shocked

Nigeria's debt is change compared to that of the US...

I pray will get debt forgiveness..

Understand that America's debt is just on paper. The debt is in their currency because they borrowed themselves the money so no point paying it. Nigeria on the other hand borrowed money from outside and this is one of the agenda's of IMF and other world organizations to keep Africa in debt. The western world has a hand in the problem we face in Africa the we made it worse with corruption. Nigeria might end up becoming Venezuela by that time anyone in Nigeria will smell pepper.

For some time now, things have been happening in my life which i can't really explain.
So many things happening and i am just at a cross-road.
First of all, i can't really say i am a deep Christain even if i am from a strong Christain home.
I have been a nominal Christain all along. I am neither her nor there when it comes to Christianity.
One leg in, one leg out.
During my low time in life, when things were very rough for me 5/6 years ago. My business/investment crumbled, financially at mess, i decided to sort spiritual help by seeking the face of God i so much doesn't really believe in but you know some situations just render you helpless and depressed.
SO i met this prophet in Ph. My concern about this man is that though he sees vision(or whatever it is) but he is too money conscious.
Tbh, he has told me many things about my past, told me many things about my wife and in-laws despits not knowing them nor met or seen them before.
He predicts 90% accurately (how he does that i don't know but he claims it is God)
Told me my FIL once worked as a doctor in saudi, how he came back and became broke.
He predicted i will get a work in saudi and it was true.
Predicted again he saw me working in Angola and it came to pass again. He told me this january this year ( he doesn't predict offpoint like you will work in Africa, No. he will call the country name whole haaaaa waaaa and it will be correct.
He said my former company will call me and give me a lump sum. Never believed him because i already left company 6 months ago and never heard the company do such. My brothers on nairaland, company called me oooo and paid me a lump sum.
Told me sooo many things, i mean so many things. So this is not about him being fake or heard info from somewhere.
It is either he is genuine or using voodoo. It can only be 1 out of these 2 options.
Now the issue is, he is toooo money conscious.
He has literarily turned me to his ATM machine.
First, he forced me to be paying tithe and it has to be his church. How will i be staying in lagos, going to church in lagos but paying tithe in Ph? does it really make any sense?
After so many pressure, i started doing that but i noticed he has graduated to other things.
He will tell me he saw this or this or if i explained some challenges am facing, he will tell me to raise so so so amount to solve it.
He has collected so much from me this year, bought some instruments for his church.
Now he claims i need to raise about 1.5m to pray for me else he sees them sacking me or reducing my salary where i work presently and it has to even be in dollars and not naira.
No be juju be this?
What kind of God ask millions and even requesting dollars to save me? what happens to prayers and fasting again? are those not working again? is tithe not working again?
Abeg, no be juju be this?
The man seems to have been running street on me.
I am not that stupid, i have been observant and keeping records of his request.
The only reason have been keeping him at arms length is just because of his visions but he is becoming a burden and something else to me.
Now requesting millions? to pray and avert only God knows what?
I am not that stupid. It took him a lot to convince me due to his near-accurate visions else i no get that time too for all these pastors.

My question is - how does he do it? how does he predicts nearly accurate events both past and future? it was what made me let down my guards with him

Most of them uses voodoo to predict or see the future. The problem is most Nigerians just want a smooth road in the journey of life there by replying on all this prophet of doom. If you are not careful they will ruin your life.

I once had this same encounter with a prophet some years ago. This man even told me I was bearing a name I didn't know about. I had to ask my parents and it was true. He said so many things that messed up with my psych for years. I had to cut him off and face my life head on.

Delete the man's number and block him or change your line. Because if you don't you will forever be his slave and your children will take over from where you stopped.

Health / Re: High BP At A Young Age, What Could Be The Cause by sshyne(m): 12:41pm On Aug 25, 2022
DICO111:
Greetings to you all.

