frumentius:I haven't the faintest clue. |
Denel Mechatronics
|
Odunayaw:Article August 2016...Defenceweb "Denel has not abandoned its 105 mm LEO artillery project and is looking for partners to conclude development of the weapon. This comes as Armscor has issued a request for information for light artillery for the South African Army. According to Denel Group Acting CEO Zwelakhe Ntshepe, although the LEO was developed many years ago, Denel is now looking for a client to co-develop the gun. This would entail producing a prototype ahead of production. "Because of the nature of conflict you need a light air transportable gun. We have not abandoned that project," he said earlier this week, as Denel is looking for investors or partners to take it to completion. A request for information has gone out for light artillery for the South African Army, which may be a launch customer for the weapon. Ntshepe said that if a South African requirement is limited, Denel will ask the South African National Defence Force if other investors can come on board the project." ... "Prototype" in this sense is not meant in the traditional sense of the word. Prototypes have been built, tested and fired. Final stages to production is what's required.

frumentius:I would assume SF Western Cape and Navy sub's have been used (or train to) drop small groups off unnamed coasts for whatever clandestine reason? |
frumentius:Forget the semi. Orgasm! Great pics ![]() |
Denel Seeker 400. Apparently in operation with SA Defence Intelligence. Apparently.....
|
frumentius:Is it wrong that these guys give me a semi? |
Sizzorkay:I don't think you really had a reply, but felt compelled to say something. Kindly point out a source where one can find 100% golden facts. I'll use that source from now one. |
patches689:I think Saturdays and Sundays are his special days to smoke something. |
Sizzorkay:It's ISIS, not History of Khoi San Music and Arts. Information is easily available. Boko Haram is nowhere near as capable as ISIS is (or rather was at its peak). The two don't fall into the same class at all. |
jteku:Nigeria would find it difficult to deal with ISIS. Despite the answer from the fraudster, ISIS is much more sophisticated than Boko Haram don't let him fo.ol you. It would be a major struggle for Nigeria to deal with a full blown ISIS insurgency. In fact it would be a major struggle for most countries. The point is to not let these groups grow from the get go. Take action as soon as you see a threat, not desperately start buying new equipment after they've taken over half your country. |
ActivateKruger:Not even one single bolt has been made for these PARTS. But already might soon assemble of all things. I wonder when soon is......2050? |
tdayof:Yeah Nigeria has a much better track record than South Africa. Especially when Nigeria has a super physical team. |
Nigerdeltaboi:The only one with comprehension issues here is you. Original article said an MOU has been signed where Nigeria will manufacturer some parts for this plane. Bear in mind no one knows which parts those are (could be chairs for all you know) and when it will start. Henry took that information and extrapolated.....plane which might soon be assembled in Nigeria. There is a massive difference between making parts and assembling a plane. So your fanboy Henry did nothing but lie. He made it up. I might as well say South Africa might soon make its own submarines. |
Henry240:I'm not in pain my dear. And if such useless things drive you it only exposes your mental state to others. You got caught. Admit it and move on. |
Henry240:Shame, making up things on your own thread. How embarrassing. You got caught, but aren't man enough to admit it. Anyways... |
Breaking Defence News: South Africa might soon start the design and testing of a 5th generation fighter to replace the Gripen in 2030. Details sketchy at the moment.
|
Henry240:No your comment was a border line blatant lie. You should have rather said you personally wish or hope Nigeria can start assembling that aircraft soon. Look at the other people who replied to that post, they were under the impression that Nigeria CAN actually assemble such an aircraft soon...when it can't. You are being nothing but a fraud. I don't eat pap thanks. Chow |
Henry240:So you pulled that statement out of your bow.els and justified it to yourself by adding "might"? Anything might happen anywhere....India might land on the moon one day. It was a non.sense post from you, simple. Components made in Nigeria to aircraft assembled in Nigeria are massively different things. You know that, we know that....stop making ish up. Even worse you said " might soon" ![]() |
Henry240:I'm confused . How did you jump from an article stating MOU signed to make PARTS in Nigeria (not even knowing what those parts may be) to you stating this aircraft might soon be assembled in Nigeria? How did you make that massive jump? Is this a personal wish list of yours or is there another link you haven't posted? |
http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48140:busy-times-for-the-rooivalk&catid=124:military-helicopters&Itemid=282 "Last year was a busy year for the Rooivalk, with the attack helicopter firing thousands of cannon rounds and rockets at rebels in the DRC and Denel pushing ahead with a possible upgrade and export sales of the aircraft. 2016 was the busiest year for the Rooivalk in terms of , with the three aircraft deployed to the United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Monusco) firing 1 200 70 mm rockets and 11 000 rounds of 20 mm ammunition. This compares to 55 70 mm rockets in 2013, when the aircraft were first deployed to the DRC. In total, from 2013 to 2015, the Rooivalks had flown 1 163.3 hours in the DRC and fired 199 70 mm rockets and 610 rounds of 20 mm ammunition. An idea of how busy the aircraft were last year comes from the last two weeks of December 2016, when Rooivalks engaged in combat eight times, mostly against ADF rebels in the region of Beni in the eastern DRC. Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels were mostly in the Rooivalk’s crosshairs but other smaller rebel groups/armed gangs were targeted as well. " Yes the numbers aren't staggering, but at least Rooivalk is being used operationally. Bear in mind they are under U.N orders, not SANDF. So tactics differ.
