to allow the Race to reap from fruit of their hard labor.
Despite controlling over 60% of the country’s trade and investment, yet hash federal and regional policies have remained in place ensuring zero presence of functional international passenger and cargo airports, seaports and wharfs, railways, seaport bridges and roads as well as establishment of diplomatic missions anywhere in Igbo Land. Such age long hash policies are designed to make Igbo Nation and her People mere spectators in the Nigerian Economy with political leaders in Igbo Land chronically circling and recycling political frivolities, irrelevancies, shortsightedness, leprously and brigandage.