Since birth till date (I'm 31) I have never fallen sick to a point were a test is recommended, so I have never had a medical test all my life.

Sometimes when I feel feverish or down in anyway I usually buy malaria and typhoid medicines and that usually work for me.

But some time in 2018, (I was 27 then) I was informed by my uncle's wife that she was going to do a free medical outreach in our village as her own way of helping people (she's a nurse in U.S) and she told me she would like me to be present to help organize and sort out things to make the work easy for medical professionals she invited to do their work.

Majority of the people that turned up were oldies so we had loads of work to do bring in chairs for the overwhelming turn up.... people's blood pressure and blood sugar were check and they also had eyes test and corrective lenses were given.

Now, after the whole exhausting exercise, my auntie as a fondly call her asked all of us that worked to also check our BP and blood sugar, which took turns and did as instructed.

My blood sugar was normal according to the nurse but my BP was something else, 105/156... she immediately called my auntie's attention to it and she opted to check me herself using another equipment, she did and it came as 110/160..... she told me it's really very high and considering my age shouldn't be.

Prior to that event I have never felt anything awkward or unusual, I play football and do almost all exercises a young guy will want to do... it's also pertinent to note that I do not smoke and even though i drink beer i dont exceed 2 bottle because i have "light brain" like they will always say.

She ("my auntie"wink asked the senior doctor present to exchange contacts with me so that at intervals of 1 or 2 weeks I will always go check my BP and see if it will reverse to normal.... I went to his private clinic twice and the results was always high so he, on the second occasion gave me a card of 10mg drugs...

I took the whole card as direct and came back to the clinic this time the result was 100/138, he now asked me to always check it at any pharmacy store near me and always have the aforementioned medicines available.
The doc. asked me not to be taking it daily anymore but only when it's high (above 100/140), I have kept to this routine ever since...

Now my problem here is, in recent time I find myself feeling more week and dizzy and I dont even know how to describe the feelings cry cry
I become very worn out after 45 minutes football unlike me, I barely play now.

My auntie travelled back and seems to forgotten everything she promised, I call and no response and I hate pestering people.
I want a solution to this BP thing, I feel bad about it all the time and always ashamed to even mention it sad
I feel I'm gradually going downhill health wise....I need help and I need it urgently please...... I can't take anything more than this cry
Don't disturb your aunty anymore. Go to a good private hospital or government hospital. They will give you drugs to control the bp to a normal stage and they would most likely ask you to take an ECG and kidney function test.

Make sure you exercise regularly and change your diet. HBP is a silent killer so do the needful

Send her packing or pack your things out. Forgive her but don't take her back and also make sure you carry out a DNA test on your son.

Marriage of this days ehn. Why will you be married and not have sex with your wife for 4 months wetin happen. She's emotionally detached from you since, you just didn't pick up the clue. Once your wife starts refusing sex then just know the marriage is over.

Keeff:
When we started out, we both agreed on her not dressing provocatively or giving negative impression( nose rings, double necklaces and legchain). She stopped the legchain she was using at that time, the relationship is two years old now and she now insists she wants to be using it and her mom who is a single mom doesn't see anything bad in it and believes it's all fashion. Both mother and daughter are the party types, always want to attend parties, I think her mother influenced her on that and now we having serious issues because I told her I can't allow it and I'm on the brink of losing her even tho we've been through a lot together and she even already aborted like twice for me.
Dunno what to do

This the problem with men. Were you blind when you were dating her? Didn't you see all the leg chains and co? Oh you think you can make her stop? She's the only one that can make herself stop using those stuffs and don't tell me you didn't know she was a party freak before marriage. You people just create unnecessary problems for yourself. If people warn you you will say love is more important. Deal with the consequences

Philip94:
My newly wedded wife always capitalize on what I did and said wrong eventhough she does and says wrong things to me which I most times overlook.

On many occasions, she will start giving me attitude and will pick up quarrel with me for weeks. I have told her countless times to always address issues she has with me immediately before it turns to a big quarrel.

