Before proceeding to create this topic, I searched on Nairaland to see if anyone had written on this topic -- no one till the time of writing this.

Undoubtedly, GT Bank has the largest customer base in Lagos for millenials like myself. All my siblings but one uses GT Bank as their primary account. I happen to be a heavy user of the mobile banking products including GTB. On certain months, my sms alerts exceed 3000 Naira. I was excited with the 737 product by GTB. Moreso, the GT coins was even better. This meant I was rewarded for my heavy usage.

Around Q4 of 2017 I noticed the rewards for using 737 in form of GT coins. In December, I had more than 50 737 transactions - account transfers and airtime purchase. Towards the end of December, I logged in to my internet banking profile on PC(i rarely do so)

I checked my GT coins to see what I had and behold it was 80! After how many transactions? I felt something was not right. I used 737 to load airtime which should give me more GT coins. Nope, it was stuck at 80. I contacted their customer care; was told they will report the case. No one got back to me on this.

Fast forward to January 2018, my GT coins is stuck at 140! In a few days, it is RESET to 0 as a new month begins.

It is advisable to not promise what you can't give.

I don't know anyone that has successfully received 200 GT coins and gotten the 1000 airtime! I am not even talking about the iPhone X they claim you could win.

Moving forward, I will use the Android app for my transactions and stop dashing Gtb my 20 Naira.

Did you read the terms and conditions? You have to cash out the GTCoins within 30 days or they will reset to 0. Also, if you use another bank's ATM, you lose the coins. Read the terms and conditions. Most people never read the fine print.

Hello Op. I have been so some West African countries and when you talk of comparisons, I'm going to list a few things.
Overall, we have money than any other ECOWAS member and they sort of look up to us , only that we aren't exercising our influence because we can't still put our lives together.

In terms of security, Nigeria is nothing to write about ( You hardly hear of robberies in Ghana except the minor ones).

Ease of doing business is higher in Ghana and other places than in Nigeria.

Cost of living is higher. Petrol is sold for more than 300 naira per liter.

VAT is about 17.5. So that sort of make things expensive. But the peace is lasting and easy with basic amenities like water and power.


Other ECOWAS countries are more law abiding than Nigerians. I am using Ghana as an example because I live here more than any other ECOWAS countries, not including Nigeria. A Ghanaian driver obeys traffic laws and knows should stop at zebra crossing.

More stable democracy.

Employment is a no no. Most of other ecowas citizens are docile and nothing pushes them in life. They are very much contented and barely think outside the box.

They just want to be employed and earn what they can use to feed their families and nothing more.

You have no sense of history. Some of us followed Man Utd from the 2nd season of the champions league (1993/1994 season) so we can give you some history. A player can be a good player but a bad fit for the team. When you see a deficiency in your team, you have to fill it. This is what this transfer has achieved.

Most of Man Utd's attacks have come from the wings. Teams that neutralize that strategy succeed against Man Utd. That is why a creative player who can play in the middle to push attacks from there was badly needed in Man Utd. Mkhi was bought to do this, going by his performances in Borussia Dortmund where he was voted Bundesliga player of the year for 2 seasons in a row prior to joining Man Utd. But he struggled to fulfill this role.

So letting Mkhi go for Sanchez for me is a masterstroke of genius. It is as simple as that. Also, Sanchez wants trophies. He was never getting it at Arsenal. With Man Utd he has a chance: maybe not this season but next.
