There WILL ALWAYS BE two sides to a coin. The two sides can NEVER be equal. There is nothing like a one-sided coin. To draw the analogy, there will always be those who demand money for services, and there will be those who give the same services for free. Gani Fawehinmi was well known for taking cases pro bono. The same cannot be said for others in his category.

Your job is to identify the class you belong to, and stick to it without criticising those who choose the other side of the coin. Nigerians are very good at putting their noses where their money is not. The other day, I was in a cafe browsing and a woman came in complaining that the Abuja Environmental Protection Board had seized all her goods. Her husband was jobless; she was carrying a child looking obviously malnourished. She needed N3,000 to restart her hawking business. Some gave her N10, some N20 (ridiculous!), I gave her N2,000. and another guy gave her N1,000. A stupid Igbo man in that place started asking me why I gave her so much money, and was rambling about how women carry babies to pose and collect money for people.

I asked the stupid man whether it was his sense, or his physical power that I used in making the money I gave the woman; by the time I was through with him, he froze and slunk into his shell.

This sort of attitude where people start telling others how and where they should use their money just makes my blood boil. If you no get money to pay for signal, simply stick to your freebies. Nothing do you as I also use freebies. But then, I also pay for what I need to pay for, and I do not believe in telling another man who has made his money, how he should use it.

So if you know you did not give the guy money, do not tell him what he should or should not pay for.

Guy, you did not give the guy money to go for the training, so you should zip up your mouth. It was not your brain that the guy used to decide he needed the training, and it was definitely not your pocket or bank account that churned out the money used for it. If you are here to learn and you feel you do not need to pay, fine. There is enough here for freebie hunters. But if someone decides to pay, that is his business.