She wont listen but will rather keep malice with me at any little misunderstanding we have.

Please, how can I find a lasting solution to my wife's unending quarrel, malice and resentment? I am already getting tired of rhe whole thing .

Unfortunately this happens when a lady didn't marry you for love. You are the one in love with her and the feelings is not mutual. You can't keep malice with anyone you claim to love. The advice I will give you is for you to man up and take charge of your home. Stop being emotional and stop reacting to anything she does. With time she will either come around or you end up seeking happiness elsewhere.

Brotherly, what a wonderful idea you have about our sisters and the power of possessing the capacity for rational critical thinking. However, your desert analogy is out-and-out wrong. On the contrary, we have a lot of oil deposits buried in some desert, especially in the Middle East.

You might well remember that Niger Republic, one of our dear neighbours that is ravaged by the menace of Sahara desert, recently discovered crude oil and has commenced exploitation.

He's just trying to make a point, leave crude oil alone and go back to the topic.

Back to the OP.

One thing you need to know is A FEMALE CHURCH MEMBER IS 10 TIMES MORE IMPORTANT THAN A MALE MEMBER. DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE LADIES ARE EASILY BRAINWASHED AND WITHOUT THOSE LADIES THOSE PASTORS MEALS ARE THREATENED. AND ITS THROUGH THIS LADIES THAT THE PASTORS HAVE CONTROL OVER THE FAMILY.

I will advice you to think well before you leap, religion as done more harm than good so you need to be careful with all this religious ladies. Your girlfriend is already telling you that her pastor is more important than her parents. If that's the case, then you are nobody to her. Try and watch her, you will notice she can go on her knees to greet her pastor but she will never do that for her parents. You need to avoid such ladies. If the pastor tells her you are not meant to be together then there's nothing her parents can say to change her mind. All this is to tell you how deep it is.

My advice, Never marry a woman that doesn't put you first, never marry an over religious lady (being religious doesn't make anyone a good person) unless you are able to format her brain and open her eyes to all the evil practices going on in the church. And most importantly, it's not a must you marry a church going girl, there are ladies that don't worship pastors. The day you are lucky to meet one that's the day you will find peace.

All the best in your decision

Romance / Re: Dudes What Would You Do If You Were In My Shoes? by sshyne(m): 11:06am On Dec 14, 2019
Ekeletu:
Happy weekend my beautiful people. Please there's something bothering me and I think I should share it here.
I will be very brief.

In 2012 I met a girl and we started dating. One year later, she cheated with a guy and got pregnant. Gave birth to a still child. Because of the love I had for her I forgave her and we continue dating.

In 2015 she cheated again and got pregnant for a guy and aborted it. I called her one day and told her that I can't continue with a cheating partner so we broke up.

After breaking up I became bitter towards women and vow never to be in a relationship again.
During this time of breakup with my ex, we continue communicating and we were just friends. She got into a new relationship which she told me and she advice me to find a girl and love not to stay single and I told her I can't.

After a while we spoke and I asked her about her man she told me that she is with a new guy that the old one left. I asked her why he left she said there was no problem. they just decided to end it.

I added her ex on facebook and chated. I asked him why he broke up with his woman, if she cheated. He told me she didn't, that he has a serious relationship with his hometown girl and his parents want him to marry that his hometown girl, so instead of wasting this other girl's time he had to end it. He began telling me how good this girl was during their time together.

This my ex, since breakup we have been good friends. We seek for advice from one another and help.
She is always coming to me for monetary assistance and when I have I do help. Sometime ago, I lend her 200k to setup a business and when I discovered that the business wasn't moving well I told her not to bother about refund.

Last month I when to visit my people so I branch her shop. Getting there I saw her using a phone and it seems the phone was giving her issues so last week I ordered 52k phone and send to her. She was very happy.

Three days ago she sent me a text that she want us to date again and she vowed she will never cheat again.
I still like this girl but my mind is numb for a relationship. I told her I can't date again that even if I do, I won't love that person like I should.

She keeps on begging me. Today her message woke me up.

Now I don't know why she wants to return back. Is it the goodies she has been getting from me or is it love?
I don't trust women again.

Na you de cheat na me de beg. Lol
It's people like you that will write Joro after two years of marriage.
Bro you lost the beginning. Never continue with a cheating woman.
Please don't be a fool.. Respect yourself.

Stop being a blind bat.

The law is not to be depended on for salvation. What we are depending on now is Jesus because we couldn't keep the whole law perfectly. If you decided to keep the law towards salvation, then ensure you keep the whole law. Ensure you never break a single one of it. If you pass all but break one, you will be guilty of even the ones you passed. That's why Paul said such a person is cursed for depending on the law for his salvation. So he days we should depend on Jesus for salvation. Does that mean I can now go about killing people and even becoming homosexual against the law? No, because if I do God will punish me. That's shows that the law is still effective in that regard but not towards salvation. Depending on it for salvation places you under curse because you will always fail.

Do you now understand? But yo you, you thought Paul meant the law has been discarded. If so, kindly break the below law by having g hot sex with your mother tonight and see if the society and God won't punish you

Leviticus 18:6
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their unclothedness: I am the LORD.

Its sure you have being sleeping with your mom because you keep making the same statement. You are the most confused idiot I have ever seen and everyone can see that. You are just contradicting yourself and it shows how stupid you are. I'm sure you are married with kids, it's people like you that your wife seek real men to sleep with. I'm sure you definitely don't know that. You think you can run a family with this your dumbness?

I will say this again, you are a thief and that curse will definitely be on your children. The gospel of Christ is not profitable that's why you all follow the law. Even the jews don't pay tithe anymore.

IT'S OBVIOUS YOUR GOD IS YOUR BELLY

Go and work make hunger no finish your family.

You read the Bible but you don't understand it. So we are no longer under the law, right? Why not go and have sex with your mother which is against one of those old testament laws. Why not sleep with your daughter.

Look, when Paul said we are no longer in the under the law, he simply meant we are not depending on the law for salvation. This doesn't mean the law has been discarded, which is why it is still a sin to sleep with one's next of kin. We obey the law to be right with God.

You see how dumb you sound? Read what you wrote and tell me if you make any sense. Even my baby sister thinks better than this.

You are contradicting yourself, since you know the law as being discarded then why are you still paying and collecting tithe or is tithing not of law? Read my post again. If you don't observe all the law you are cursed. But you thieves decided to pick the one that suites your evil and worldly desire and leave the other ones.

You are all bunch of thieves

Look at you regurgitating what you have been deceived with. You even said Jesus never preached tithing. Who was talking below, saying tithing should never be neglected?

Matthew 23:23 (KJV)
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
It clearly shows how you have being deceived. Why not read from Matthew 23:1. Don't just cherry pick. The Pharisees were the law keepers and the covenant with God through Jesus Christ hasn't being established. Just show me a place where Christians paid tithe in the Bible. I'm just tired of having this same conversation with you. Your motive is just too put your sheeples in check so you can milk then dry. Just know you are under a curse if you rely on the law to be made right with God, I didn't say it Paul did.

Galatians 3:9-14
9So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.

10But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.”d 11So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”e 12This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”f

13But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”g 14Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promisedh Holy Spirit through fa

alBHAGDADI:

There is a movement today which believes the tithe which they are to pay to God should be given to the widows, fatherless, orphans or the needy in general. This movement wants to give the tithe to the needy directly from their pocket without giving it to the Church. They even have a Bible passage to back it up. Let's examine it.

Deuteronomy 14:22-29 (KJV)
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

As seen above, nowhere in the passage are people ordered to give the tithe directly to the needy. God only says the needy should not be forsaken. How does one forsake the needy in this case? You forsake the needy when you fail to tithe, not when you don't give it to them directly.

The tithe is used for different purposes in the house of God. A portion caters for the priests, a portion sees to the care of the house of God, another portion caters for the needy etc. All of these are supervised by God's priest. So when you tithe, the needy comes to the house of God and they are cared for from it.

The reason why the above passage says the tithe has to be taken to the place where God puts his name, i.e the House of God, is because it is from there the distribution to the purposes it serves is done.

Now, there are two kinds of people in the movement that want to give their tithe directly to the needy by themselves. It sound a like a great idea to give to the needy. But they are both wrong. One class is sincere but sincerely wrong, while the other is just being a thief.

An example of such movement is seen in the gospel passages talking about the woman with an alabaster of expensive ointment who poured it on Jesus to show appreciation for what he did for her.

When the disciples saw what she did, they felt awkward about it. They wondered why the expensive ointment wasn't sold and the money given to the poor. They were since but sincerely wrong.

Matthew 26:8-11 (KJV)
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Now, what about the class that is wrong and also being a thief about it? That class has people with the mindset of Judas Iscariot. See what he said below and how the Bible described him and those who reason alike.

John 12:4-6 (KJV)
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Let me tell you something about many of those who love to say their tithe ought to be given to the poor directly by themselves without taking it to the Church. They are thieves. How do I know this? Just read on.

The Bible clearly states that the tithe belongs to God and he even said it has to be brought into his house as seen below.

Leviticus 27:30
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.

Malachi 3:10 (KJV)
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,

Now, these people who go give it directly to the poor are simply robbing God. They are not to decide how God should spend what belongs to him. They are to pay it to the church and allow God and his priest decide how to spend it. But no, they think it is right the tithe is given to the poor and needy themselves.

Ask them what they did with their own 90 percent. They spent it all on themselves without caring for the poor out of it. But it is God's own money they now want to give to the poor. That's robbery. They are Judas Iscariot, because if they truly cared for the poor, they would have something from their own 90 percent to give to the poor and allow God enjoy his own 10 percent. They are like Judas who had the money bag but never gave to the poor from it but is eyeing the expensive oil spent on Jesus who is God.

Mathew 26:10-11
10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

The moment you decide to neglect the word of God by giving the tithe to the needy yourself, you will get consumed by pride. There's this feeling you will get when you give it to the needy yourself. You will feel fulfilled, however, that's you feeling puffed up and consumed by pride because you did the desire of your heart, not what God ordered.

Guess what? You have taken God's glory because the people you gave it to will praise you and henceforth hold you in high-esteem. All of these belongs to God, but you have cornered it to yourself.

You used God's money to buy those things for yourself - that's another offence. You also prevent the needy from going to God's house to seek help where they will be exposed to his word. Now, it's your own house they will go to.

Guess what will happen to God's house? It will become empty because there will be no priest nor workers to run it because they are not getting paid and can't feed. They will go look for job elsewhere. The Church will become empty because the needy won't be there to fill it up and there won't be a priest to minister to them. Such a church will die. That is what Satan wants. He wants the church to be starved of funds so it will die and souls will continue to go to hell. You have foolishly aided the devil's dream because you chose to follow your heart and emotions instead of the word of God. Your way seemed right to you over the word of God.

What you have to do is pay the tithe to the house of God and never worry how it's spent. It's not your money, so why bother yourself about it? Also, make sure it is God's house you are paying the money to, not some crooked man running a business center and claiming it is a church. Pay the money into the bank God uses and it will get to him, not in the bank he doesn't use.

Next time, follow what the Bible says, not your heart which is prone to emotions. The thought of our hearts sometimes seems right but are wrong. Many of the tithe we pay are not always used to maintain the church. They are sent to jungles where missionary men are facing dangers to spread the gospel. Don't hinder God's work by disobeying his word and following your heart.

Thank you.

Lol.. You are still using this Old Testament to defend tithing. Where is it stated that you give your tithe to the pastors? The verse even asked us to eat the tithe. The tithe was mainly used to take care of the needy(read Duet 14-27-29). Even tithe wasn't money, it was crops, animals and alcoholic wine and don't tell me there was no money then.

As a Christian all you need to do is follow Christ teaching in Mathew 25: 35-41( 31“But when the Son of Mand comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. 32All the nationse will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.

34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,f you were doing it to me!’

41“Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.g 42For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

44“Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’

45“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’

46“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.)

Don't listen to all this people, Jesus Christ preached humanity. He never preached tithe to anyone.

As regards the issue of Circumcision you raised you have to understand that it is under Ceremonial law. All Ceremonial laws existed before the law and they point to something.

Let me tell you Abraham performed Circumcision before the law. Go and read Genesis 17. The circumcision then was a token of covenant assured and effected upon Abraham and his descendants of a promised Messiah. Circumcision is a ceremonial law which is symbolical. It has a pointer. It points to the New Covenant of Sanctification which is the Circumcision of the heart of Believers that Jesus came to die for. Read these Bible References: Deuteronomy 10:16 ; 30:6 ; Ezekiel 44:7 ; Acts 7:51 ; Romans 2:28 ; Colossians 2:11

Animal Sacrifices and co are symbolical and that is why their principle still remain. We dont perform animal sacrifice and burnt offering again because they are pointing to Jesus who will die in the future. Now that Jesus has died on the cross... He has been substituted as the animal and because His own is perfect it was just once and anybody that uses faith to apply the blood of Jesus shed will be saved. So you see the principle never changed but the subject. The principle is without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. It means atonement is necessary to deal with sin. Abraham, Noah, Abel... all performed sacrifices.

For Tithe, the principle still remains. The mistake you people are making is that you are seeing it as something given by the law to do. No. The law of Moses did not birth Tithing. It only regulated how it should be paid and used. Same with Circumcision. The law came to regulate who to be circumcised.... that is, every Israelite male child. So that is it.
Tithing is a principle of removing a percentage 10% or more of man's income/gain as what belongs to God.

How will a Child of God not pay Tithe even after God has blessed you. It is normal for you as a Christian to give to God what belongs to Him. And get this right you can't nullify the principle of Tithing in the name of Pastors using dubious means to collect money from people. No you cant. There are false pastors and that does not mean we should go against what God himself commanded. There are Pastors today who fake healing / using black power for healing. Should we because of this say there is nothing like divine healing from God again. No.

Sir you have to be guided. We shouldn't allow the devil to rub us of our blessing in name of fighting against fake pastors. We need to understand the Scriptures

Tithe as never being a criteria to be a child of God. Collecting tithes as Christians is fraud. All what you explained is what pastors use in confusing Christians. Tithing is of the law and it's no longer relevant today.

Am tired of this argument. Paul or Peter didn't collect tithe, even Jesus didn't. Then why are you people collecting it on is behalf? No one as shown me where Tithe was paid with money, y'all just assume what you wanna assume because of greed. It's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a brainwashed fellow to recover.

God bless

So what do u make of Mathew 23:23.
You can't use Mat 23:23 to justify tithing. Read from Mat 23:1 that way you will understand what Jesus was trying to say. He was Scolding the Pharisees (teachers of the law) and not praising them. As at that time the law was practiced and Christianity hasn't started. Jesus never collected tithe because according to the law of Moses he is not qualified to collect it, only the Levites can collect it and Jesus never paid tithe because only farmers pay tithe and he was not a farmer. Tithing was farm produce so why are your pastors laying emphasis on tithing in for of money? I they really wanna follow the law they should stick to farm produce. Please I wanna you too show me a place in the Bible where Jesus was preaching on the benefits of tithes or why we should tithe.

The law as being done away with, including circumcision. If I may ask you, does circumcision as anything to do with being a Christian?

You have to first admit that Jesus Christ did not oppose tithing rather he ratified it.
Why did Jesus Christ had a Treasurer?
For Paul and Peter, lots of things they did were not recorded. I can as well ask what kind of bed were they sleeping on while in Ministry.

Sorry, that question you ask sounds dumb compare to the question I asked you. Did Jesus have tresurers to collect tithe or what? Read the whole of Mathew 23 ,stop quoting where suites you. Tithing is of the law, and the law as being done away with. Read Galatians 3 and you can read the whole of Galatians to enlighten yourself. I don't knife what kind of evil spirit ministers to Nigerian Christians.

Lol. But you only succeeds in confirming the position of the guy. You clearly affirmed that Jesus Christ has nothing against tithing. It's in negleting the other things that Jesus was against.
We should respect other people's choices.

Please show me where Jesus or his disciples collected or paid tithe. At least you can't be more Christian than Paul and Peter. Or are you trying to tell me that Jesus forgot to collect it, thereby sending Nigerian pastors to collect it on his behalf? Please I need a response

Where the apostles not elders or pastors of churches e.g Peter, John etc?

Yes, but the apostles didnt collect it for selfish gain. They distributed every damn thing amongst the needy but your pastors use it for jets and mansions.

And what has the bold got to do with anything. Didn't you read where he said they are Muslims.? If he is struggling with accepting God existence despite his Islamic background, is it Christianity with its many contradictions, lack of genuine spirituality and excessive focus on worldly material wealth that will provide him clarity?

God bless you brother. It's better to be a Muslim or a freethinker than a Nigerian Christian.

Note- am a Christian But not a "Nigerian Christian"

The wahala with you guys and your fundamental sleight of hand is to teach that the only way to give to God is through pastors / church which is quite contrary to what Jesus taught us all in Mat 25: 31-46. Pls read it below and be reminded how Jesus wants us to give to him and serve him.

Meanwhile I know a fellow who just did several transfers this morning. First was to set up 12 recurring transfers of N40k each to his brother who is in his 70s but has fallen on hard times despite having blessed the whole family when the going was good. Second was a N100k transfer to his neighbour who is ill and also not in good shape financially. Pls note he is not on good terms with the neighbour politically. Third was 12 recurring transfers of N15k each to a cousin who is a struggling widow with two kids. Fourth is N180k to a female cousin in her 70s who is childless and not too able economically. Fifth is N360k to a cousin he wronged in childhood so this is more of ongoing reparation. Pls note that today isn't an extraordinary day for him as he generally provides for the needs of those around him as God has blessed him.

Question is: Can we say this fellow would have complied better with the words of Jesus in Mat 25 and elsewhere if he had given all this money to some overfed pastor who had deceived him by claiming to be the only way to God? We should read our bibles pali to pali and stop being made merchandise of.

Parable of The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

He has done what Jesus asked us to do in Matthew 25. Those giving money to pastors are only puppets.
The early apostles had day jobs but these scammers chose to be lazy.

Have you done what the early Christians did, i.e sell your land or house to give to the church?

This statement shows how cunning you are.
They didn't give it to the church, they gave it to the apostles and they shared it amongst all the believers that there was no needy among them. They didn't give it to the church to buy gold or camel.

I can't believe some Christians still carried the stupidity to 2019

If you can “hear from God” you should seriously consider a visit to a psychiatrist, it might just be the early onset of schizophrenia.

God bless you, my mum is actually suffering from it today. She believes she hears from God for more than 20years now only for us to grow up and realize she as schizophrenia, till today she as being a pain in our neck.

The topic should be how to know a man who's not serving God?

The answer is simple. They don't hear from God. Someone who can't hear from God definitely can never be spiritual. They follow the teaching of men. They are unable to think independently.

So you hear from God? You think that little voice in your head is from God?
